Morning everyone!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sexonlegs · 01/12/2006 15:02

Nutty, isn't that a bizarre coincidence!
I didn't buy much at all - a microwave steamer thing and some clips to close bags up. I am sooo not in to cooking. I do it I have to, but it's all basic stuff, ands really coudn't justify spending loads of money esp with Xmas and bean coming up. Now, if it were an Ann Summers party ....!!!! I am really tempted to hold one as I think it would be hilarious.

Btw Nutty, who is your broadband provider? We are with talktalk and we have had no end of problems.

Hope everyone is feeling ok this afternoon.
xx

nuttygirl · 01/12/2006 15:11

Ooh Ann Summers party...I (sort of!) remember the last one I went to...had about a bottle and a half of wine, threw up somewhere(???)...remember someone else there hving to hide the 'rabbit' she ordered when the host brought it in to work for her!!!

hmm...think there's something wrong with the 'a' key onmy laptop.

Broadband provider is prodigy but I think the problem is with the actual phone lines...sometimes when I ring my mum the phone picks up other peoples convo's....and sometimes it sound like aliens are trying to intercept my call!!!!

nuttygirl · 01/12/2006 15:20

I've heard some bad things about talk talk broadband...my sis went on it because they hd that free broadband offer...but they charged them for it and then said they were stuck on a contract they had to pay for...but i think they managed to get out of it. We used to have talk talk for the phone but when we changed our bank account they updated our details then cancelled the new one...every month we were having to phone them to tell them they hadn't collected the money. Then earlier this year they failed to teke it 3 months in a row...DH rang them to complain about it...they said "don't worry we've set it up again and we'll just take it next month"...they didn't...but did send us a final demand letter threatening to pass it over to a debt collection agency. We left them!!!

Sexonlegs · 01/12/2006 15:26

Blimey - so, not a good omen. All talk talk and no action!!!!
pmsl at your Ann Summers recollection!! Go girl. x

CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 15:29

emmymummy - can recommend a few good places to eat if just with hubbie - for range of very yummy food try the Firehouse Rotisserie - down road/round corner next to Gap, Loch Fyne (fish) right at the top of the main shopping (Milsom Street) street or another fish one is the FishWorks - down little road opposite Gap - if veggie - go to Demuths - down near the Christmas Markets. These are all very yummy places - if you want something a bit cheaper - could go for somewhere in the Podium - upstairs/inside next to Waitrose - along end of main street opposite Gap and can get yummy lunch/coffee at the Adventure Cafe - go right to top of Milsom Street and its on the opposite side near the crossing. If you want to book any of these let me know - have the local mag here with all numbers in.

I am going next saturday with a friend to the Loch Fyne Restaurant and then the christmas markets - if I can walk! Dh says no - but am not going to miss out on Christmas!

CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 15:30

I have a rabbit....

Sexonlegs · 01/12/2006 15:35

CFK - you saucy one. I don't have a rabbit, but I do have 2 vibrators!! Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!

CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 15:43

why do you need two??!!!

nuttygirl · 01/12/2006 16:01

lmao at my dirty mind...well there are 2 holes SORRY

it was the first thing that jumped into my head...

actually i've got 2 too...and one's a rabbit...much better than the other one! If you've got 2, you're never disappointed if the batteries run out in one!!!

CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 16:38

rofl

walked past Ann Summers last week and thought would get something for dh for xmas - but realised don't do maternity nurses outfits! Also with my spd, very unlikely hamburger is going to see any action til atleast June!

liath · 01/12/2006 16:41

Good grief, how did you get on to vibrators??

Didn't have an amnio in the end! It's all getting a bit complicated. Had a very detailed scan & long chat with the consultant radiologist who thinks the main problem seems to be related to the bowel and that our risk of a chromosome abnormality is lower than we thought. I think we're not going to know for sure what is going on until the baby is born but have to go back next week and they'll get the paediatric surgeons involved.

At least DH & I have a medical background so it's made it all a bit easier to take in but it's going to mean lots of scans and a fair bit of uncertainty. If this poor baby pops out & is absolutely fine I won't know whether to kiss him or give him a smack on the bum for causing so much trouble!!!!!

Cheers again for the good wishes & hope everyone has a good weekend!

CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 16:45

There are only so many things you can talk about before the conversation regresses to vibrators!

