Good iron chat Smile happy to mop up some of your extra iron nightfall and Brooke, thanks for the offer.

Loving the idea of a jungle nursery too, all those animals.

So.....I went in to school today and told the head about my pg. I've been dreading it for months weeks and to my absolute astonishment he straight away went into "many congratulations" and "I'm so happy for you" and we had a nice chat. Unheard of! So relieved that's over and that it went so well Grin.

Lily I am into berries at the moment too - scoffed loads of strawberries yesterday and can't get enough. Really into sour fruits too though like raspberries and blackcurrants, and am still loving apples - have done all the way through, even when at my sickest.

However, I have one food word for you today ladies: Milkybar!

Meet Baby Mia!
She's one active little wriggler! Me & dp looked at each other and cried Smile
I'm sooooo happy to have a Daughter x

Just got home, BP test at 6:30pm... really hoping it's gone down then at least the blasted tablets are doing their job and it shouldn't be early onset preeclampsia.

Also checked my print out for iron considering my confusion earlier and yes, I got it mixed up with BP.... Iron level is 150!

SleepyDragon · 11/08/2015 17:54

Ahhhh crossed posts MissS

Lovely pic, hello Mia!!!!

dinosaurdaughter · 11/08/2015 17:58

Congratulations miss martin on your daughter.
brooke hope all goes well tonight.
Another safari room here, daughter loves it we are going to struggle to get her out before the baby arrives. So jealous of all you with your healthy fruit cravings. It's frazzles here in the dino camp. We have even nicknamed bump crispin.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 11/08/2015 18:00

Ah frazzles! Omg I wish I could have some!

melonface · 11/08/2015 18:02

Blackandwhite very similar questions to what I asked the consultant last time :) Basically I'll probably have routine scans every 4 weeks, a couple of extra heart scans and then any extra if something is found at one of those scans.
Regarding birth it should be normal unless baby breech or something (so same as everyone else). I'm guessing they wouldn't like me to have a homebirth but that doesn't appeal anyway so hasn't come up. I'm obviously consultant-led so whether I'd be allowed into the midwife led unit I'm not sure of but I'm relaxed about staying consultant-led, as this is my second birth I feel confident to insist on keeping mobile etc. What happens immediately after birth depends on what the scans show but hopefully baby should be able to come straight to me and stay with me - unless severe heart problems are indicated. Basically wait and see :)

Romeolovesjuliet · 11/08/2015 18:40

Congrats MissS. So many girls! I'm losing track of how many of us there are in team yellow - doesn't feel like many - but will be interesting to see if those not finding out even out the boy girl numbers.
sleepy hope the bp test goes well and night good luck for the the detailed scan.

Another one craving really sweet drinks here - fizzy is best. I daren't think about how much artificial sweetener I have consumed recently Blush

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 11/08/2015 18:45

Congrats missmartin! Another member of team pink! Where are all the boys eh?

jmac88 · 11/08/2015 18:50

Congrats miss m on your baby girl Mia. How exciting!

So is anybody else struggling with hormones and emotions? Had a big row with dh today as he wants to go to pub with friends a few nights per week and where I would normally be happy to go along too, I no longer enjoy being in the pub surrounded by pissed people drinking an oj. He said its not his fault but I'm arguing that it would be nice if he could be at home with me so I'm not home alone and bored. Anyway this doesn't sound massively significant but my emotions are going into overdrive and I feel quite sick with anxiety now that when the baby comes it's going to be the same and I will be alone etc etc. Plus it's our 1st wedding anniversary this weekend and now feel like it will be ruined.

Sorry for the woe is me post but feeling rather delicate now!

TeenieDeenie · 11/08/2015 18:50

Ahhhhh MissMartin congratulations on team pink! Your scan pics are adorable Smile How far along are you now? We have our gender scan on Sunday at 17+3, really cannot wait!

Brooke good luck tonight, looking forward to hearing your lovely news!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 11/08/2015 19:15

Congrats MissM and congrats on your lowered bp sleepy too.

I'm still in team yellow...and planning to stay that way. Though DH is "not sure" he'll be able to make the scan on the 25th - if he doesn't then I'm tempted to find out and just not tell!

BeeMyBaby · 11/08/2015 19:15

Jmac yes I'm super hormonal that way as well, last Wednesday at work I was in tears twice- I'm in an all female office and it can get extremely catty/aggressive sometimes, usually I can hold my own perfectly well but I just broke.

Those who are having gender scans, did you correctly guess at 12 weeks if you used the nub theory?

MissSMartin · 11/08/2015 19:18

Thanks ladies! I can't remember who said it but I agree with now feeling more bonded with the baby knowing what 'she' is Grin. . aparently due to my strong hormones her 'bits' were a bit swollen Hmm
looking forward to hearing brookes news! Grin

MiniTickle · 11/08/2015 19:18

Congrats on a girl, Miss Martin.
Think I've got a boy, find out Friday!

Lookingforadvice123 · 11/08/2015 19:30

Congrats on the girl missmartin! Agree 100% I've really bonded with my little fella since finding out he's a he!

SleepyDragon · 11/08/2015 19:41

Oops not sure how I posted twice... Dodgy signal sorry!

JMac does it have to be a few times a week not just 1 night a week? I don't mind DH going out on a Fri night for example but more than 1 night is taking the piss!

jmac88 · 11/08/2015 19:42

Thanks bee it's really hard particularly as I think being pregnant does generally make you feel more vulnerable.

Hopefully some evening scan news will cheer me up!

crumble74 · 11/08/2015 20:01

Congrats on your scan misssmartin! Lovely to have another team pink among us. Cute name too!

Glad your chat went well b&w!

I am totally into strawberries, I have half a punnet for breakfast every morning Blush

We had a forest theme for our nursery, and clouds on one side. I still love it and it's nice for both DS and DD.

I really like the balloons idea oyster but then I'm in Bristol so I definitely get it! Wink

Good luck for all the scans and appointments happening at the mo!

BeeMyBaby · 11/08/2015 20:13

Also jmac, my DH goes out 2 evenings a week to do martial arts and I tend to just enjoy some Netflix etc, however at least that is for fitness and I think I would object if he was just going to hang out and drink (not an issue for us as we are both teetotal). In the past I have got upset if DH tries to go out extra (gym etc) so I completely understand you being emotional, quite rightly so even if you weren't pregnant!
