I'm sorry to hear that coffee

Brooke113 · 12/08/2015 12:45

Yay, we're back up and running again, been trying to get on for ages, to tell you that our little bubba is 100% male, which makes me team BLUE!! He was really flashing us :) he was also holding the cord and we saw him having a drink too,was so so cute. The deal was fab to be honest, was £40 for the scan in 4d and pics on a disk. Im glad we did it, as here in Shropshire, they won't tell you babies gender at the 20week scan.

jmac88 · 12/08/2015 13:18

Wow coffee that's really sad. I'm so sorry to hear that.

Yay brooke to another addition to team blue, we were feeling quite lonely!

SleepyDragon · 12/08/2015 13:18

LOL thanks Coffee i must admit i was SO relieved!

So sorry to hear about your friend though, that must be heartbreaking!

Looking i didn't get to hear HB at my 16wk either, first and only time so far was 12wk and nothing again till 27 August for 20wk scan Sad

lilyb84 · 12/08/2015 14:16

Congrats brooke, your scan sounds great!

Coffee, how horrible about your friend and what a shock at any time let alone when about to become a mum. I hope they've at least caught it early enough - one good thing about being pregnant I suppose is perhaps having more regular check ups?

tiny lovely bump Smile And I like the look of your dress btw! Was it you having confidentiality issues with your GP? I can't find the conversation on the old thread...

And fourlegs haven't heard from you for a while, hope everything's okay. Not sure if you decided to go for the amnio test?

Yokyil · 12/08/2015 14:18

looking we're 20wk scan buddies Grin can't wait and petrified at the same time!!
Congrats brooke and missm on finding out!
Is there many on team yellow?? We're not finding out on Monday.

Lookingforadvice123 · 12/08/2015 14:38

coffee that's so awful about your friend Flowers

brooke YEY for team blue! Think there's only 4 of us at the min, you, me, jmac and coffee!

Eek yokil I'm already getting anxious as its so detailed! What time is yours? Ours is really early luckily, 9:10am. Going to be absolutely shitting it.

Oysterbabe · 12/08/2015 14:42

Tempting as it is, I'm staying team yellow.

Juniper404 · 12/08/2015 14:54

I was adamant I was team yellow but every now and then I get a little 'perhaps...' moment. I'm pretty sure we won't find out, though.

DD is still too young to understand one way or the other, and we plan on having four if we can, so will probably get a boy at some point! Not fussed about the idea of having one of each- would be quite happy to just have girls!

Also, word of advice re wall stickers... don't put them too close to the cot! DD's new trick is to peel them all off the wall and stick them together. Anything to avoid sleeping! Sigh.

ValancyJane · 12/08/2015 14:56

coffee That's awful, hopefully they've caught it early. Good on her for pushing for a referral!

brooke Congratulations on the team blue! I am getting more and more swayed by the thought of a 4D scan at some point.....

mrschatty · 12/08/2015 15:12

coffee I'm sorry to hear about your friend what terrible news Sad
brooke Aw team blue how wonderful...my instincts feel like I'm team blue but who knows....
My brain is mush seriously. Baby brain is real. Turned up 2 hours early for work...Hmm so did 2hrs overtime which atleast I get paid time and a half for...but that means my lunch was at 2.30 and seriously I thought I was about to pass out. I should have just told my manager I needed a 5 mins break but thought I'd be ok! Slowly getting better as blood sugar restores with a cheese sandwich and iron bru.
tiny I wanted to ask too any update on gp issue?

tinyme135 · 12/08/2015 15:22

Oh yeah. My case worker sent me a letter I gotta send out a signed consent form they sent me to allow them to look into it on my behalf. I also contacted the local ccg and waiting for their response too. So looks like it's on the up.

lilyb84 · 12/08/2015 15:45

I was adamant about being team yellow, DH was firmly pro-finding out. We've now met somewhere in the middle so think we'll just have to see how we feel on the day... Grin

melonface · 12/08/2015 15:57

Just back from my 16 week midwife appointment got to hear baby's heartbeat which was lovely Smile Took her a long time to find which just shows how dangerous it would be to have a doppler at home. Even for a stress head like me!
Blood pressure back to normal and am feeling much better now.

