Sleepy just bought my brownies. You are responsible Grin

Valancy I totally have that feeling every now and then, I mean, what have we done?!? There's no going back now..... Smile

SleepyDragon · 14/08/2015 19:32

MissS my junior said that the other day 'just think, this time next year it'll all be over and you'll have a 7month old'

My reaction was literally 'wha?!?!?!!!' Lol!

Sorry B&W...... But I hope you enjoy them lol!

Yokyil · 14/08/2015 20:20

Am the same - will wake up anytime between 3-5 to go for a wee and turn over about 10 times to try and get comfy. Then could sleep when it's time to get up at 7! But am off allll next week, I cannot wait.
Lovely pic mini can't wait to see baba again on Monday Smile

mrschatty · 14/08/2015 20:30

Aw yokil I wish my scan was as close...2 weeks on Tuesday....feeling anxious Sad

Yokyil · 14/08/2015 20:36

I know mrschatty I'm anxious and excited in equal measure - this is the biggie! Very nerve wrecking. Your 2 weeks will fly by - then we'll be on the 2nd half countdown Grin

20+0

Juniper404 · 14/08/2015 23:05

Sleepy mothers' day is March, so you should be the first one getting something! And it's your first mothers' day, so has to be special.

SleepyDragon · 14/08/2015 23:12

Oh my god! I never even thought if that Juniper!!!!! Thanks! GrinGrin

frozenfairy123 · 15/08/2015 06:47

Loveulots- 4 hours traveling with a newborn will be hell! They shouldn't be in a car seat for long so even if they sleep u will need to get them out often. X

MissSMartin · 15/08/2015 08:01

I'm worrying and I know I shouldn't be but ever since I finally felt baby move .. I have felt her sooo much and since yesterday afternoon I have only felt her move once ( at bedtime) I know they have no pattern or routine atall this early on (17w+1) but it's freaking me out. . do you think it could be he position. . she may be kicking towards my back instead of my stomach now? sorry to whine.. but you ladies help me so much! x

Sweetpea80 · 15/08/2015 08:03

Morning everyone. I'm so glad it's the weekend I was so tired last week with all the early starts. Although I woke at 7:30 it was good to wake up myself and not with the alarm.

It's my oldest DD 18th birthday today so we are all going out for the day. She had a party a few weeks ago so it will be nice to have family time with her today.

I'm thinking about ordering my pram today too. Do u think it's still too soon?

Hope you all have a good weekend ????????

tinyme135 · 15/08/2015 08:06

Going back to how mothers day is first and it'll be extra special for us, my birthday is first and only a month and a bit after little one due so I get two special cards haha. DP isn't happy xD

So what everyone got planned for today?

Sweetpea80 · 15/08/2015 08:08

It's not silly to worry Missmartin. You are probably right about baby changing position. There is lots of room for her to flip around. Have u tried having a cold drink or a fizzy drink to see if that makes her move around?
You felt her at bedtime so you know she is ok. Maybe she's been sleeping a lot.
I'm starting to feel little flutters but not proper kicks yet. At my last scan she said my placenta is high put across my stomach so that's probably why I'm not feeling much. I thought since this is DC5 I would feel more by now.

18+2

Sweetpea80 · 15/08/2015 08:12

How nice Tiny to have your birthday so close babys. Two very special cards and presents coming your way.

My birthday is on Monday and oldest DD is today. It's special now but when she was born I wasn't too happy as I was in hospital on my birthday and I was desperate to get home.

MissSMartin · 15/08/2015 08:15

thanks sweetpea Smile .. im in the area affected by the water bug so we can't drink tap water so I've just been having hot vimto and stuff so i have no cold drinks lol and I don't have fizzy drinks at home so I'll get a can of Dr pepper when I get to work at 9 and see if that makes her wriggle.. yeah she's only 13cm from head to bum when the sonographer measured her so she's still teeny and my belly is rapidly expanding so she has plenty of room to move around and scare me half to death
thanks for reassuring me Smile x
your so lucky to be on your fifth child..
hope your daughter has a great bday!Smile

MissSMartin · 15/08/2015 08:15

Oh ffs that failed! haha

ValancyJane · 15/08/2015 08:20

Ooh forgot about Mother's Day, that's a weird thought! I have a lovely friend who has a partner who can at times be a bit crap, and year after year he does nothing to make the day special despite the fact she gets upset, she didn't even get a card for the first one. I have complained so often to OH about this that I'm pretty certain he knows a card, flowers and lunch are expected of him Grin

Miss I'm pretty sure it's normal for the baby to just move elsewhere for a change of scene where it's a bit harder to feel it. Maybe try a cold drink, or one friend swore by a coffee (if you haven't already had anything caffeinated this morning, obviously!).

