Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 34th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 33rd grads fred is here.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Reading back through!

Peanut butt - gross
Carbs - yum
5 mile runs - wow! Impressive :)
House purchases - fantastic! Very jealous!!!
Fleur - maternity nurse sounds good! How you getting on?
MrsT - my she just came to the scan appointments not the others
Early scan - totally worth it for me as I had suspect ectopic first time round and so it was great to know everything ok
Sky - you ok? Sorry you had a bad day :(
Toast - 28 weeks!?! Wow! That's flown Smile
Indigo - fully baked, hooray!

Watched OBEM yesterday - still not as good as normal this series and lots of ELCS and purple pushing. Hmmm...

RhiannonElward · 24/07/2015 09:22

Sorry for the delayed post again but it's been another busy few days. I had my nephew staying, my mother's birthday day out and another consultant appointment. So glad to be able to spend the day at home today, we've no plans whatsoever Smile

Jelly your house sounds amazing, and so lovely that you're making a massive family home of it.

La good luck and do whatever you need to do. I think just the pessary will be enough to kick things off if you choose induction so go for it if it's getting you down. Thinking of you Smile

Not much news here but I am officially going for vbac now, am booked in for a scan to check baby's size and position at 36 weeks though which I'm pretty suspicious about. My previous babies have weighed 6lb 2 and 6lb 3 so I'm surprised he's bothered to check my third won't be strangely large. As for position, they can check that by hand surely, and there's time for baby to move at that point, isn't there? Baby is head down already too. I love a good scan but there's a bit of me that thinks they're trying to find problems that aren't there Hmm

LaLaLaaaa · 24/07/2015 09:23

Peanut butter not peanut butt - ha ha!!!

RhiannonElward · 24/07/2015 10:12

Purple that OBEM was a bit creepy wasn't it? I've had two sections and it's fine, you won't feel anything except pulling and people rooting around in your gut. It doesn't hurt but it is very very weird.

Fleurchamp · 24/07/2015 10:56

Morning all

We had a much better night and I feel like a new woman Grin

I even popped to the coffee shop at the end of the road for a coffee on my own! And then felt guilty about it... I am so far behind texts and emails from people, I used to scoff at people who said they didn't have time to do stuff with a baby Smile but I sat and caught up which has made me feel so much better.

la that baby is so comfy in there! You poor thing Flowers

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 24/07/2015 11:05

LA good to hear you in such good spirits and thanks for asking, yes am fine. A bit sneezy but fine!

Peanut butter is lush. Am personally crazy about cheddar. Can't get enough of it. Also, all the meats.

Sending a round of Flowers and Cake and Brew round to all. Happy Friday!

jellypi3 · 24/07/2015 11:07

i'm just obsesed with food at the moment. Went out for a steak last night. Had it medium well, no pink in the middle but got a rib-eye so was still tender. Devoured it!

RhiannonElward · 24/07/2015 11:13

mmmmm steak....good choice Jelly. I had BBQ pork steaks last night for tea with new potatoes, poppy seed bread and salad. Toffee cake for pudding. The absolute best side effect of pregnancy is enjoying food so much more. My mouth is watering just thinking about the possible options for lunch Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 24/07/2015 11:19

I'm the opposite Rhi, food makes my mouth water in a "going to be sick" sort of way only.

RhiannonElward · 24/07/2015 11:20

Is anyone else struggling with needing a pee all the time? I went out for the day on Wednesday and needed a pee the whole time, regardless of whether I'd just been or not. This morning has been the same. I had my urine checked at the hospital yesterday and nothing showed, do they automatically dip test for infection? I don't think it is infection, it doesn't sting it just feels like a full bladder all the time. It's bloody annoying mostly and I haven't had it before during either pregnancy.

RhiannonElward · 24/07/2015 11:24

Cross post Honey, sorry about that. Hope you come out the other side of that nausea very soon and get to enjoy the whole new dimension that is feasting while upduffed. It's awesome Grin

jellypi3 · 24/07/2015 11:25

I always need to pee rhi, i dread drinking water some times because i know 30 mins after drinking it's another trip to the loo!

honey sorry you're suffering with MS :( I thought mine had all but gone but the last two days it's ramped up again, this morning I retched getting of the train and yesterday brushing my teeth. They lied when they said it gets better after 12 weeks!!

