Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 34th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 34th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

mountaingirl01 · 28/07/2015 11:09

congratulations la!! I'm so happy for you :) :)

Hope all goes well today would

Second trimester I felt worse tbh. BUT feeling great in third! I've actually started exercising again I feel so good i'm sure it's nothing to do with the end being in sight for work

oneyorkshirepud · 28/07/2015 11:37

Ooh good news on the exercise front Mountain! I was hoping to start again this week but now in the middle of DIY chaos so that is enough physical work for me at the mo!

Looking, scan is a week today. I am trying not to think about it too much as I got in such a panic about the 12 week scan. Just trying to breathe and stay calm! I can feel Christmas Pud wiggling everyday which I find quite reassuring so I will focus on that!

Cake for the exhausted Viroids. And an extra slice for those of you who already have kids how on earth does this work?! it does got better. Eventually Confused

ThursdayLast · 28/07/2015 11:49

Oh man I'm so tired and lazy I backed out of seeing my friends Sad
So now of course I feel guilty.
It's bloody freezing today even down in Cornwall!

Huuuuge congratulations La. Enjoy sleep and cuddles. Can't wait to see pictures and hear your mammoth story!

Good Luck with your scan today Would

ThursdayLast · 28/07/2015 11:57

Oh La, you're a super star! Your birth story has been so like mine with DS that when I posted at 2am last night I was wondering if you were being sorted out after a section.

(DS was born that way at 1am too!)

Anyways, make sure that if you feel at all unwell you tell someone - I had a longish recovery in hospital because I had two things wrong with similar symptoms and neither of them were sorted for a week. I know MWs are busy but you're entitled to nag at this stage Smile

Purpleball · 28/07/2015 11:58

Bat if you're 5th that must make me 4th eeeek!

Purplebaby still a whopper Smile. Not moving much today but scan was fine

rdm10 · 28/07/2015 12:03

I've tried to add myself to the stats but I think I've done it wrong as it's left me at the bottom totally showing how computer illiterate I am What should I have done??

Niffertiti · 28/07/2015 12:15

Viroids who are a bit further on: what's the latest you'd feel comfortable going away for a long weekend? During my 4 month birthing sojourn in Bangkok I'm keen to get out of the city. Was hoping for an Xmas break but have now realised I will be 38 weeksShock.

It would be somewhere luxury air miles! about 90 mins - 2hrs drive from my chosen hospital. How late would you chance it? 34 weeks? 35? 36? My key interest will be floating in the sea, swimming pool and massive whirlpool bath on my balcony. I am happiest when aquatic. I do not intend to leave the resort! Possibly surviving off room service.

CarrotPuff · 28/07/2015 12:26

rdm I've fixed it, you're in the middle now.

Niff I think 36 weeks is a cut off on most airlines. If you still can get to your hospital in reasonable time then any time is fine I think.

CarrotPuff · 28/07/2015 12:27

With DS I felt fine until about 38 weeks. Every pregnancy is different though, it's really hard to tell so early on how you'll feel at later stages.

gaggiagirl · 28/07/2015 12:30

purple what weight is he? Is everything else all ok?
niff I'm the wrong person to ask I'm almost 30 weeks and the thought of leaving the house the take the bairn to the park fills me with dread and pain. If your a normal human and not a misery guts like me I say go for it and enjoy it!

TotallyAnonymousUsername · 28/07/2015 12:31

Thanks carrot, I like to keep my age and location a secret i have no idea of its a boy or a girl. Definitely will find out at the 20 week scan though.

would i hope your scan was ok?

Thursday that's pretty much how i was yesterday. I think we must be pregnancy twins. I felt a bit better today so we made it to a playgroup. I'm looking forward to lying down while dd has her nap though Smile

niff i doubt you'll be allowed to fly that late in pregnancy? The problem is you're technically term from 37 weeks and although loss of people go over, you could do a baby anytime! I think i personally wouldn't fly after about 35 weeks. But i think it depends a lot on how things are going and how you feel.

