geordiemacminx · 30/11/2006 15:12

What happened GGF?

Greengirlforever · 30/11/2006 15:26

It was a scam - there's a thread I started on the Ebay topic for the full story ! Feeling really disappointed now - but you were right GGM!

geordiemacminx · 30/11/2006 15:38

So sorry... to be fair the trainers thing wasnt a scam.. it was just my divvy brother in law.. have you managed to get your money back?

Greengirlforever · 30/11/2006 15:45

I will, in about a week straight from my credit card people, once I have jumped through some annoying hoops.

O well......

geordiemacminx · 30/11/2006 15:52

Just read your thread on the ebay section... there really are some shitty people out there!!! I think ebay is great, but cant understand why some people have to spoil it for others by taking advantage and ripping people off!!!

Pleased you will be getting sorted anyways!!!

1becomes3 · 30/11/2006 15:54

Oh what a day, DD is in bed has been a little cow, she is teething and bit my face bloody hard drew blood!
I know it's not her fault but with her teeth and my hormones most of today has been a screaming match.

LOL at norks that brought a smile to my face.

WO- yeay on the pink bean I'm glad you feel so happy, and a free scan to boot this is your lucky day.

CFK- sorry you are having a hard time, you make sure you don't lift a finger for the next day or so. LOL HUG

GGF- you want to watch those good deals on ebay especially round this time of year, make sure you check their feedback and how many items they have sold, I'm sure people will be setting up on ebay this time of year just to con pople out of thier money.

Tili · 30/11/2006 16:10

Harimad · 30/11/2006 16:49

Wow - been a week since I've logged on any boy us ladies can chat!! I've only managed to catch up on todays messages, so apologies if I've missed anything major!

Poor you CFK! That sounds nasty - you really must make the most of resting up whilst you can!

GGF - am off to read your email scam story now - congrats on the nest purchase tho'.. I'll be looking for one of those post Christmas (I've decided not to buy anything until then as I've just spent a fortune on maternity wear!).

Congrats on all the blue / pink flavour confirmations... I think we'll be leaving ours as a surprise, but that's going to be DH's decision as I can't decide!

weeonion · 30/11/2006 19:03

tili - congrats on the blue bean, happy you are happy!!

Bugmum · 30/11/2006 19:08

Just wanted to add my quick congrats to all the blue/pink bean discoveries; I think so far no one has expressed disappointment? That is very nice to hear, as from looking at some of the other recent Mumsnet threads, some people have very, very strong and deep-rooted preferences, that they have huge trouble getting round.

I am still full of cold and now a cough, with a sore chest. But last day of term tomorrow - hurrah! I only work p/t, but am ready for a rest from that and to concentrate on my writing in those hours.

Hope everyone is happy. I wish MIAM would post...

YvieE · 30/11/2006 19:22

Congrats Tili on the scan
GGF - sorry to hear about the ebay scam - am going to read and forward your story to my cousin who is an ebay newbie and wants to buy her whole nursery from there!
CFK - sorry to hear about the pain you are going through. Ensure you get that rest.
Just thought I'd say hi before I go out for a chinese "all you can eat"..ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

weeonion · 30/11/2006 20:10

hey folks- someone asked what the pink / blue tally was? according to the stats thread we are on 7 pink and 4 blue but i know that not everyone has filled in the flavour on it yet.

EllieK · 30/11/2006 21:16

been offline for a while (missed 2 whole threads ), been really low
briefly i think it's ante-natal depression but i'm not one to let things get to me so picking myself up!
had scan today, i'm having the blue kind
x

weeonion · 30/11/2006 21:28

elliek - hugs yr way babe. i have been diagnosed with AN depression too. i am not sure if it is offered in yr area but i have been referred to a special unit / clinic through my midwife. it is a really hard thing to cope with. i am thinking about you. feel alot brighter today with the scan. here if you need an online hug or shoulder etc etc

weeonion · 30/11/2006 21:29

oh ellie - congrats on the blue bean - thats us up to 7 pink and 5 blue?

