Evening ladies. Feeling very sad tonight as my best friend has lost her baby, almost a year to the day that I went through the same. I'm heartbroken for her and so so scared that I won't get to hold my baby girl in my arms. I'm just so anxious Sad I can't believe it will all be ok.

sorry for the 'me' post

SleepyDragon · 18/08/2015 19:58

Oh Melon I'm so sorry for your friend and of course it's gut wrenching for you evoking so many memories. I'm sure everything will be fine for you.

Night that sounds like a nightmare I would need scratch mitts as I'd be picking and scratching like mad!

Quick BP update, dropped again and now reading 114/83... Nurse very happy!

Haitch35 · 18/08/2015 20:12

Sending hugs and positive thoughts melon Flowers

Night that does sound horrendous, hopefully the steroid will help.

Great news sleepy Grin

brickiemum2 · 18/08/2015 20:26

I got mine checked today again sleepy and it was 128/82...fairly good for me Smile

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 20:36

So sorry melon, that's really sad. Thinking of you and your friend Flowers

bee I'm the opposite right now. Normally a greedy bugger but keep having to remind myself to eat Shock

night that doesn't sound very pleasant, poor you! Hope you can get some relief and that it doesn't last for the entire pregnancy!

Bit of a me post here as well but I've been feeling really down lately and the last few days in particular have been really hard. I feel ashamed saying it given I have nothing currently going on like you do, melon, or anything like the health or work problems some of you other ladies are going through but I just feel so flat and down. I've been crying for most of the last two days and today couldn't even muster the energy to smile at people at work. Got my 16 week appt tomorrow so guess I should mention it to my mw? I feel so little about being pregnant - not happy, not sad, just a bit meh. Are any of you feeling this or generally struggling? My CBT will help I'm sure but I've only had a couple of sessions so far so it's too early to tell.

MissSMartin · 18/08/2015 21:01

melon that's so sad Sad thinking of your and your poor friendThanksThanks x

MissSMartin · 18/08/2015 21:10

aww sleepy how lovely!! Grin isn't it weird how people want to pass on baby stuff.. I've had so many offers of clothes and things.. people can be so giving! Smile

dp got in the car before after work with a shopping bag and he had been and bought me a b-pump Grin he's in my good books because I didn't even ask him for it

I've had a migrane since 11am and have been in bed for the last 2 hours and I've ran out of forehead strips (cries) I've battled through work sat on the phones today but if it's still here in the morning then I'm not going in

anyone have really itchy boobies especially nipples.. I feel like I could rip mine off Angry ???

moonshine25 · 18/08/2015 21:13

Oh melon Hmm thinking of you and your friend!

Lily I really hope you're ok and have some in real life to give you a big cuddle! Are you worried about anything which is making you feel that way?

Nightfall, that rash sounds awful!! You poor thing, really hope the cream from the docs soothes it for you!!

moonshine25 · 18/08/2015 21:14

Sorry missmartin, cross post! Have you tried lying in a dark room with cold flannel on your head? Hope it eases soon!

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 21:16

Oh no MissMartin, you're really suffering with migraines aren't you? Have you been given any medication to help? There are some things that are safe to take as far as I know?

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 21:18

Thanks moonshine, I think it's work-related as my job's a bit of a nightmare (I've been feeling down since I started it a year ago) but just finding it hard to snap out of it at the mo! DH is at work late but I'm sure will give me a cuddle in the morning before I go to my appt Smile

moonshine25 · 18/08/2015 21:30

It's so difficult anyway going to a stressful job every day without pregnancy hormones to deal with too. Look after yourself and be kind to yourself!

SleepyDragon · 18/08/2015 22:11

Misss as well as the forehead strips get a 4Head stick to rub on. Alternatively, and this sounds ridiculous I know, but sit with your feet ;and hands of you can manage) in hot water with a cold compress (flannel or bag of peas) on back of your neck. It's a neuropathic treatment, you feel a bit of a fruit loop but it does help!

Brickie Yay!! Looks like things are on the up... Or should I say down... For both of us BP wise!

On a TMI note I think I've got my first visit from Emma Roid today... Bloody uncomfortable!!!

Chip86 · 18/08/2015 23:25

night that sounds awful poor you hope the cream helps.
melon great big hugs Flowers
lily I have felt this way a lot, but keep talking to everyone about it, I talked to midwife at 16 weeks and she said after that it should get better, it has a bit but I still get bad days, hope you start to feel better soon Flowers
sleepy can I please have some of your blood pressure? When I stand mine is so low it's off the chats, I have to drink 2 liters of water a day and add lots more salt to my diet, get up with help otherwise I see spots and everything goes black. All good fun

Can't remember who asked about syaticur (can't spell it) but mine is really bad it's causing pins and needles down legs and arms, and I can't get up or sleep, I am hopfully going to be referred for physio in two weeks yay can't wait. So keep asking till you get help Smile

SleepyDragon · 19/08/2015 00:10

Uuuugh can't sleep, nose all stuffy and DH snoring like a sodding freight train....

