Morning ladies. Hope all is well. I was thinking about GMM today - hope you are feeling ok pet.

Bit of a moan comin now. My mum and dad are coming for lunch today - something that has been planned for ages and something we are really looking forward to.

Anyway dh lies in bed until 9.30 and then finally after saying he is going, heads off for a run at 10.30. So, leaving me to look out for dd and prepare a roast lunch.
Men!!!! They are a waste of space!!!!!!!!
Perhaps I'll head off out when his parents are due over next.

Sorry, rant over, but I am so pissed off with him.

Need to put the beef in the oven, so will catch up with you later.

xx

CornflakeKid · 03/12/2006 12:47

I feel for you SOL! My dh once buggered off to the pub when his parents were here! Needless to say he hasn't done it since (atleast 7 years ago!)

The tree is up - well decorated by dh and boys - ds2 taken shine to one particular branch and has hung atleast 8 decorations on it! I have a tasteful branch thing with my glass baubles on and a berry wreath thing on the stairs. Off to garden centre to buy a tree decoration each and some extra tacky outdoor lights!

This is when the mulled wine would have come out...boo hoo!

muminamini · 03/12/2006 12:58

I'm ok ladies... stil not 100%, I think I underestimated how tiringbeing sick all night could be... tried to do a few things this weekend but didnt get very far as I felt poorly again.. still managing to drink so at least I'm not getting de-hydrated!!

Weather here is auwful so dont mind being in the house so much - gonna go and sort my wardobe out.. reckon there is about 2 bin liners of stuff in there that doesnt fit anymore.. I only sorted it out 2 months ago too!!

Will pop back on later if I'm not back in bed! xxx

Sexonlegs · 03/12/2006 16:47

Hi all, GMM, sorry to hear you are still under the weather - not just the wet weather - ha ha!
Isn't it great to hear from MIAM - the beauty of being able to CAT!
Had a lovely lunch with mum and dad, although dh has still not done much at all to help out. I have to ask him to do the smallest things.
I am so knackered today even though we all incl dd slept until 8.00.

Better go - washing up to do and other jobs - boo hiss.

xx

CaptainDippy · 03/12/2006 18:22

Sorry you are still feeling rough GGM! Hope it eases soon! [hugs]

Has been another manic day in DippyLand, especially after having DD1 in our bed for some of last night due to the wind making a terrible noise against all the windows ... poor love. Looking forward to getting them in bed so I can crack on with our Christmas letter!!

Gin Soooooo glad you are back MIAM - was getting v.v.v.worried!!! Hope you get computer fixed soon so you can rejoin us properly - You have been missed!!

Best go and help DH get our cheeky monkeys into bed......

Soooo of those of you who have been decorating your houses and putting up trees this w/e. Thinking that there won't be any of that this year with the house move etc .....

Sexonlegs · 03/12/2006 18:28

I take it all back. Dh washed up and I didn't ask him once. A gold star for sure.
Parents emptied out their loft last week and brought all my crap over. Much to my horror I have just been through it all and come across a porn magazine!! Oh the shame!! My parents must have had a heart attack!!
CD, we had bad wind here - of the weather variety that is, and dd came in to us. We are cruel though and send her back to her bed!
I have told her that rain happens when the fairies are washing their clothes and that the wind is when they are blowing them to get them dry!!!

nuttygirl · 03/12/2006 18:34

Just a quickie today....we're having our kitchen floor tiled so house is really dusty! Hoping to get xmas decorations up this week. Tiling should be finished tomorrow so maybe tomorrow evening or Tuesday.

Got a bargain from Boots yesterday...nursing bras in a clearance sale for £2 each. The ones I got were adjustable too so if your cup size goes up you can alter them (not too sure how yet as haven't had chance to check them out!). I know it's a bit early but I couldn't miss out at that price!

WestCountryLass · 03/12/2006 19:24

Had a really busy weekend, looked after my friends two kids yesterday and cleaned the house and got the Xmas decorations up today, my Mum comes from Spain on Wednesday hence the spring clean!