CountryGal4 · 24/07/2015 11:37

rhi try leaning forward while you wee. Apparently when pregnant it can be difficult to fully empty your bladder and tilted forward apparently helps

Toast85 · 24/07/2015 11:37

I know 28 weeks right??! Madness! Not quite sure where this year is going, it'll be October before I know it and then I'll be in a newborn haze until Christmas at least, I suppose growing a baby is my freaking awesome achievement of 2015 but I feel like there were lots of other things I should have been doing as well but haven't yet got round to! I'm in awe of anyone who's managing to move house before they have a baby.

I've not had that Rhi. I quite often have to go back for a second wee about 5 mins after the first though, don't feel I've emptied my bladder properly. More often in the evenings weirdly.

Gx for things kicking off today la. Keep your eyes on the prize! You win a medal for the world's comfiest uterus Grin

Peanut butt(er) is the bees knees Grin and pis that drink looks too good.

I'm off to town for some baby bits and then a food shop, going to go to Lidl and I've not been before, quite excited about what new interesting treats I might find! Though I am planning a very vegetabley dinner of stir fry as I feel my veg intake has been dreadful recently five a day? More like 3 Shock

Toast85 · 24/07/2015 11:40

Cross post with country- I'll try that!
DH thinks it's coz I don't concentrate properly when I wee don't tell him he may have a point as I often check fab/mn when on the loo

CountryGal4 · 24/07/2015 11:43

I read it somewhere just yesterday as I've been having the same problem. Think people are work think I have "issues" haha

Purpleball · 24/07/2015 12:00

Sorry to hear MS is still being a bitch. I had a bit yesterday and today but just nausea so I sat back down again Smile

Anaesthetist was fine. She looked in my mouth and asked questions. I was a bit concerned she didn't know about ELCS. I'll make sure it's on my notes next week when I see the consultant.

It's the anniversary of Black Friday here and I'm feeling a bit sad. A year ago I lost my first baby, crashed the car probably shouldn't have been driving as I was so upset and got home on a recovery truck at 2am. The worst day of my life for definite. I'm trying not to dwell on it and very glad to be pregnant or it would be so much worse. I don't think anyone ever forgets their losses though Confused

RhiannonElward · 24/07/2015 12:03

Thanks for the tip Country, I'll try that next time I go, which will probably be within the next 5mins Hmm

Toast I know! It's going so quickly. We're technically term in 9 weeks and I've bought 3 sleepsuits and one pack of nappies Shock. Best get my shit together I think.

RhiannonElward · 24/07/2015 12:05

Flowers Purple, that sounds horrific. Treat yourself kindly today.

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 24/07/2015 12:54

Thanks chat, carrot I'm going to stop obsessing about number now which is convenient as since I'm not scheduled for any more observation until the early scan next month I can't do anything about it anyway
Really glad you lot were talking about food while I was offline. I just had a sandwich with avo, roast beef, cheddar, and mayo and it was great.
Congratulations Jelly that's excellent news! We're in the process of selling and buying and it is awfully stressful. I should clarify, we haven't yet sold and we haven't yet bought, but people have looked and we have looked. It is very tedious, come to think of it. Your place sounds fab. Can we come live there, please?
belated joins magnum queue in asda
rhi congrats on the vbac! That's amazing! I really hope it goes smoothly for you and there are no last-minute turnaround concerns from any of the doctors. Oh and FWIW I bought most things only about 3-4 weeks before DC arrived. It was a reasonable decision because I realised that (a) a naked baby wearing only a nappy or wrapped in a muslin is much easier to care for and (b) they grow really fast.
purple many Flowers for helping you get through today!
Still thinking of you la. Keep expecting to take a peek at the thread and see an announcement of your pushing. Blush

LaLaLaaaa · 24/07/2015 12:55

Flowers purple I know it's very hard on the trigger days like due date or anniversary. Focus on your lovely baby growing inside you just now if you can, you're gonna to be a mummy this year.

