Rufus, you dirty bitch. I was just reading from a Chinese menu when I saw your pustule comment. Suffice to say I've decided against the pea soup.

Purdiepipesdown · 13/07/2015 19:43

I have to concur with Badgie about the soporific Cyclizine, Jelly. It's shit at easing the nausea but puts you flat out for two hours in which time the sickness has passed. So yeah...I guess it does work Grin

SweetCharlotteRose · 13/07/2015 19:45

We are meant to be going on holiday in a few weeks. In two minds whether to go or not. I will be 14 weeks. It will be very hot (Spain) and I'm type 1 diabetic. Ds will be disappointed if we don't go.
At the moment I'm being sick around ten times a day so that needs to have stopped for me to even contemplate it.

fififolle · 13/07/2015 19:45

Could I join you? After a slightly bumpy start, I now have a sticky bean, due on Valentine's Day! I've been lurking but so far too wary to join.
Waves to Brummie and Purdwig- what's with all the name changes lady?! I can't keep up! It explains why you didn't get my PM. I messaged you at the weekend to let you know about my scan. I caved in and booked a private scan which showed a little bean, measuring spot on for dates with a lovely strong heart beat. Time to start relaxing a bit now Smile.

birdbrain21 · 13/07/2015 19:48

Raviolog sounds like you might be near me although salford is a big place I'm on the border! What hospital are you going to?

fififolle · 13/07/2015 19:48

What a gorgeous scan picture SweetCharlotteRose, congratulations!

birdbrain21 · 13/07/2015 19:53

charlotte congratulations that's a fantastic picture! Hope you start being less sick soon

LillianMakesAMinion · 13/07/2015 20:00

congrats charlotte! look at that perfect bean!

I am off on holiday too and with a 4 day hike (no running water and camping out!!). Signed up before I was with bean and everything already paid for in advance. I'm lucky enough not to be hit (yet) with the chunderitis but am worried about my energy levels and being out of breath.

Anyone else have random paranoia?

I have this thing about falling over (must be from too much daytime TV or movie dramas in the 90s about women falling and having an mc). Today I was having an argument with the clothes rack and almost lost my balance trying to get it up and my heart was beating so fast because I almost fell over!

RattyCatty · 13/07/2015 20:01

charlotte that's a wonderful photo!

I would go to doc if I were you to see if they can give you anything. Would be a shame to miss holiday but I agree, not much point going if you're going to feel so unwell.

SweetCharlotteRose · 13/07/2015 20:05

Thanks everyone :-)

I've got some anti emetics from the gp but dh isn't happy for me to take them. However another few days like the last few and I will have no choice because I think I will end up in hospital like last time otherwise.

Just been scrolling back to read through everyone's news as I've not been coming on the thread very much. Seems like mainly good news :-) quite a few happy scans reported.
Purdie I'm out from under my rock! Wink

Brummiegirl15 · 13/07/2015 20:15

Hah see Charlotte we told you there was a baby in there!!!!! Grin

Purdie I wouldn't judge too fast, Waitrose isn't a posh habit, I used to to live in Birmingham city centre where Waitrose was the only supermarket you didn't need a stab vest for.

So my colleagues used to take the piss out of me - these very colleagues who live the Royal sodding Borough of Sutton Coldfield no less.

Trust me, Tesco in Ladywood - you need life insurance and a Kevlar vest before venturing in there

Plus I knew I was by myself tonight and wanted a decent ready meal Grin

Purdiepipesdown · 13/07/2015 20:17

Charlotte!!! Wow. Wow. Wow. What a beauty that little nipper is! For frig's sake take the meds and don't upset your ts, goodness knows you could do with a holiday, missus. Please be brave and go.

Lillian, I really laughed at your post! Sorry. Yes to the paranoia: I'm terrified that my chippy will be closed one evening due to a family death or summat.

Fifi darling, I'm sorry for the name changes but I need to keep MI5 on their toes, right? Plus, I still haven't served that full prison sentence from five years ago for trafficking gypsies. What utterly glorious news about your scan! How many weeks now, sugartits?

Purdiepipesdown · 13/07/2015 20:19

Oh Brummie, I'm howling at the supermarket stab vests! All the staff wear them at my local Poundland.

MayFlowers16 · 13/07/2015 20:25

Great scan news Charlotte and Mawsy although I'm sorry you're feeling so poorly Charlotte

StepAway I did ring the hospital on Friday but they just said there was a backlog and I may have to wait another 2 weeks before I get a scan date, ie when I will be 13 weeks. They don't give a hoot about my age or mc so we've booked a private scan for this Saturday: scan, nuchal, bloods etc. £175 and a two hour round trip but worth it for my peace of mind I think. Sods law will of course mean that I will get a letter through the day after.

I even dreamt last night that I had gone into early labour and was trying to tell them that I hadn't even had my scan yet

Not only is the nausea easing slightly but I can finally enjoy chocolate again - happy days Grin

Welcome fifi, your name is familiar from the ttc boards. Smile Good to see you on the other side!

raviolig · 13/07/2015 20:28

Birdbrain I am going to Salford Royal for my scan but will probably have baby in St Mary's. Dd was born in the Royal but they shut the maternity unit 2 weeks before ds was born and because I had complications with dd I wasn't happy to go to a midwife unit. I did end up having ds in the midwife bit at St Mary's (water birth) so will probably go for that option again. I want to have a look around Salford first though because it is very close to us so much easier to get to in a rush!

fififolle · 13/07/2015 20:30

I'm 9 weeks Purds. The scan (on Friday) put me at 8weeks 5days. Feeling lovely and nauseous. How are you doing?

fififolle · 13/07/2015 20:35

Hi May! That sounds a real pain about your scan. In my area, the scan is booked at the booking appointment; it's a shame that the care isn't standardised.

Fifi hello chicken!!! You found us. Welcome to February.

I tell you one thing about progesterone - I can't wait to finish it, because I cannot stop trumping!!! Hmm

rallytog1 · 13/07/2015 20:47

Fab news charlotte! I hope you finally believe you are pregnant Wink

If I were you, I'd go on the holiday. You just don't know when you'll get the chance again. Dh and I were all set to go on one last jaunt when a bereavement scuppered our plans, and now I really wish we'd made more of an effort to reschedule quickly, as now it'll be 18+ years before we get a holiday on our own again!

fififolle · 13/07/2015 20:50

Brummie! Now that you mention it, I did notice quite a breeze as we passed through Birmingham yesterday Wink. DH tells me that I wake him in the middle of the night with ahem side effects, how rude!

LillianMakesAMinion · 13/07/2015 20:54

purdie a closed until further notice sign would def be something to lose sleep over!!!

MayFlowers16 I'm tempted to get a private scan too instead of waiting. I've also had worry dreams. I dreamt I was soooo clueless with the new bub. In my dream:

a. I casually tap formula from the tin instead of measuring it out
b. I was using a bowl instead of a bottle and
c. I used a bowl I'd just had my yoghurt in to save some washing...

Confused
monkerina · 13/07/2015 20:54

Charlotte, what a lovely pic! Take the damn antiemetics and tell DH he can have an opinion on them when he's puking 10x a day. They wouldn't give you anything that would do any harm.

Welcome Fifi Smile

I hate you all with the food talk. I'd eaten my healthy dinner (after a day spent stuffing iced buns and twirls) and was just about ready to retire but now I'm desperate for bangers n mash (prefer charcoalised cheap sausages myself, not sure what that says about me) n gravy n ketchup. And tizer, the good stuff from the late 80s before they removed all the harmful chemicals. Dammit.

MayFlowers16 · 13/07/2015 20:55

Another fart-pants here too Blush