On the subject of glow, I think I only managed 3 or 4 weeks in the middle with dd! I remember waiting for a growth scan at about 37 weeks and a woman coming thriving from her 20 week scan, looking really happy (so clearly all good) with a really neat bump, not sweating, with amazing hair, full make up and heels. I am still jealous, she was properly glowing, so it clearly does happen to some people.

batfish · 28/07/2015 12:58

niff I'm on hols now and will be almost 31 weeks on my return - I'm on an island in the middle of the sea and I'm not quite sure what would happen if I needed to get to a hospital probably would have to use our life savings on a helicopter and I feel ok with this....I reckon somewhere 90 mins away from a hospital that I would be happy to give birth in I would brave 35-36 weeks because of not being allowed to fly after 36 weeks. But I feel totally fine and touch wood have had no complications or even any tiredness please don't hate me tired viroids so I guess it would be different if you weren't feeling so good.....but personally I would be happy with 35-36 weeks I'd say. Probably later if wasn't restricted by flying.

batfish · 28/07/2015 13:01

Viroids who are further on and getting loads of movement...does your baby ever go totally nuts for 5 mins or so? I've had 2 or 3 occasions where I have no idea what is going on in there but my tummy is shaking around like there is no tomorrow and it feels like the baby is trying out for a martial arts world record at the same time as bouncing up and down - most odd!! Is this normal?!

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 13:13

niff I travelled abroad for a last hurrah to a third world country with poor infrastructure when 6 months pregnant. I felt very confident but researched larger local hospitals that could be reached within 2-5hrs if needed of all the places we travelled just so I knew exactly what to do in case something happened. I also ranked them according to where to preferably travel to depending on the severity of what could cause concern at that stage because I'm a geek. In addition I got a shot of something or other from my gynae at the time that I could take in an emergency to stop contractions if they started at that stage and I was far away or concerned about the local meds.
I also flew a 2hrs trip at 38.5 weeks for a work meeting I had to attend and was planning to lie if someone asked me and say I was 36 weeks, but no-one did I think they just thought I was fattish and didn't worry too much about it.
However I think you mean you're driving to the place? My theory is that you are unlikely (but it is obviously not impossible at all) to go into labour without any warning and have a baby within 2hrs. Yes, it might be quite a bit uncomfortable if you do go into labour and have to drive back from the holiday but all being well you should easily make it.
If I were in your shoes I would do it without worrying too much. I would being anal inform my gynae/mw about it just to keep them up to speed, make sure I have an alternative route planned if there is a shoot-out/flood/kabuki theatre show on your normal highway/route, check out the local hospital or doctors or gynaes in the vicinity so that if something really suddenly happens you have a list of people or places you can get to in 15minutes.
I would also make sure DP knew the gist of catching the baby, cutting a cord, and resusitation. In fact, I made DH go through those things anyway before DC was born, so that he could, in an emergency, deal with it adequately. Grin
Relax! :)

MollyBloomYes · 28/07/2015 13:25

Huge congrats again to la, so pleased he's finally here!

Hear you all on the tiredness! DH is off for the summer now so has been taking ds most mornings which has been an enormous help but still want a nap most days!

Today my womb feels heavy. And sort of like it's not attached to anything in there but is just flopping around. Most bizarre. Keen to get some proper kicks now, not felt much so far and am impatient!

WouldRatherHaveCake · 28/07/2015 13:28

Sorry my ruddy Internet wouldn't load! I am the proud owner of a blob! Measuring 9w1 so EDD of Feb 29th Grin

Purpleball · 28/07/2015 13:29

Ga he's fine, measuring 5lbs 8 or 2.5kgs in new money, still above the 90th centile. Section has been booked for 8th September Smile
BP is fine too. He seems to have slowed down a bit but no concerns. Back for another growth scan in 2 weeks.

I'm a bit scaredy about travel. Was debating a trip to Scotland to see family but I'd rather be at home. Also don't fancy 5 hours on a train or in a car Smile. It would be at 35 weeks when I finish work

Niffertiti · 28/07/2015 13:29

Thanks dudes. Microniff will be making its way into the world via Bangkok (not via my fanjo oh no no no no no, don't be so absurd!) so it is really just about being comfortable for a 2 hour drive and risk around early sudden labour. I think 35-6 weeks sounds do-able in that case. There is a hospital which I'd be fine at about 45 mins away from hotel (branch of the one I'll be registered at in Bangkok) if the shit kicks off suddenly. Tho I am not expecting that for first birth!

I have no glow. I have a face rash and total exhaustion. I glowed for about a week after I got back from holiday at 12 weeks, but I think that was to do with the holiday rather than the hormones!

Would hope scan has gone ok.

gaggiagirl · 28/07/2015 13:30

bat normal! My bump positively vibrates some times.

Niffertiti · 28/07/2015 13:31

Would cross post, very glad to hear about your blob! It's an amazing feeling seeing it really in there isn't it!

Niffertiti · 28/07/2015 13:32

Ooh would leap year edd! You'll have to stick to that, it would be v cool!
