I've joined the fuzzy belly club.

brickiemum2 · 18/08/2015 10:22

I've definitely got a bit of the "B" about my belly at the minute. I think I just look really fat rather than having a bump. I'm carrying all over like I did with my son.

Love that your dog just had to get in your pic brickie Grin

brickiemum2 · 18/08/2015 10:37

Lol, the two of them follow me around but that one ^^ (the pup) seems to want to be close to me constantly.

jmac88 · 18/08/2015 10:38

brickie

Lovely dog! He/she just wants to be close to you. Very cute!

Sorry, also great bump too. Defo look preggo!

jmac88 · 18/08/2015 10:41

I've got a kidney ultrasound scan tomorrow as apparently having a septate uterus can also mean you have 1 kidney....bizarre!

Does anyone know if they might be able to show the babe too or do you think it will be a completely different scan?

ValancyJane · 18/08/2015 10:43

brickie Great bump, definitely looks more pregnant than anything else to me!

I just weighed myself for the first time since getting pregnant and realised I've put on 11lbs since booking in (realistically I think it's more like 9, the week before booking in I was really off my food!). Obviously am not going to stress over it and will keep eating healthy meals, but think I might start going swimming or doing a pregnancy workout DVD like I'd planned! Really don't think my fizzy sweets cravings in the first trimester helped, and to be fair I have generally been quite bad eating a lot of chocolate recently, time to cut that out I think!

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 12:15

Agree brickie, looking distinctly bump-shaped to me (and such a cute pup!).

jmac how bizarre! Fingers crossed for your kidney(s)! I have zero experience in that field but imagine if it's a medical thing they may just focus on the kidney area but I guess it'll depend on who you get and how pressed they are for time. Hope you get to see baby too Smile

sleepy how rubbish that you're feeling poorly. I hope you feel better soon and good luck at your bp test.

valancy I'm worrying about weight too but for the opposite reason - started putting on pounds slowly last week and now they've dropped off again, plus my 'bump' has now disappeared. I'm feeling distinctly not-pregnant right now and am starting to worry even though I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. I hope doing some gentle exercise puts your mind at rest and don't worry about the extra pounds, I'm sure your body needs them Smile

mrschatty · 18/08/2015 12:52

brickie lovely bump. My old boss at work said 'so when are you going to get a bump then....' I was like I KNOW!!! it seems to be going flatter! 18+2 and will hear hb tonight when mum brings home doppler!!!

ValancyJane · 18/08/2015 12:52

lily My bump goes through stages of looking bigger and smaller too, so I'm sure there's nothing wrong with yours (though I know that not pregnant feeling, I'm really looking forward to feeling some movements!). I took a photo earlier as I thought it was looking quite bumpy today (at 17+4), then looked back at a photo I took at 15+6 and it looked more pronounced then! I think quite a bit is still bloating.

I'm not really worrying about the extra pounds, just am quite conscious that my BMI was 31 at booking, and while I know putting on weight is normal in pregnancy, I really don't want to balloon if I can avoid it by being a bit more sensible. (I blame OH who keeps bringing chocolate into the house, the git!)

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 13:01

Thanks valancy - glad to know I'm not the only one with a disappearing bump, and I'm 17+4 too Smile

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 13:01

And haha mrschatty I'm getting similar comments!

tinyme135 · 18/08/2015 13:44

I'm the opposite. now that more and more people are knowing my response from them has been "how have you hid that bump" or "how did I not notice" it's getting frustrating.

tinyme135 · 18/08/2015 13:51

Oh and the MIL told her husband yesterday that he's going to be a grandad. His response was "what has my daughter been up to now then"

I had to burst out laughing that he thought his would even go down there. the MIL had to tell him "no it's your son and his fiance" I don't think it's sunk in yet haha

SleepyDragon · 18/08/2015 14:27

Thanks Lily my nose is getting sorer by the minute lol!

i;ve attached a bump pic, you can see a faint B but my leggings kind of hide the fact a bit so i oulled my dress to show it properly

i know i look huge compared to some of you but please bear in mind i was a size 20 before i got pregnant anyway.... and please excuse the works loos!!!!

tinyme135 · 18/08/2015 14:36

sleepy love the dress and bump :)

SleepyDragon · 18/08/2015 14:47

Tiny a Dorothy Perkins special.... they do it in black too! Grin

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 15:12

Don't be silly sleepy, you look gorgeous! Also loving the bump and the dress Smile

tinyme135 · 18/08/2015 15:43

I think I'm going shopping tonight haha, isn't OBEM on tonight? I haven't been watching it so gonna catch up with them all once I finished work and try and get the OH to watch it too haha. Can't see that happening

SleepyDragon · 18/08/2015 16:13

Ahhhh thank you lily the dress gets a lot of compliments for the colour, it's a bit brighter than in the pic, a lovely cobalt blue but I am seriously thinking of buying the black too... I mean you can't go wrong with a LBD can you

Or in this case a BBD LOL!!! Grin

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 16:17

tiny it's on tomorrow! But good chance to catch up tonight if you want to get up to date... I still haven't managed to get my DH to watch it, the few times I've asked (not just while I've been pg) he's wandered off and gone to bed halfway through. I think as much as it's interesting to see some people's birth experiences, at the end of the day it's a reality TV drama/show and if you're not into that sort of thing, you're not going to get or enjoy it!

sleepy I'm all about blue dresses at the moment, seems to be my new thing Smile

SleepyDragon · 18/08/2015 16:48

You have to get one then lily they're only £20 and are super comfy!!

SleepyDragon · 18/08/2015 17:15

Awwww I'm soppied out.. A girl I haven't seen for nearly a year just messaged me offering me her tommee tippee bottles, Moses basket, baby bouncer and breast pump!!!

People can be so lovely!!

BeeMyBaby · 18/08/2015 17:42

Self absorbant chat coming up, feel free to tune out: been up since 3.30 as DH wanted my help pushing luggage at the airport as he is going to visit his family/ help with family business for a month and took 6 suitcases... So started work a couple of hours early at 6am and left an hour early. My diet today has included half a tube of Pringles (DD needs the tube for school art), lots of chocolate biscuits, a brownie, two large bowls of Cheerios, the biggest baked potato ever seen with cheese and salad, a 200g bar of fruit and nut chocolate and other things I have wiped from my memory as I'm currently living in denial. I am trying to promise myself that tomorrow everything is going to change and I will return to my previous diet of salad, fruit etc- anyone else really struggling to eat healthily? Plus my portion sizes have trebled Shock

I'm really suffering with "pregnancy itch/rash" which has gotten so bad that it's spread all over both my arms and both my legs, is spreading up my hips and under my bump :( It's so itchy that I'm struggling to sleep. I saw my GP today who diagnosed me with PUPPP which is basically like an allergic reaction to pregnancy hormones - she said it might not clear up till baby is born! She did prescribe me some soothing moisturiser and also a low-dosage steroid (hydrocortisone) but said it's not safe to take anti-histamines in the 2nd trimester. Feeling sorry for myself...
