kep I just downloaded that app. Nothing. But I'm just too early ill try again in a few weeks!

tinyme135 · 16/08/2015 20:54

Was wondering if anyone can help me reassure my OH and family that I'm fine to fly to Cyprus in 3 weeks time. They keep saying I got to be careful and they're all worried! I said all I need is a not from the doctor, flight socks and a blanket so I don't get cold up there.

Sweetpea80 · 16/08/2015 21:07

Tiny you know your own body and if you've been keeping well you will defiantly be ok to fly.
Like you said a note from your doctor and I think you are meant to take your notes with you just in case there are any issues.
Enjoy your time away Smile

tinyme135 · 16/08/2015 21:11

That's what I thought but I'm going with a worrier and he wants to make sure I'm fine (rolls eyes) the air staff might get annoyed with me keep needing a wee haha

hotcrossbun83 · 16/08/2015 21:29

For most (possibly all) airlines you don't even need a letter yet, BA it's from 32 weeks onwards. I flew plenty last pregnancy for work and also to the Maldives and was fine. This time going to Spain in a few weeks and Antigua at 32 weeks - 9 hr flight with a toddler that doesn't have his own seat, now that is a bit crazy (but my mum just moved there and I want ds to visit before we have to pay for his flight)

Romeolovesjuliet · 16/08/2015 21:29

tiny flying is fine. I don't think you have to have a note until later on but maybe someone else knows for sure. I have flown at 8-9 weeks and 17-19 weeks and it was fine.
I rate the bravado seamless bras, but also t hinking about getting some hotmilk ones as they are prettier.
Yes yes to the crazy dreams. Often not pleasant either.
Thanks for the car info coffee. I think DH has his heart set on a discovery - about as big a gas guzzler as you can get Confused. We currently have a maxi cosi tobi and a britax evolva (then a maxi cosi cabriofix for the baby) both of which are quite wide. I guess we may have to look at changing car seats if we can't get that combination to work.

Hope everyone who has been struggling is feeling better today. Looking forward to more scan news this week.

Oh and the buggy purchases kep and ready sound very exciting!

BlueEspoir · 16/08/2015 21:48

Hi all! Have been awol for various reasons but it is excellent to be back and to catch up on all your news (it has taken me hours and hours to get through the last 1.5 threads I had missed!). Not much news at my end - am 18+4 today and still firmly team yellow (though I've really enjoyed reading your team pink/blue posts - congrats to you all!). Thought I felt a flutter last weekend but have felt nothing since so am starting to wonder if I dreamt it, especially given what a wriggler he/she was at 12 weeks! Have been pretty busy recently looking online for 2nd hand baby stuff locally and am doing pretty well with ticking things off my list! Smile

Blackandwhitecat3 · 16/08/2015 22:01

Mrschatty my brain is total mush too!

We're trying to buy anew car for me, have found one, but somehow my brain just can't bring itself to hit the buy button. What's wrong with me? Help!

lilyb84 · 16/08/2015 22:32

kep and mrschatty I downloaded an app after reading your comments. Nothing yet (although wouldn't expect to hear anything at 17+2) but got a great recording of one of my cats' heartbeats Grin

Does anyone else feel very... not pregnant? I had a couple of days last week when it seemed I was getting a bit of a bump, and felt very excited, but over the weekend it's disappeared again and I'm wondering if it was just food after all as I've had much less to eat yesterday and today. If anything I look thinner! Sure everything's fine and am crossing fingers for a doppler at my mw appt on Weds (don't know if they try to find a hb in my area at this stage) but it's a bit of a rollercoaster of happy/meh at the mo...

coffeenut · 17/08/2015 02:08

wow romeo a discovery! I don't think I could drive something that big!! Grin Will definitely fit the kids in though Wink I'm with you on the bravado seamless bras too. I honestly wouldnt buy nursing bras until 35 weeks though.

tiny i think personally 20-25 weeks is the best time to fly and get out and about.

brooke I hope you're feeling better. Do you mean you had a uti or something worse??

Whoever mentioned that thread about regretting having kids, that is so sad. I just cannot imagine life without mine now. It would feel pretty empty.

