So sorry Clumsy.... Missed your earlier post too. It will be well. Fingers crossed for you.

clarabellski · 15/07/2015 13:03

Clumsy, it sounds like you are getting great care and getting support from your family should help too Flowers

We're here too whenever you need to share your worries or concerns (even if it is just to offer you Cake)

Stepawayfromthezebras · 15/07/2015 13:04

Oh Clumsy that must be so stressful, but at least they've diagnosed it and will be keeping an eye on you. And aspirin truly is a wonder drug! I'm convinced that starting to take it helped me conceive after nearly 2 years fruitless TTC'ing (not the cervical polyp removal, hysteroscopy or clomid prescription - oh no - I'm pinning it all on the asprin Smile)

bigfox DHs brother was an Olympic athlete, and his brothers wife still is. I live vicariously through them, they're hardly ever around.

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/07/2015 13:30

Urgh stupid phone. Quite a jet set lifestyle but I'm a hermit so I would think that

10 Minute Solutions is the one I've gone for, should arrive tomorrow via Prime. I love their other workout DVDs.

clarabellski · 15/07/2015 13:33

I added another column to the stats sheet for blue/pink/yellow in case anyone wants to record this. It can easily be remove if majority don't want it.

Thanks bigfox, I will certainly keep you updated! Long Tall Sally only have 1 pair of bootleg trousers, 1 bootleg jean and 1 legging. And I'm not a fan of bootlegs. I'm sure they used to have more of a range, it's quite disappointing.

Right, better go off and do some work I have been seriously procrastinating this morning!!!!

Boobear1983 · 15/07/2015 13:45

haquoi it's probably best not to tell me what your midwife said! Mine encouraged it and said it's great for pregnant women, just to stay out of the steam room and sauna!

On the topic of gender, i won't be finding out. This is my first and only child, dh has two boys which live at ours half the month, we decided 3 was enough! We thought as we're only doing it once it will be a nice suprise. I had considered finding on a practical level, just so we could buy things but we've decided to buy gender neutral things.

Clumsy, that must be so worrying, but as others said at least you will be monitored and get extra care now.

Nomontagues how fantastic! So lovely to know the gender already

Clara and BigFox I am also 6 ft. It was a bit of a nightmare last time. I got a couple of pairs of trousers from tallgirls maternity but generally lived in dresses. Seraphine maternity leggings were pretty long too

Onecurrantbun · 15/07/2015 14:37

I found New Look best for jeans as they are cheap and come in a few different lengths, plus over/under bump. I never got out of my nursing tops and most are maternity tops too, so I'll be very very fed up of them by the time I stop bfing this baby!

I am trying to night wean DD2 and she has started sleeping through! Only took 18 months... re lifting and ligaments etc I didn't worry about it when pregnant with DD2 (DD1 Was 2.2 when she was born) and I'm still carrying 18 month old in a.sling now. She is quite petite but must be at least 20lb.

My wee has been sugar puffs but never popcorn!

Welcome Beloved! Looking forward to scan pics in a few days
Thanks to everyone who has shared theirs so far! I'm having my next scan at 11+5, so a couple of weeks to wait.

Onecurrantbun · 15/07/2015 14:41

Clumsy, I am so sorry I missed you off. You are most welcome to share your knowledge, concerns here or use it as an escape from frantic Googling. Science is a wonderful thing and I hope there is something which can make life a little easier for you and your bean. Great big hugs x

QuackQuackers · 15/07/2015 15:20

zedbra don’t get your hopes up. Most of the shops have very little maternity in store – even at the likes of the Trafford Centre (in my experience). Last time I ended up ordering 8 pairs of jeans in a variety of styles and sizes to be delivered to a Next store, just so could use their changing room and take 7 pairs back for an immediate refund!

I’m also a short arse. I definitely prefer over the bump though (I may already be wearing my maternity work trousers and jeans…….at 8 weeks(!) How embarrassing!

no that is amazing! I cannot wait for mine. But I’m not booked into FMC until 30th July. Last time I did Harmony, but didn’t find out the gender. Who did you have to ask? I think we are going to find out again. Though I’m quite happy not to I think DH will insist this time. I always said I would second time around so we could explain it to the eldest child, but DD1 is a lot younger than I expected her to be during my pregnancy and so she won’t understand anyway. So not sure I know see the advantage.

Stepawayfromthezebras · 15/07/2015 15:47

Makes sense quack there can't be that many preggo people at any one time to justify giving them much floorspace. It'll be a short schlep then Smile

NoMontagues · 15/07/2015 15:54

quack they asked me as part of the questionnaire, I'm sure they'll ask you, if not have a look at the form when you sign it and ask for the gender box to be ticked / or not ticked depending on what you decide!

I didn't find out with DD (who is now 14) but did with DS. DD is my child from a previous relationship, we were on our own together for a long time and I think if I was having another daughter then DD and I would need to explore that before the baby was born.

That and various practical reasons are why I wanted to know. And impatience!

StillRising · 15/07/2015 16:34

Hello!

I'm due 1st of February, joining with trepidation as had a loss earlier this year, I'm 11 weeks now so just counting down the days to my 12 weeks scan (next Tuesday)
This will be baby number 2! Have DS 3yo already :)

BadgieBear · 15/07/2015 17:10

clumsy - just been catching up on the thread and wanted to add my well wishes at what sounds like a worrying time for you. I'm glad to hear you're being well looked after, we are all here to offer whatever support you need.

Hello to all the newcomers and congratulations to everyone with happy news!

clumsypots · 15/07/2015 17:20

Thank you for all of your support it means a lot. Mom and dad were really happy for us and will come to my other appointments with me that my dh can't make so at least I won't be on my own for any more news. Feeling slightly better about it now, at least I know what is happening with my body (ish).

I didn't even know you could find out the sex of the baby this early! Think I will be on team yellow though as I was with my DD as I like having the suprise and also my sisters have millions of boy baby clothes to lend me (if they are not too expensive to ship from all corners of the world).

NoMontagues · 15/07/2015 18:03

clumsy glad to hear you're feeling a bit better and have good support.

Yes you can find out the sex as an add-on to the harmony (and similar tests).

It's just a blood test but they can detect the baby's chromosomes in your blood from 10 weeks pg.

goneswimming · 15/07/2015 18:32

Omg the nausea hit with a vengeance today, I realize now that everything before was just mild queasiness. It's been a horrible horrible day.
Clothes-wise, I'm struggling! Nothing fits, my boobs are enormous and I was already a bit tight in my jeans and now they're ridiculous! I can't bring myself to buy mat clothes till I get to 12 weeks because I'm so superstitious that if I do, I'll hex my bean ????

Rufus200 · 15/07/2015 18:43

Montagues did you have to pay extra for sex identification? At my place with Harmony it cost extra but it was included in the Panorama and Nifty.

goneswimming I don't want to buy anything until at least 12w too. Was sorely tempted by a nursery set though, in mammas and pappa's, reduced by 60% in their sale to £599. Sale ends this Saturday, 12w scan is next Tuesday!!!