Bugmum · 30/11/2006 21:32

EllieK and Weeonion - ante-natal depression, like any kind, needs proper specialist help. I hope you are both able to get what you need! Am glad to hear you've been referred, WO, and I hope that you are able to get something similar, Ellie. I wanted to say that having ante-natal depression doesn't mean you will have PND; you might well know this, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Best luck to both!

opinionsrus · 30/11/2006 21:42

Hi again haven't had chance to read all the posts since 2 days ago.

God you lot must be mega quick readers either that or have a sneaky look every 2 mins whilst at work /kiddies aren't watching.

Just for the record mine is deffo a "blue bean" as you guys put it which makes me laugh every time I read it.

Have started to get symptoms like some of you have also described which is a bit worrying to say the least. SPD - it is starting to hurt more and more "down there". Will get one of those cushions they sound beauty......

opinionsrus · 30/11/2006 22:03

How many people are still working. I only work 2 days a week and how I have managed not to get sacked ( I know seriously you cannot get sacked whilst pregnancy for sickness) I just don't know.
Over the last 5 ish months I think I have had more time off through being sick than I have actually been at work.

My employers have been FANTASTIC and never ever once even commented on it which just makes me so greatful I work there (the rest of the time I just slag it off!!). No one has ever said anything to me, apart from as a joke.

I have probably tempted fate now and will go in on monday to find that I have not been paid for the last 3 weeks or sth !!

Only 3 proper weeks left to work anyway so not that worried. Can't wait. I hate having to work and being pregnant - it stinks.

When is everyone else due to leave?? Would be interested to know. I am always a lightweight and leave at the first possible moment. Oh well hey ho!

weeonion · 30/11/2006 22:49

opinion - i am still working and will have to up to the begining of april in order to get as much time off afterwards. hospital have asked me to se if it can get off around 30 weeks to allow stress levels to go down and rest up. so - cant wait til xmas hols (3weeks off - hurray) and then back to get my maternity cover sorted and trained up!

YvieE · 30/11/2006 23:25

Opinion I'm also working f\t and still dithering over when to take my mat leave, also have to tag on some of my 5 weeks annual leave so will probably leave about Mid March. I was very lucky no m\s. 19 +5 and I would say 90% of the people i know including work colleagues are none the wiser!

YvieE · 30/11/2006 23:39

BTW GGF I read your thread about ebay (sorry to hear it was a scam)...it started of about the Stokke and ebay fraud then descended into pramholism (What the.....)debt and asylum seekers!!!!

CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 08:44

The blues are catching up with the pinks - will be funny to see if any come out the wrong colour!

At home again today - dh has been cooking loads of stuff to freeze and the house smells of cooking which is making me heave for the first time in ages. But can't complain! Have opened all windows and doors!!!

Got a mad day tomorrow - 6 of my original NCT group from 6 years ago are meeting up - thats 12 adults and 15 children at one of our houses and we are all brining food/drink etc! Taking own cutlery and chairs!

Can't believe its the 1st December - still need to get some more pressies - and some chocs/mini toys to put in christmas calnder before the boys get home.

Hope all have a nice day xoxoxoxoxox

maveta · 01/12/2006 09:36

Hi Girls
Been keeping an eye on you when I´ve had a second to pop in these last couple of days but no time to post. Congrats on all the scan results and sorry for all of you who are suffering, in whichever way and to whatever degree, during this pregnancy. Hope you all feel better soon.

Off on my exotic holiday to the UK tomorrow to see my sisters and best friends so am really very excited! Will have to dash again shortly as I am sure I had a lot of things to do today before we leave. Mind you, at this moment I´ll be buggered if I can remember what any of them are!!

I´ll be back in 10 days and no doubt completely out of the loop by then but should also return with my scan results...SOL you are also the 12th aren´t you? Good luck to all of those with scans while I´m away..x x

liath · 01/12/2006 10:02