Big hugs Liath xoxoxoxoxox

heidle · 01/12/2006 16:45

bless you liath, sounds like you are in the best hands and they are looking after you properly!

i am just sitting at work, feeling my baby kick for the first time - on the outside that is! I felt it inside, but not before with my hand! OOOh it all seems a bit more real now.

hang on, boss is giving out our christmas bonuses - best go!

have a good weekend everyone!

nuttygirl · 01/12/2006 16:46

The other week (as we walked past) my DH suggested I could get the Mrs Claus outfit for his xmas party...my response "Well I could as long as you don't mind the front of it being halfway up my bump and flashing my fanny to your workmates" A passer by gave me an appauled look!!! Oops...

Went in with my mum when she visited and she was wanting to buy DH a Santa's coming toy (you know them things u get for kids filled with sweets that look like poo - well a naughty version of one of them)...my mum's a bit odd like that!

nuttygirl · 01/12/2006 16:48

Sorry Liath x posted with you...sorry you couldn't get a more definitive answer. (((hugs))) All the best, look after yourself.

Sexonlegs · 01/12/2006 18:52

Evening all.
Liath, so complicated and up and down for you. You sound remarkably calm. Thinking of you and hope you get all the attention and as much info as you need.

Yes, 2 vibrators - 1 as back up! Can't believe we got on to that either, but it perked up a grey afternoon at work!! Hope no-one was offended/disgusted!

Just had some yummy sushi - veggie kind - deeeelicious.

Hope everyone is ok.

Catch up later. xx

Bugmum · 01/12/2006 19:07

SOL - was soooooo tempted to pretend to be offended/disgusted then, but I realized that jokes don't always translate well online

Liath - I hope you find ways of enjoying your pregnancy. And of course I hope as well that he deserves that smack on the bum!

I am going to the in-laws for the w/end. I'm sure I'll still be coughing etc, but at least will get meals cooked for me (MIL is a fab cook). Sigh. I am beyond fat now...

Have a great w/end preggers ladies.

SleepInHeavenlyPesha · 01/12/2006 19:15

I have 2 too!! Have actually been invited to an ann summers party next weekend, can't decide if ill go tho. Everyone is going to be drinking and smoking i expect and being pg and broke kind of takes the fun out of it.

Liath, sorry you couldnt get a more definite answer, not knowing is really hard isn't it but glad you seem to be getting to see all the right people about it iykwim (sorry brains not quite in gear today!).

Really feel for those of you suffering with spd must be awful. Im very achey and keep getting twinges and things but luckily thats it.

Was gonna say more but have no idea now, sorry. Bit stressed today, kids have been little sods!

SleepInHeavenlyPesha · 01/12/2006 19:26

Remembered one thing I was going to say! Liath was thinking bout what you said about bean needing smack on bum, Ds has always liked to keep us on our toes. When he was born he had clicky hips and scan showed them borderline so had to go back again before being told they were fine, then at 6 week check had a heart murmur so lots of tests for that but all was fine, then at 8 month check hv thought he had squint so hospital for check but was all fine, then last year kept having racing pulse and blue lips so lots more tests and again all fine. So im hoping bean (or fidget as dd has decided to call him!) is just trying to go one better and starting in the womb!
Hope thats what yours is doing too liath

Sexonlegs · 01/12/2006 20:09

Like the new name Pesha!
Feeling awful now - crampy tummy pains which I have a horrid feeling might be the start of a bug. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
So annoying as was looking forward to a nice chicken rogon josh and sag aloo. Can't face it now.
Anyway, going to settle down in front of the telly for the final of I'm a Celeb!!
Bye. xx

oooggs · 01/12/2006 20:41

Just been to the shop and the assistant asked if I had long to go!!!! I'm 21+1 FGS. Twins eh!

1B3 - I am hoping to breast feed them even if only for a short time. I have joined the local twins club and it is great, they can answer the questions that other mothers can't. Would defo recommend.

Keep getting loads of cramps in feet and calves.

Know when I want to return to work but not when I am leaving. Depends on my size and the health of me and the babies, if it comes to it I will go sick and the 6 weeks before due date they will force me onto maternity leave - they could be born by them anyway

Hope everyone is well. Take Care xx

EllieK · 01/12/2006 21:05