Chip you sure can, anything to help lower mind if it gets yours up lol!

coffeenut · 19/08/2015 00:44

So many of you feeling miserable Sad ... Flowers and Cake for everyone I think today. It's a beautiful morning here, sunny and blue skied and ALMOST the end of winter.

That pregnancy rash is an absolute bastard from what I've heard night, so sorry you're having to deal with it Sad

melon that's awful re your friend. It must bring up awful memories for you too. I'm sure your pregnancy will be fine this time - sending positive vibes your way.

Beautiful bump sleepy!

Sorry about the migraine miss. You're having a rough time poor thing with nausea, sciatica and migraines!

lily I have really down days for no reason, stupid hormones. I just literally feel like crying over nothing! I find it helps to have a good cry, tell my husb that I feel shit (so he can cheer me up) and then treat myself to something nice (like a naughty latte!). Just be kind to yourself. Sleep also does wonders if you can manage it. This has happened to me with each pregnancy and the good news is that almost as soon as I've given birth, the weight/unhappiness just seems to lift off.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 19/08/2015 06:45

Melon sending you big very unmumnetty hugs, v sad Flowers

Sorry to hear so many people feeling rough/down at the moment, hope you are all on the mend soon.

I feel amazing! I went running last night, it felt awesome. Am really enjoying food again too, which is nice. Wearing some of my new Jojo clothes this morning, they really flatter my wee bump.

Nice bump pics brickie and sleepy you ladies look lovely.

Dotter I bought a single duvet and have folded it over. It's fab. Warm too though!

Can't quite believe I'm up so bright and early, going into work to process exam results, woke up early so might as well go in early! Mustn't forget to make my sarnies first though.

Have a fab day all, if you can Smile

tinyme135 · 19/08/2015 06:58

Sorry to hear how bad some of your days was yesterday. I think my OH realised he over stepped the mark the other night and he brought me the biggest bouquet of flowers I have ever seen.

It's my 20 week scan today and our anniversary so after scan we're going for breakfast together and spend the day doing jack all as we both had a rough time at work this week.

19+3 today :)

mrschatty · 19/08/2015 07:36

Aw so sorry to read that some of you are feeling down and stressed SadFlowers
I hope today is a better day....
I'm only in the office for 3 hours because I'm in on sat Hmm what is the point???

kep1979 · 19/08/2015 07:56

Cake and Flowers to those who need them, hoping the rest of the week is better. And good luck for the scan today tiny and anyone else who has it today.

Looking forward to scan on Friday, am excited to see little lady again, a bit nervous though; she is kicking up a storm though so hopefully that is a good sign. And have managed to find the hb with that app the last couple of days too and sounds like a freight train!

Back to work today after having time off with my boys - was proper domestic goddess yesterday with baking, cleaning, cooking - am definitely nesting as had massive burst of energy. Unfortunately my low blood pressure (and forgetting to eat breakfast) meant i nearly passed out in Sainsburys, but after a little rest with my feet up i was back bustling about. I really need to get the nursery sorted so i can decorate but architect not coming until end of next week so no idea if loft conversion will be feasible before christmas. And builder not got back to me (today's task!)

And only 8 working days until i go to the beautiful cote d'azur for a week - cannot wait to get some sun on my bones and scary white legs

MissSMartin · 19/08/2015 07:59

tiny good luck for your scan today.. and happy anniversary Grin

sleepy thanks! my sister has recommend that aswell but I need something for my neck( I have no frozen peas lol)

well the migrane is still here and has kept me up most of the night.. so work will just have to miss me today.. not that they will!

black&white wish I felt the way you do I'm jealous haha.. I am however back on my food but my favourites don't a peal to me anymore.. even my beloved Dr pepper Sad

kep1979 · 19/08/2015 08:06

Just checking that everyone has reset their passwords today as MN was hacked last night and a list of usernames and passwords published to Twitter. I haven't seen the list so can't check to see if I'm on it, but know that I tried to log in last night numerous times and so could have been phished.

MissSMartin · 19/08/2015 08:21

Oh mee too! and my passwords the same for loads!!!!!! arghhhhh thanks for telling us kep I'm gna go change everything now!

going doctors at 11.40 to see what could be causing these headaches!?

JadeMarie123 · 19/08/2015 08:25

Morning :) hope everyone feels better.. I'm going to add to the list feeling rubbish for the second day.. Wondering how I'm going to keep my 3 year old occupied all day with this headache.. I've been suffering with headaches and migraines since like 5 weeks pregnant.. I use kool n soothe strips .. Forehead.. And doctor gave me codeine for when it's really bad as paracetamol don't touch it.. Still got 9 days till my scan.. Seems to be dragging.. But baby has been very active last few days which is nice..dp getting on my nerves lately too..never home.. He always turns into a complete different person when he has a fight coming up :( xx

Oysterbabe · 19/08/2015 08:35

Morning everyone!
16 week appointment yesterday which was a complete non-event and didn't get to hear the heartbeat Hmm
The midwife was talking about how once I start regularly feeling the baby move (I'm not sure i have at all yet) it's important to pay attention and make sure I feel it every day. I've found an app called Kick Me that looks pretty good, just tap a button to record the kick. Knowing me I'll forget by the end of the day whether I have or not.