We did have a bit of a hoohar, DH brought the Xmas decs in from the garage and there was what I thought was mouse droppings in the box and they smelt of wee (not a problem as had bought new decs anyway). Anyway, I was walking through my hall and saw what I thought was a mouse out the corner of my eye. Managed to corner it and it was a huge fat rat

It had been lording it up in the garage living the life of luxury on our rabbit food. So we had to look for its nest and it had made it in our baby car seat which is ruined But on the plus side there wwere no baby rats, thank God!

hotlipsmummy · 03/12/2006 19:29

evening all. Glad to see MIAM is back and all well, phew! Sorry to hear GMM still not well. We have had a sick bug here about a month ago, luckily I missed it but DH was seriously and violently sick all night on the first night of it. Really horrid bug so sorry to hear you're suffering.

On a festive note we have managed to get our tree and lights up this weekend. Looks so lovely! Decided to get a small tree this year and put it on a table rather than a full 7ft-er. Much better as DS not nearly so tempted to crawl under it, pull baubles off etc etc. Also better for the cats too!

Work tomorrow yuck yuck yuck!

CornflakeKid · 03/12/2006 20:26

Was nosying through other threads and came across Cath Kidston site - she does nappy bags now - kind of like the cowboy one but bit too kitschy - but found this bag on her site for £25 - much nicer and zips up... don't know how to do a proper link but here's what I copied!

www.cathkidston.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=81-153-3-7&cid=CarrierBags&pcidl=Accessories%2cBagsBaskets%2cCarrierBags&vid=195430&language=en-GB

Off to bed now.....going to finish xmas shopping tomorrow - feeling brave!

CornflakeKid · 03/12/2006 20:32

Doobydoo - I am thinking about trying some alternative therapies - have physio on friday - but though may try either osteopathy or the bowen technique. Managed my relaxation class today - just didn't do some of the exercises. Staying in bed thursday and friday definitely eased it alot!

CornflakeKid · 03/12/2006 21:03

runnyhabbit · 03/12/2006 22:00

Hope you all had a good weekend & GMM you're feeling better. Sorry to hear about everyone with SPD - OUCH!!

DH was working so I decided to head off to stay with my parents so had a very nice time getting well fed and lots of hugs & TLC. My younger sister lives near them so dd got to play with her cousin while we had a good old chat. Very therapeutic - I'm so lucky to have such great family nearby. My mum's coming up wednesday to babysit while I get yet more scans!

Weeonion - how have you got on with your campaign for routine scans? Could I email you maybe??

weeonion · 04/12/2006 08:58

Liath - really glad you had a good weekend with yr family - loving TLC was just what you needed. my emai address is on the scottish thread - go ahead and email me any time.

geordiemacminx · 04/12/2006 09:37

Morning all... pleased everyone is ok!!

I'm slowly recovering - back at work which is nice!!!

Greengirlforever · 04/12/2006 10:01

GMM - I am just sitting here on very long hold to my credit card company trying to get my money back! I looked at your thread and I can't see why you can't get your money back. Good luck.

CaptainDippy · 04/12/2006 10:20

Love it

Yey!!

Gosh! Feel like it should be AT LEAST lunchtime already - feel like I have run a marathon! Got up, boiler had shut itself off so had to wait aaaages for hot water etc. Got DD's dressed and ready etc, finally got a shower and then DH went for a shower while the DD's occupied themselves in the nursery (a rare treat!!!!) Suddenly I hear DH exclaiming: "Come here QUICK!!" DD1 had done a poo on her potty and both the girls were PLAYING with it!!!!! Groooooooooss!! So, all clothes off and back in the bath for full body and hair wash, dry and re-dress - Argh!! All before 9am - Good grief!! DD2 sleeping now and DD1 out at Toddlers with Grandpa ( ) ......

@ bit fat rat WCL, poor you - hope he didn't bring his family from the garage too!

Cornflake - Kidston nappy bag - cooool, have to check out in a sec ..... I LOVE Sandies nappies, they are soooooo cute!!

Gosh, I have got one heck of a week this week - out doing stuff every night and loads to do during the day. Our church has given me a bit of Festive work to do, so I'll be hard at it every moring starting tomorrow and looking after DD's in the afternoon - Not to mention, trying to sort Christmas stuff and organise our stuff for the move .....

ARGH!!!

Best go do stuff .......
