Sorry 17+2!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 12/08/2015 22:27

"One horn every minute" LOL!

MissSMartin · 12/08/2015 22:34

I know must admit that made me giggle .. one horn haha!

moonshine- I love watching it. . you see so many different births it's good to see the diversity of what can happen

Blackandwhitecat3 · 12/08/2015 22:37

Tiny are you ok, my love? Just read your thread from this morning. Hope you're feeling better now, rest up and go easy on yourself. It gets better xxx

BeeMyBaby · 12/08/2015 22:38

I agree that it seemed like a nice birth, but thinking personally, I like to chat and I don't think sitting in silence would help. Plus I am cheap and wouldn't spend lots of money on trying to relieve pain which will hopefully only last a few hours.

mrschatty · 12/08/2015 22:55

Oh tiny I've not seen your thread but do hope your ok x

MissSMartin · 12/08/2015 23:03

aww what's up? hope your okay hun xx

Oysterbabe · 12/08/2015 23:24

I'm not doing the classes, I bought a book on hypnobirthing and will just give it a go myself Smile

coffeenut · 13/08/2015 00:18

oh no, what's happening with tiny? I had a quick search but couldnt find it.
Thanks for sympathy re my friend. It's her first baby, she'll be induced in a few days so they can then do further tests/ MRIs and then surgery. She'll be given drugs to stop her milk supply so she wont be able to breastfeed. And I'm not not sure how well she'll be able to hold her baby after the mastectomy etc. Breaks my heart. She's being very strong though.

Anyway. Sorry to be a downer on a happy thread.

Yay for more boys! Congrats Brooke and moonshine!!!!

Hypnobirthing - my two cents. I had the CD and listened to it every day pre birth for DD1 and my gut reaction would be not to bother. BUT I was induced and went into labour with intense, unrelenting contractions almost immediately, there was no time to get into the zone. I get the feeling the classes might be more beneficial as although I had the general gist, I had no real idea how to cope with it all or calm down!

Lookingforadvice123 · 13/08/2015 06:59

moonshine I refuse to watch OBEM now after the 2nd episode showed a baby being born really prematurely and not surviving (didn't watch - looked it up)! I can't watch that kind of thing while I'm pregnant, plus like any programme it probably started off being realistic but now it's all about the drama and diverse births to keep people interested!

What's wrong with tiny?

SleepyDragon · 13/08/2015 08:03

Morning All

i echo the above Tiny are you ok my love? i can't find a thread either but i do hope everything is ok

I know none of us know each other but there is a level of 'friendship' and care here between us all.

My little Bumble appears to have decided they are nocturnal... for 4 hours last night (S)He decided to wriggle around. DH felt it for the first time, described it as a 'vibration type feeling' then said 'oh thats weird' and snatched his hand away lol!

mrschatty · 13/08/2015 08:06

Oh I am so tired today...weekend can't come soon enough! Roll on 5.30!!
Hope everyone is well today!

SleepyDragon · 13/08/2015 08:07

Found this.....

hope its just growing stretching pains Tiny

SleepyDragon · 13/08/2015 08:08

Sorry - scrap that - its just a post she commented on i'm reading it wrong!!

impatientlywaiting · 13/08/2015 08:37

I did Hypnobirthing weekend course and found it really good. A lot of it was anatomy and the science behind how being relaxed creates better outcomes. We didn't really listen to the CDS or do the chants very much, but throughout labour I was pretty relaxed and manage to labour until 7cm at home. Water birth was all really relaxing etc. I would recommend Hypnobirthing if it's something that interests you.

jmac88 · 13/08/2015 08:52

Oh I'm so jealous of you all feeling flutters and movements. Especially the couple of you whose partners have felt kicks too!!! I don't really think I've felt anything yet and I'm almost 19 weeks! I was told I have low anterior placenta at 12 weeks but I think that usually moves by now?