I'm actually 17+0 today but she had me down as 16+4 which is impossible as I ovulated really late that cycle. doesn't bother me now but might do if I end up overdue!

lilyb84 · 12/08/2015 16:05

Oh have lovely melon! Glad your bp's down too Smile

Nice to hear you're making progress, tiny. Well done for sticking with it.

And I keep forgetting to do this: 16+5 today.

lilyb84 · 12/08/2015 16:06

*how lovely, I seem to have lost the ability to type/spell...

dinosaurdaughter · 12/08/2015 16:12

coffeenut so sorry about your friend but very good that she pushed for that referral. At least now they will manage her pregnancy with this in mind and hopefully get her on a treatment programme as soon as she has given birth. I really sympathise with you as my friend was diagnosed earlier this year, it was heart breaking as she had suffered a miscarriage last year and now this year to be told she had cancer and very little chance of conceiving again once the treatment was over (age and aggressive form of cancer). However she is doing great and nearly at the end of her chemo and I’m sure your friend will do brilliantly too.

Congratulations Brooke on joining team blue.

loveulotslikejellytots · 12/08/2015 16:15

Coffee - So sorry about your friend.

My 20 week scan is 08:10 on Saturday! We're hoping to find out, hopefully it'll be in a decent position for us to see. I'm really looking forward to it, mainly because my 12 week scan wasn't great. It felt rushed (which is fine, it's a medical test - not for my entertainment) but the guy doing it was really quiet through the whole thing and didn't even tell us everything was ok for a good few minutes, I had to ask. That felt like hours. Then I had to ask for pictures, he hadn't saved any so we could only have the last 3 things he'd submitted into the system, which to be honest look like they could be my kidneys!

Sweetpea80 · 12/08/2015 16:18

Congratulations Missmartin on being part of team pink. Mia is a beautiful name.
Brooke did you find out if your team pink or blue?
I'm glad others feel a greater bond from knowing the gender. I thought it was me just being hormonal again.

I've notice my knickers are getting uncomfortable and I spend ages rummaging through the drawer looking for comfy ones. I think a few new pairs is on the cards.

Hope everyone who is having problems with blood pressure and iron levels are feeling ok.

We are definitely going to get new mattresses for our cot and cradle as my youngest will be 11 in January. I can't wait to order our pram now. I was waiting to find out the gender first as I really like the damson colour but didn't think it would be ok for a boy.

Nightfall we are also going to be having regular cardiac scans and growth scans due to my last DD having a cardiac condition and needing open heart surgery when she was 6months. Are you in a similar situation? ( if it's too personal pls ignore my question)

MissSMartin · 12/08/2015 16:21

aww a little boy .. cutee brooke Grin
I'm getting a 4d when I'm 26 weeks that's when the sonographer suggested is the best time to get one

Romeolovesjuliet · 12/08/2015 16:39

coffee so sorry about your friend. What a difficult time for her and her family.
We're firmly in team yellow. I don't think I mind either way what we have - on one hand another girl would be nice but boys are so much more straightforward and the thought of 2 teenage girls in the house fills me with dread. DD wants a sister, DS is too young to even understand there's a baby at the moment. I know it doesn't matter either way though as once they are here they will just be 'them' and it will all be irrelevant.

Sweetpea80 · 12/08/2015 17:02

Brooke congratulations on team blue.

When I've managed to log in today it's posted the message I typed out last night so it's a bit out of sync

Good luck with any scans today Smile

nicnicspicnic · 12/08/2015 17:06

I'm also definitely team blue - so that will be 4 DS for me - but I wouldn't swap it for the world. Although I probably won't be saying that when it's raining, freezing cold and I'm back to spending my weekends watching football and rugby matches!

My 3 DS love the fruit/baby size app - and the fact that this week he's the size of a pepper.

Brooke113 · 12/08/2015 17:19

Ooh what is that app nic

I got told that too regarding the 4d scan miss Martin my clinic was doing a deal at the time, which is why I had 4d. Don't think I could persuade dp to go back again as I've had a few scans Blush

Brooke113 · 12/08/2015 17:22

I just need a mini vent on here, before I say something in real life and pee a few people off....sitting in the wacky with my two, heavily pregnant woman on the table next to ours, covered in electrode type things usually to check your heart etc, like ecg type things, and is out every 10 minutes smoking....
