Good morning everyone, thanks for opening a new thread jellypi and giving it a much more pleasant name! Wink

Good luck to those with scans coming up. I had my booking in appointment this morning. Information overload!

rallytog1 · 13/07/2015 12:16

Yay purdie - loads of us seem to have our scans that day.

MayFlowers16 · 13/07/2015 12:43

Feeling very Envy at everyone's upcoming scans. 11 weeks and no date yet. Sad

Is anyone else starting to feel a bit better? I'm definitely less nauseous and not so bone-achingly tired anymore. Still along way to go though!

Spanoo · 13/07/2015 13:04

Good luck today Mawsy and Pixie - thinking of you both.

Mayflower I'm glad to hear it gets better. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and so fed up of feeling nauseous and exhausted NON-STOP. First pregnancy so no idea what's going to happen - just praying it will ease soon.

Nomont I would agree with your mum! There's much less tension now and hopefully it was just a wobble. There is a lot going on for us this year so the overwhelm is shared by both of us, I just need him to be a bit stronger right now. Thanks ladies.

CalypsoLilt · 13/07/2015 13:10

cremedecacao and I are not on the stats :( how do we add ourselves?

StockingFullOfCoal · 13/07/2015 13:12

I'm starving and nauseous and everything tastes like ash. Wasted so much food in the last week.

If I don't have my scan date by 10 weeks I'll be making a phone call, I have little faith in the admin staff round here. Always losing stuff.

Stepawayfromthezebras · 13/07/2015 13:12

May so rubbish you don't have a scan date yet, have you chased it up with them?

I'm feeling better, I've not had bad ms just slight queasiness but that's gone now and my sore boobs have completely disappeared. Still needing the occasional nap though!

I had my booking in appointment this morning, my blood tests from my booking in for booking in appointment (?) were all ok and now I'm counting down the days till my scan on the 30th Smile

LillianMakesAMinion · 13/07/2015 13:14

Goodluck mawsy

stocking glad to hear you and DH are talking again.

Booking in appointment tomorrow - taking the whole day off with DH so might have a nice lunch after.

No scan date yet either but hope they'll give me one tomorrow - 10+0 today

Spanoo · 13/07/2015 13:15

Can I be added to the stats please?

My details are:
30
Due 20/02/2016
Weeks 9
DC 0
London
Symptoms - nausea, tiredness, hungry, bad skin, constipation, general grottiness
Scan 04/08/2015

Thanks
(or I'll do it if someone can let me know how?)

clarabellski · 13/07/2015 13:16

mayflower The exhaustion is definitely easing off (hurrah!). I'm tired but it is not that all-encompassing shattered feeling that I had between weeks 5 - 8. I'm 9w5d just now.

I've been trying all of the techniques for keeping the nausea at bay and they seem to be working (or my body is just adjusting). It's always there like a low-level hangover but I've learned to deal with it. There are still moments when it hits you with a bang, but they are less often now.

Calypso the link to the stats sheet is docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dWmvdD9SkvPQqKn7rpFHazgufmda2FOTMtL093cZFj8/edit#gid=0

If you can't edit it (I think it plays up on mobile phones) then let me know your details and I can add them for you.

clarabellski · 13/07/2015 13:19

@ spanoo I've added your details to the sheet

@ zebras I had my booking appointment this morning and we have same scan date! Spooky!

Brummiegirl15 · 13/07/2015 13:29

Purdie I've got my 12 wk scan next Monday too, I'll be. 11+5

Booking appt on Thursday. - finally!!!! Midwife is coming to mine

Rufus200 · 13/07/2015 13:31

Pixie Fingers crossed for you

Purdie and Stocking glad you are both sorting things out, forgiveness is difficult but is so important.

Banana I'm going to a family wedding on Friday, it is a 5 hour drive but we are leaving on Thursday so we can take it slow. I'm not sure I will actually make it to the party and at the moment just aiming to get to the ceremony.

I'm feeling horrendous at the moment 10w+1. The rain is definitely giving me a pressure headache and makes my nausea far worse. It is supposed to rain all week here.

I have my NIFTY test and scan tomorrow. DH still hasn't told any of his family and is refusing to until after the 12 week scan, it is getting really hard to hide it now. I keep on bumping into members of his family in town as they all live round here.

I am 24 spots on my face, 5 on my neck, 9 on my chest and I haven't even looked at my back. I look like I have scabby chicken pox. My skin just doesn't seem to want to heal and I've got eczema all round my mouth. It is just so depressing. My acne was never this bad even at 15 when I got put on medication. I'm going to look stunning at the wedding on Friday with my bloated pot belly, greasy hair, pustules and eczema!

Mawsymoo · 13/07/2015 13:36

Quick update - all went well. Baby measured 12+2 but based on the previous scan and my thoughts on conception date we've agreed a due date of 25th Jan which puts me at 12 weeks today. I'm in Ireland so no NT test as such but the consultant remarked it was "very thin" so that's good.

Spanoo · 13/07/2015 13:38

Thanks clarabelski.

Rufus I have a similar issue with my skin. The skin around my lips is all dry and scabby and wont heal no matter how much cream I put on it!

jellypi3 · 13/07/2015 13:39

congrats mawsy :) puts you way ahead of the rest of us!!

OP posts:
birdbrain21 · 13/07/2015 13:49

mawsy congratulations. I'm not the first in the group any more, I'm due 26th but haven't had my scan yet to confirm that's on friday eek!
My dh told some of his colleagues last week when they were out together. When I went mad at him he said "so and so said I thought you don't tell people till after the scan" I said she's right you don't! He did apologise though after.

clarabellski · 13/07/2015 13:51

Congratulations mawsymoo! Cake Did they let you have a picture?

Brummiegirl15 · 13/07/2015 13:56

I admit I've told some close friends and my family. But I've had a really dark traumatic year and these people have been there for me.

They are anxiously waiting for the scan date too...

This week is going to go soooo slowly

However one of my very close friends, her 3rd IVF attempt has just failed and I'm trying to be sensitive to how she feels. I don't want to step back because i remember how shit that made me feel when people did it to me, but I also don't want to be a constant reminder

Spanoo · 13/07/2015 14:09

Congrats mawsy fab news! Star

Clarabelski which techniques have you found helpful for nausea? I just bought some wristbands but I don't think they're doing much... Confused

I've also told some close friends and family, and I've found it's good to have the support.

CalypsoLilt · 13/07/2015 14:12

Yay I added myself to the spreadsheet (love a good spreadsheet!) and I got slot 69!! Wink

thanks clarabellski

goneswimming · 13/07/2015 14:30

Just had our early scan today at 7+6, measuring at 7 weeks and little heartbeat flickering away! Ridiculously emotional, and so proud of our little bean for getting this far! Crazy, or just hormonal?!

jellypi3 · 13/07/2015 15:19

Not crazy gone, just amazing :)

I've told close friends and family and told my boss after my 10 week scan.

Rally and Phoenix - glad I'm not the only one considering ELCS this early then! Thanks for your comments. I don't feel like I'd be 'missing out' per se by not VBACing, as I actually went into labour the morning of my ELCS last time - contractions 4 minutes apart by the time I went into theatre, so I know I'm not missing anything contraction-wise!

So lovely to hear of scans coming up, I can't wait to see the little alien pictures. Smile