Rhi the peeing thing got worse for me at about your stage then settled a bit only to return at 34 weeks. I'd echo what toast said - try to completely empty your bladder each time by leaning forward

Just had another sweep - I'm old hat now I just hop up well sort of clamber with difficulty due to size and let it all hang out ready for inspection! Glamour! It's looking favourable for spontaneous labour and she said even if not then it's unlikely I'd need more than pessary for induction which means water birth still ok. Cervix is soft, anterior and long, baby's head is right down and I'm 2-3cm dilated.

She prescribed a pub lunch for me and dh to chill out which we are very happy about! We are off to nice pub in town. Dh has taken the next two days off work so now I can relax knowing he's here. That really helps.

Just had to ask my dbro and sil to butt out. Aibu? Sil is in USA and not at all scientifically minded. She tends to believe whatever folk tell her. She had baby a month ago and was 11 days overdue. She had already had sweep and acupuncture so likely baby was ready to come at any point regardless. She apparently was recommended to take castor oil by her doctor and did so, going into labour the next day.

They have sent me message after message the last few days, telling me I need to take castor oil. I've told them multiple times now that I am not wanting to do this - it can cause diarrhoea and vomiting which can not only cause dehydration to mum and baby (resulting in an unwell mum and stressed baby) but also mean you feel sick and have the shits whilst in labour. I can't imagine that's a pleasant experience!

I've now said for the 5th time can they please stop messaging me about it, that it was more likely she was just ready to go into labour than anything to do with castor oil and reminded them that I'm a biologist and have read up on research into it.

I'm hoping they will just leave it now as I'm trying desperately to stay polite but it is v wearing repeating myself.

Fleur - hooray for escaping momentarily from house! Have you decided on a name for wee one yet? I know you don't want to post it on here - would you put it on fbk group? No worries if not! Completely your decision :)

Dulcet - how goes it? It's nice to hear the nct group is helping post birth. What name are you trying today? I think people are going to think we are trying to be posh with our 3 names but we like them!

Honey - silver lining , at least it's a reminder of being pg, but you have my sympathies it's not nice having MS :(

MollyBloomYes · 24/07/2015 13:45

Loving the positive attitude la, you are an absolute hero! And yeah, castor oil complete myth for all the reasons you described, amazed that your sil's doctor suggested it tbh!

Jelly exciting news about the house! Very jealous, we're so far off being able to even think about buying (if we ever can!). It sounds absolutely perfect for you!

Wil, we do go to toddler groups but a lot of mums there are already in quite established groups so it's difficult to crack into them. I'm also great at small talk at these things but rubbish at getting anything off the ground friendship wise, it's like bloody dating all over again! Afraid nct very boring, too many strong characters who were more similar than they realised, sniping over Facebook that then grew and grew until It. Was. War! I sat on the sidelines with another lady like this Shock

I also have an annoying bladder and a love of all things food. Especially meat. Any meat. Have become rampantly carnivorous!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 24/07/2015 13:46

So we are on team....

BOY !!

Had a rush of excitement/pride followed by a small dip of disappointment - which I'm certain would have been the case no matter what sex it turned out to be! DH told me the only way nature could satisfy me would be with boy/girl twins, and I think it's true! I want it all!! Grin

I was so sure it was a girl as well!! We are both really happy - the only slight twinge of sadness I have is that I won't be able to buy any absolutely BEAUTIFUL dresses/tutu's, etc. For some reason, girl's always seem to get the best deal on clothes no matter what their age!

Rhi - yes to the constant need to wee. It's been a constant symptom since day one for me.

La - if she texts again, you could always just lie and say "I tried the first time you mentioned it and FUCK ALL HAPPENED BECAUSE IT'S USELESS". Or you know, be an adult about it like you are at the moment. Sorry to hear you're still waiting though.

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 24/07/2015 13:53

O-o-ooh I like gouda's suggestion of texting back saying you tried it just to keep them quiet.
And congratulations gouda. You can still buy him a dress of course. Breaking down gender barriers is totally 2015! Grin
