Thanks ladies just glad it's all okay - I really don't think the worrying stops at all.
sweetpea very exciting - good luck and here's hoping they can see what they need to Grin
missmartin was that your first day back after your sickness? Your ms completely subsided now?

Yokyil · 10/08/2015 18:24

Such good news yokyil! I agree I don't think you ever stop worrying during pregnancy - I feel like it's so much responsibility!

Has anyone else's dreams racked up recently? I'm getting such vivid ones that I'm actually almost hyperventilating whilst asleep and dh has to wake me up - so weird!!

17 weeks

moonshine25 · 10/08/2015 18:45

Oh and good luck sweetpea with your gender scan tonight - any inkling?!

hotcrossbun83 · 10/08/2015 19:07

I think vomit can be another factor for mattresses, the bacteria gets in the middle and grows. I have a similar debate as ds was never sick in his snuzpod or buggy bassinet at all so I don't really want to replace them... but I might.

Junosmum · 10/08/2015 19:07

Glad it's ok Yokyil.

I am also craving dairy - milkshake and petits filous!

Boobs have definitely gone up a cup size - I finally have boobs! Yay. Just bought a new bra.

I sooo want one of those snow suits! So cute.

TeenieDeenie · 10/08/2015 19:23

Yokyil sorry to hear of your worry this morning but glad your check up went ok. Totally agree you never stop worrying, I'd go for weekly scans if we could afford it!!

Sweet pea good luck for your scan this evening, exciting!!! Let us know blue or pink Smile

For the past week or so I am totally craving ice poles and half frozen glasses of Ribena. Don't know
If it's the cold juice or the sugar I want but both really hit the spot. Luke warm juice just will not do lol! Grin

I'm so glad there's 2nd/3rd time Mums on here! It's so good to learn stuff!!!! I have NO clue!!!

I got asked by a friend today if she could buy my Steriliser!! I was like eh sure?! Lol didn't know what to say!! So people just offer to buy u stuff?? Cool!! But so embarrassing!!
It made me have a proper panic about getting organised!! We live in my MILs house as she moved out to look after her parents - it's now long term and we're left with all her furniture. Hmm I would bin it all but I'm trying to be diplomatic. Anyway - I started looking on the IKEA website & saw some lovely furniture for baby's room and our living room. And it's not too expensive - anyone else got baby furniture from there? I saw a lovely changing mat which has proper closing cupboards instead of open. Getting excited!!

I've not looked or bought anything yet - I think once I feel baba move I'll feel better - feel terrible complaining that I have NO symptoms!! Except a large bump! Blush

Anyone have any tips on here for introducing a dog to a baby?? Our dog is nearly 7 and is our baby. She sleeps in our room and has all the attention. Ideally I want her to not be allowed upstairs at all when the baby comes - any tips on how to teach an old dog new tricks?!!

:) Wynsey what a lovely friend!! Just FYI different sterilisers suit different bottles so if you are intending to use specific ones friend might need to know? Or more diplomatically you could wait to see what steriliser she gets and then buy matching bottles? There is a lot of crossover, its not that you can only use x steriliser for x bottles it's just the shapes etc - we had TommeeTippee bottles (don't particularly recommend them but that's a different story) and they were so wide that when we borrowed steralisers to use on holiday etc - advent and dr brown they didn't fit well. We managed but it was majorly awkward.

Oysterbabe · 10/08/2015 20:22

Yes re weird dreams, really vivid and every night.

DH is itching to start decorating the nursery and I want to start buying clothes but we're waiting until the 20 week scan. It's not that we're superstitious or think it's jinxing us or anything, we just want the anomaly scan done so we know it's OK so far. There's no real hurry.

In terms of nursery themes, we're team yellow so it'll be gender neutral (it probably would be anyway, I don't go in for all that pink princess stuff) We have some really cute little mini hot air balloons that we made for our wedding favours that we're going to hang from the ceiling. We've found some really cool hot air balloon stickers for the walls too. We live in Bristol and hot air balloons are a bit of a thing here Smile

Blackandwhitecat3 · 10/08/2015 21:06

Teenie I can't get enough ice cubes into my squash. (And normally I hate ice in drinks). Squash has to be waitrose black currant too - nothing else will do!

Glad to hear it's not just me on the dairy, it's such a strong impulse!

TeenieDeenie · 10/08/2015 21:26

Mrschatty and B&W Cat, I also highly recommend the 100% juice ice lollies by Del Monte. Like frozen fresh orange, delicious and hits the spot! Smile

Sweetpea80 · 10/08/2015 21:31

We are just back from our gender scan and we are Team Pink GrinGrin
So still only 1 boy but will now have 4 girls Shock

So excited this is the first time I've ever found out before the birth and I'm surprised it's made me feel an instant bond with baby.

I'm also craving ice cream and cold Ribena. I'm normally a savoury person but sugary food is more appealing at the moment.

mrschatty · 10/08/2015 21:36

sweetpea, congratulations! Wow there has been a real burst of pink on here recently

Thanks teenie I will try that

Brooke113 · 10/08/2015 21:40

Congratulations sweetpea I'm sorry I didn't understand your message though, think it's baby brain. Is this your fourth dc and fourth daughter? I didn't understand the boy bit Blush

Romeolovesjuliet · 10/08/2015 21:54

Congrats to everyone who has found out the sex over the past few days.
oyster that nursery theme sounds right up my street (I'm also not a fan of either very girlie or very 'boy' personally). I went to uni in Bristol Smile
I would love to join in on the nursery chat but as we haven't actually got round to decorating DS's room (and he's 2 in oct) I doubt we will do anything much for this baby Blush. In our defence we had our loft conversion done in my final months of pregnancy with him so didn't get to do much else. I have some lovely jojo wall stickers to go up when we finally do though! We are currently mulling over what to do about bedrooms as our current spare that would be the baby's room is also the biggest so makes sense really to move one of the older ones into it instead.

Sweetpea80 · 10/08/2015 22:15

Thanks ladies

Brooke it's DC5 on the way. Only 1DS but will have 4DD Confused

We are very much team pink in January

Brooke113 · 10/08/2015 22:17

Wow sweetpea I'm envious Envy this is definitely our last dc and number 3, would love more, but my body doesn't seem to do pregnancy well :(

MissSMartin · 10/08/2015 22:25

sweetpea Aww Congrats on another girl you lucky lady Smile x

MissSMartin · 10/08/2015 22:29

Oh and in terms of cravings.. I can't help but lick..Blush .. oxo cubes! the reduced salt ones. . pickled onion monster munch & I'm totally with you on the del monte 100% orange juice lollies Teenie delicious Grin .. I have to use ice pops instead of icecubes sometimes when I run out.. dp isn't logical about it though and will bring me a blackcurrent juice with a COLA icepop floating in it Shock Angry lol

ValancyJane · 10/08/2015 22:49

yokyil That's great news, glad to hear it was just a scare Smile

sweetpea Congratulations on another team pink!

Speaking of strange cravings, today I really, reeeeeally out of the blue fancied kiwi fruit, and actually drove to get some and ate three in quick succession. I also seriously considered bringing the last one up to bed for a snack (OH is out and the cat doesn't judge!). Normally I don't like fruit much, give me veg any day, but baby is clearly a kiwi fan!!

fishermanswife1 · 10/08/2015 22:56

Glad all is well yokil.

sleepyt that is too cute! May need to take a look in boots!

Congrats sweetpea! Lovely to hear it's given an instant bond. I guess maybe it feels almost like you "know" them better, knowing the sex. We can't wait to find out next week at anomaly scan. But will only be sharing with you guys on here!