Also for those interested in hypnobirthing I have been recommended these people for free online video classes:

Think I'm going to give it a go! You don't lose anything if it doesn't work I guess?

tinyme135 · 13/08/2015 09:00

Yeah everything is fine. My mood swayed on dinner as OH surprised me and came to see me cause he knew how off I was then my nan made me her home made stew for tea and it was just what I needed. I'm getting there every step of the way some days I'm really bad others (like this morning I'm singing out loud and making everyone look at me weird). Trying to support a grieving partner and his family on top of all the work I do at work isn't helping but knowing ladies like you are out there to help me makes me smile and push me through the day so thank you :D

I'm now crying over all your thoughts and concern :) I've never had so much from people. X

moonshine25 · 13/08/2015 09:14

Oh tiny I'm so pleased you're ok. Just let your moods come out whatever you're feeling, that's always the best thing to do ime. You've definitely got our support Smile

Hope all you lovely ladies have good days! Another day in front my my computer - yuk! Come on mat leave!!!

tinyme135 · 13/08/2015 09:21

I think I'll be fine till I finish work and telling the mother-in-law the news about us. She doesn't know and he can't seem to find the words to tell her (as she's so down and moody all the while) so he said for me to tell her. I'm trying to plan it all in my head but all I keep coming up with is you're going to be a nanny and that's it no easy way to put it haha xD not looking forward to being constantly bugged by her haha.

Oh and update on my nan, she's gone over board with baby stuff. She's more happy than me I think haha :D every shop she goes into she's buying me something for when the little one comes. How do I stop her (rolls eyes)

MissSMartin · 13/08/2015 09:40

oops just went a bit mad in tesco and bought loads of girls clothes..keeping the receipts though for the 5% chance it could be a boy lol
glad I'm getting re-confirmation at the 20 week scan!

tiny Aww that's great she's come around now.. bless her! Smile

fishermanswife1 · 13/08/2015 09:59

Morning all. Congrats on all the scan news and gender reveals. DH and I can't wait! 20 week scan on Wednesday next week well I'll be 19+4, not long now! Odd thing is, my appointment with the consultant to review the results isn't until the next day.

Glad you're feeling better tiny, that's so sweet if your nan. Mine isn't mobile any more and doesn't leave the house but she's given us a litlle money to buy a Moses basket, stand, sheets etc. So grateful!

Starting to really feel the stretching and pulling now. It can be a little achey. Pants definitely feeling smaller. Yet I'm still 1kg lighter than at start. Don't mind, just find it odd as Ibe got a bump and my boobs are do much bigger. Can't work out where it's coming from. One of the many mysteries of pregnancy.

Hating work right now. It's so full on, rushed and stressful. But booked the whole day off for scan next week. Since I worked all last weekend. Woo hoo! Roll on Xmas!

stupidgirl45 · 13/08/2015 10:07

Morning everyone, how exciting for all the 20 wk scans coming up - mine is 3 weeks yesterday. it can't come soon enough! Also mat leave/xmas hurry up please!!

I'm feeling rubbish again this morning - sick, tired, back ache and a bit crampy. Little Fish is very low apparently and it's definitely kicking around down there, mostly on my bladder grrr.

Still haven't bought anything - just don't feel like it. I feel very meh today, think it's this crap weather.

I am the whingiest pregnant woman ever!

Hope everyone else has a good day

17+1

SleepyDragon · 13/08/2015 10:42

Hearing you all on the xmas/mat leave thing - i've just worked out that, if everything goes to plan, i have 78 working days left!! lol

Just had a text from DH telling me i have to make a cake tonight for him to take into work tomorrow..... apparenlty theylve been having a sweep type thing on Great British Bake Off and if your person gets kicked off you have to provide home made cakes. Nice of him to warn me! rolls eyes

Tiny so glad your nan has come round, it was probably more the miffed feeling at not being told directly by you that set her off bless her!

oooh i forgot earlier - 18WK TODAY!!! Grin

melonface · 13/08/2015 10:47

Oh god I just added it up and still another 18 weeks at work, that's longer than I've been pregnant!

stupidgirl my 20 week scan is the same day as yours. looking forward to ticking off the next milestone Smile Anyone else feel like once you get passed 24 weeks you'll relax? I hate the word 'viable' but just willing baby to stay tight in there.
