What lovely scan news everyone! I am so jealous mine isn't until
5th August!!! The blood consultant wanted to scan my armpit to check clot has gone next week, do you reckon I could convince them to do check bean while they are there?!

OMG I couldn't take my size up jeggings anymore, they were cutting me in half so tight, pull up my baggy tracksuit bottoms and they look like jeggings!!! I thought they would last me all pregnancy. This is seriously not good!!!

Rufus, I'm sat on the train home wearing what appears to be a mini-skirt. It was definitely knee length when I left the house, but the bloat makes my skirts ride up.

Amazing scan pics!!

My scan was fine (apparently) but tech was all huffy I'd had an earlier scan that wasn't medical and she told me she doesn't do many baby scans (I went to a new clinic as I rebooked and had to take what I could get) I was shown a brief view of the baby at the end. Tech wouldn't tell me if baby was measuring on dates maybe she just didn't know?! But I told her I was worried at the end and she asked how far along I was (9+5) and she said that was about right. I have an appt with my GP this Thursday to find out what I've always been told at the scan!!

Oh well! My sickness has been a bit better these past few days at 10+2 so that is great!!

I am going to get out my maternity clothes this week. rufus I am being cut in half by all my bottoms (even pjs!!). littleoak I lol at your skirt riding up into a mini!! Same happened to me!! Was mid thigh once over my bump But I couldn't do the zip up so just gave up at home.

Congratulations to everyone who has had good scans today. Fab news! Can't wait for mine. Still 3 weeks to go.
Dreading having to go mat clothes shopping they're always more expensive and never seem to have my size I'm a shortie :)

Great scans everyone! Mine is on Thursday, I'm 12 weeks tomorrow which feels like a bit of a milestone. My belly seems to have 'popped' yesterday, it literally happened overnight, is this normal?

Evening everyone! Gosh, 3 pages onwards in one day after its been so quiet! Well you've all timed it well because I need your collective wisdom.
My doctors surgery is being a right pain, they don't seem to speak to the midwife service at all. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. I rang today because I've heard nothing from a midwife yet for a first appointment- and as a result got a text for an appointment on August 13th when I'll be 12+2. My question is, who gives me my scan appointment? Because for the nuchal test that scan has to be between 11+2 and 14+1- is having the booking in appointment so late likely to mean my first scan won't be booked by the midwife till too late?

DH is struggling with my mood swings! The oven proof dish dinner was in just smashed in the oven, I had a complete melt down. DH thinks I am seriously overreacting! Then I screamed at him for trying to help me wrap cling film round some food. I just can't control myself at the moment, everything is the end of the world!

goneswimming I think that it varies from area to area. In my area (sw london) when you are referred by the GP it automatically generates a booking appointment and a nuchal scan appoint with bloods. They are sorted out by different departments. Clear as mud eh? .

I am getting plump around the middle and on the thighs. I find this pretty tough as I am usually pretty athletic. I am eating like a horse to try and minimise the blooming awful nausea. Please let the feeling lift soon! We have a two week camping holiday starting next week and I am silently weeping at the thought.

Wow, can't believe we're seeing scans that look like babies rather than beans! Lovely, I can't wait for my scan- next Friday seems a long time away though.

Think it varies by area swiping my GPs booked me in with midwife then she rang the hosp to book scan while I was there.

Glad it's all got a bit busier again!
