Corn popping sounds like a good description of how stronger kicks feel Smile

DotterP · 17/08/2015 23:08

Thanks for the welcome everyone, and the body pillow tips!

MissS I think we are scan buddies, mine is also 8th Sep, seems like ages away! Lovely to hear some good news from those with scans today.
Wynsey Yep, with you on the increased interest in bedroom activities Blush One of the side effects DH is appreciating!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 17/08/2015 23:30

godgiveme we are EDD and scan date buddies! Welcome. We are 19 weeks, brickie is right Smile

brickiemum2 · 18/08/2015 07:01

I've got my blood pressure check today. Send very low thoughts to me everyone will you please Grin

Oysterbabe · 18/08/2015 07:12

Goods luck Brickie !
I have my 16 week appointment today. I'm desperate to hear the heart beat as I've felt no movement, fingers crossed!!

My libido is definitely still low, much lower than DH. I reckon we're DTD about 2-3 times a week but he's trying it on ALL THE TIME. He finds my pregnancy body quite sexy. I find it disgusting.

Oysterbabe · 18/08/2015 07:13

Oh and on the alcohol debate I'm very firmly in the none camp and will happily explain to anyone who suggests Guinness how wrong they are.

coffeenut · 18/08/2015 07:38

anyone else get to 4pm and absolutely hit the wall? I don't even have the energy to make the bed!

lily interesting re the hpv. Seems pretty common to develop during pregnancy for the first time, even if you haven't been aware of it previously. I found an odd lump which I googled and thought might be hpv but neither my Gp nor ob think it is - ob thinks it's just a pregnancy "thing" Confused

Glad I'm not the only one with a huge bump kep and others!

fingers crossed brickie

great news on scans yokyil, lara and anyone I've missed!

coffeenut · 18/08/2015 07:41

also ... I havent heard anything for 1.5 weeks on the results from the slapped cheek bloods - that must be a good thing right? I'm wondering whether to call and check or not bother.

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 07:53

Good luck brickie, and hope your appt goes well oyster (if 'low' libido is 2-3 times a week mine's clearly just upped and gone Grin ).

lilyb84 · 18/08/2015 07:54

coffee sure they would have called if there was anything to tell you but worth a call just to put your mind at rest?

tinyme135 · 18/08/2015 07:54

Morning ladies and his to all the newbies.

Little rant first, I could have slapped my OH last night. I went to sleep about half 8ish as I wasn't with it then woke up an hour later as needed a drink...fast forward to 11 when OH came into bed as he woke me up and BANG I couldn't sleep for the life of me. His watch alarm went off at half 12 and I told him I couldn't sleep to which he turned round and said "just get to sleep I'm sick and tired of you being constantly tired and doing naff all to even get tired. You're not sleeping just for you now you're sleeping for two". I just rolled over and ignored him. How dare he say that.

Plus side, scan tomorrow :D can't wait and ours is the first one too. Today is going to drag so much. Oh and I'm getting more popping feeling around my tummy. This little one likes to move.

tinyme135 · 18/08/2015 07:55

His not his xD

jmac88 · 18/08/2015 08:03

JadeMarie123 · 18/08/2015 08:35

I also hit a wall about pm and clock watch until bed time xx

tinyme135 · 18/08/2015 08:47

I gotta be nice to him till we go to the scan then I'll make him regret saying it. If I post my 12 weeks scan on anyone want to guess ready for the results tomorrow? Would like to see who's right :)

MissSMartin · 18/08/2015 08:59

tinyme135 · 18/08/2015 09:10

Morning ladies!

tiny Your DH should be considering himself lucky to be alive this morning IMO! My OH has been great about the tiredness, keeps telling me to go and take naps and doing nice things like cooking and cleaning whilst I am napping. Telling you he's sick and tired of you being tired is NOT enormously supportive. This might sound stupid, but have you got him to read a pregnancy book yet? My OH is reading one written for blokes and quite enjoying it, and it's been really useful as when I moan about things he will nod sagely and say "Yes the book said you might feel like that, it's normal" etc. He was blooming lovely anyway, but it's made him really understanding towards some of the things I say/feel/cry hysterically about!

Also I say girl based on the nice round skull, but will be interested to see if you're right - I've felt mine's a girl all the way through, but got a lot of boy votes on here from my 12 week scan! Hope the scan goes well Smile

Miss If you talk to HR they have to make reasonable allowances, if you haven't already had your risk assessment get them to put it on there that you need to park closer to the building. The risk assessment is to make your life easier (I got it in writing that I needed a new desk chair and got it within a week!)

coffee Yes to hitting the wall at 4pm, I've reverted to my afternoon nap around then!! Have just written out a loooong list of jobs to do today, we'll see how far I get.

tinyme135 · 18/08/2015 09:36

To be fair he has had a hard time at work, doing 13 hours a day and he hardly moans about being tired. Tomorrow will be his first day off in 13 days. I think he did feel bad this morning as he told me to go back to sleep and kept kissing my forehead.

Boys are common in our family and on OH side too, so if it is a girl i will be honestly shock. MIL has said she'll take me shopping as soon as we know haha.

miss that's horrible that they wont give you a medical permit. If you cant walk, and walking that far will make you worse. Cant they see that as a health hazard to you?

Blackandwhitecat3 · 18/08/2015 09:37

Had my first night last night sleeping on top of my new extra duvet - bliss, slept like an absolute baby....until my bladder woke me up Confused. No hip pain! Hurrah for extra padding!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 18/08/2015 09:47

Yes MissM you need to see HR and tell them just how bad that sciatica (pg-related) pain is and how much you need that permit!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 18/08/2015 09:56

Miss when DH broke his foot the other month he got a doctor's note so he could park close to the building for however long he needed to. Silly bugger kept on driving but all was ok in the end!

SleepyDragon · 18/08/2015 09:58

Morning all, seems an eventful monring on here!

Tiny i echo the others, i would have slapped DH or kicked him out of bed for coming back with a resposne like that! Although judging how he reacted this morning he could have just been grumpy from being tired himself but still, he needs to check himself and his comments before letting them out if his mouth!

MissS i don;t think i have sciatica but my hips are definielty playing up, they still go pins and needley at night and by the time i finish work at 4pm (i start at 7.30am) they've generally gone dead and i waddle very slowly back to the car which is around a 10min walk/waddle away.

Got very snuffly watching tv last night, then kept sneezing this morning, by the time i've got into work i feel crap, tummy ache, stuffed up nose, achy cheeks (feel like i'm teething!) and i've still got another 2 interviews to do before i can go home at 3pm for my weekly blood pressure test!

DotterP · 18/08/2015 09:58

MissS my scan is not until 4pm so I will have to wait all day which will be excruciating! Would much prefer an early morning appointment.

B&W glad the extra duvet has helped your hips - I'll have to try it. Did you get a single, or a double and fold it over?