Went out for dinner last night, and a friend whose wedding we're going to in a fortnight made my day by telling me the vegetarian option was going to involve pasteurised goats cheese. I didn't know you could get a pasteurised version, bloody genius! She may think I'm borderline crazy now, as I was SO bloody excited about this.

tinyme135 · 15/08/2015 08:23

Last night I was trying to get to have a nap for an hour or so (had the worst headache ever) and as I was just about to drop off it felt like I had a massive pulse hit me in my belly, I know I ain't got no big ones there, so it must be the little one telling me you can't go to sleep yet xD All this morning I've been having the same feeling but a bit more frequently. Making me so happy

coffeenut · 15/08/2015 08:42

All of you on your first babies are very lucky to be feeling movement so soon Smile I didn't feel anything much (and certainly not more than the odd flutter or pop) with my first until 20-21 weeks. I was quite slim with great stomach muscles back then though - this time around not so much! Grin I really wouldnt worry about feeling a lot one day and not much or nothing the next. Their legs and kicks are so little atm and they can flip around and do all sorts.

With a little bit of rearranging and we creativity, we managed to get three car seats across the back of our car! And we got a third britax car seat for half price in a sale. Yay!

First mothers' days are so special Smile

crumble26 · 15/08/2015 08:44

Hey MissS, absolutely do not worry about your little bean's movements at this stage. At 17w I had only felt her very occasionally and then not for days. I'm 21w on Monday and now it's definitely a few times a day but even then it can really depend on position of baby. Quite a few funny bladder sensations and even further to the back. I can recommend eating ice cream to wake things up Wink

BTW my first Mothers Day was quite an anti-climax, despite a lovely card from DS, the day just didn't go well but there will be plenty more in the future so I didn't get too hung up about it. Baby's first Christmas was lovely though!! It all depends on the circumstances.

kep1979 · 15/08/2015 08:53

My birthday is 9 days after my due date Smile Mother's Day is a bit of an odd one for us as I miscarried on Mother's Day this year... I know the dates change but think it will be bittersweet Hmm

On way down to my friend's funeral, glad the sun has come out for him! Going to be a long day, five hours in the car there and back. But may be picking up pushchair today.... saw immaculate Bugaboo Buffalo black frame online and have made offer contingent on picking up today - fingers crossed! Dh is pleased as he wants to buy second hand, I only agreed cause it's in perfect condition and then I can justify buying a snuzpod as we'll have saved £££ in the pushchair

BeeMyBaby · 15/08/2015 09:28

Missmartin I was looking at scan guidance the other day online and the clinic recommended eating something sugary to wake the baby up- it seems to work.

DH got to feel the baby doing a tiny kick last night, later on though he thought he felt it do a massive ninja kick but I had to admit that the latter was just wind Blush

On the topic of birthdays, DHs is 10 days before our EDD so he's decided to do everything he can do to get a birthday baby for himself Confused

SleepyDragon · 15/08/2015 09:36

Morning all

I get the feeling ill have to remind DH about Mother's Day but to be honest I'm more excited that baby will be more 'aware' for their first Christmas Grin

tinyme135 · 15/08/2015 09:39

My EDD is 5 days before my dad's birthday so you never know he might get a grandchild for a present haha.

I think I might have to remind DP about mothers day too. I have to remind him for his own mum haha.

Lookingforadvice123 · 15/08/2015 09:44

missmartin don't worry I was in exactly the same position as you a couple of weeks ago, had been feeling a few movements every day and suddenly barely anything. It's totally normal before baby gets bigger, I'm 20 weeks today (yey, halfway!) and it's the same for me, baby was literally having a rave on wednesday, felt so much, and then for the last couple of days although I've felt him it's nowhere near as much. I don't think you're supposed to notice a definite pattern until about 28 weeks, is that right?? My two friends are 25 and 26 weeks and they're the same, will feel loads some days then others not feel anything for hours. Doesn't mean they're not moving x

lilyb84 · 15/08/2015 10:13

Quite of few of you already reaching halfway and beyond, wow! I'm 17+1 today as well miss and jealous of all the movement you've felt so far - but as others have said don't worry about it not having a pattern just yet Smile

I'm still in bed (lazy) with a bit of a headache and dreading a drive through central London later (we live in SE and are going to pick up a cot and then go for a night out in Islington) but excited to realise my little bump's now visible even when I'm lying down!

My birthday's 1st Jan so I'll have the best part of a year before getting my first card from baby but definitely looking forward to that first Mother's Day Smile

Hope everyone has lovely weekends! Happy 18th to your DD, sweetpea!