I was 20 weeks on Sunday, my bump is quite pronounced - ppl aren't even asking me if I'm pregnant anymore they are assuming! 4 days until my scan!! lily I there's a lot of growth that happens btn 18-20 weeks, I think you'll find you definitely pop in this time! Anyone on their second or third have quite a bump already???? Blush

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 17/08/2015 06:11

Bump size-wise, I've woken up with a little bit of something there this morning. Up till now I've been pretty flat in the mornings when all the bloating disappears. I wouldn't consider myself to have 'popped' yet though! Will be 19 weeks on tuesday!

Welcome back Blue! Well done on being organised. I've not got much yet except for moses basket + stand, and a bouncer and loads of clothes from my sister. Browsing for cots/nursery furniture was how I spent a lot of yesterday!

I think I need to invest in some Hot Milk or Bravado bras. Underwiring is starting to become uncomfortable and those 'seamless' bra things aren't really giving me enough support. Anyone know which is better for someone who'll be buying 32/34 FF/G?

hotcrossbun83 · 17/08/2015 06:33

coffee yes me, no2 and a clear bump. Not visible in loose clothes yet but definitely in something fitted

frozenfairy123 · 17/08/2015 07:06

coffee I feel huge with #2! I've got good abs too so it's not that. It's v obvious now I'm pregnabt and would say the growth has been the last 2 weeks.
19+5

mrschatty · 17/08/2015 07:46

tiny flying is fine! I'm going to south Africa in 5 weeks time. 10hr flight! And for 5 days! Crazy but trip of a lifetime! Do wear the socks though just to endure good circulation

tinyme135 · 17/08/2015 07:48

I can't seem to find bras to fit me. I'm 32 G and the biggest I have saw them is a 32 F it's frustrating haha. When I was younger I wanted the big books now that I've got them I hate them lol.

tinyme135 · 17/08/2015 07:52

That sounds so nice mrschatty

We wasnt meant to be going on this holiday but because of his grandad on his last legs, his mum didn't want to be away from him so she just gave us the holiday and paid an extra £100 to change it into our names. I feel so bad I haven't got to pay for any of it. A week in cyprus 4* half board with sea view and she wants nothing in return.

dinosaurdaughter · 17/08/2015 08:03

tiny I flew to South Africa at 13 weeks last time and had such bad morning sickness I put one of the toilets out of order. It was very embarrassing but the staff were dab and said they have seen everything so nothing fazes them. Travelling when you are will be fine.
mrs chatty I hope you have a fantastic time it is a great place to visit.
I have definitely popped my bump is really round and sticking out now.

dinosaurdaughter · 17/08/2015 08:05

*fab not dab

AlohaMama · 17/08/2015 08:31

Thanks for the suggestions ladies - off to do some online bra shopping. I know it's a bit early to buy nursing bras but seeing as I need new ones now I may as well get nursing style and hope that at some point post-baby they will fit. With my DS my boobs got huge, but with DD they never got as big and did not seem to fluctuate so much, so hopefully whatever I buy might fit.

Am totally shattered today - since 11pm last night, sleep was mostly in snatches of 10 minutes in between both children throwing up Sad. Managed 50 minute stretch at 5.30-6.20 then everyone ws up for the day. Think it's a TV day today....

tinyme135 · 17/08/2015 08:38

That's a horrible night. Lie on the sofa and watch the rubbish what's on TV. Two more days then I'll get to see the little one again, getting so excited :)

Brooke113 · 17/08/2015 08:42

coffee the doctor said without doing swabs he couldn't tell me for definite what infection it was, but said the amoxacillin should sort it, the urine test was positive for an infection so he said it could be that or something else. But to come back in 2 weeks if the pains are still there. Was v,embarrassing though as he asked me like 4 times if I was sure I didn't have an sti Blush me and dp have been together 11 years.

melonface · 17/08/2015 08:51

Morning all. Had a lovely weekend but down to earth with a bang this morning as things are not good at work. I'm being criticised for something that was out of my control and happened when I was off sick and my boss was on leave. It's really upset me and I just feel like I don't need this.

Bump wise I'm very podgy today but think it's due to over indulgence rather than baby, wish she'd move and bit more as it's not very often I feel her and really need the reassurance!

MissSMartin · 17/08/2015 08:53

I feel super paranoid but I'm 17+3 and I have quite a big bump.. my friend at work said "omg your bigger than my sister and she's 6 months!" Blush ..
I think it's because I'm only size 8.. and maybe that's why I feel so much movement? I have no idea? Hmm

MissSMartin · 17/08/2015 08:54

aww melon hope your okay Thanks try not to let it get you down x
