Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

I was a vegetarian who craved meat when pregnant with my first. I did end up eating it Blush

I'm glad I did though, I was surrounded by life long meat eaters who probably would have thought it amusing to feed it to my child so I wouldn't have been able to fight it.

Feel ill today, and it's just going to get worse Sad

QforCucumber · 13/07/2015 08:31

5 weeks today - and the nausea is definitely starting,

wanted to keep things quiet at work but not too sure how long I can keep this up without telling anyone.

maybebabybee · 13/07/2015 09:06

wow this bus is moving fast! welcome all newbies I missed over the weekend.

I'm 5+1 today. Fairly symptom free really. I keep sort of thinking I feel sick but I think it might just be my imagination. Boobs hurt but not a ridiculous amount. I think my only real symptom is tiredness - but I'm a pretty tired person in general!

Waiting for my 3+ on cb digital...still stuck on 2-3 weeks at the moment but I'm trying not to stress about that.

BeautifulLiar · 13/07/2015 09:16

maybebaby at 5+1 I thought I wasn't pregnant. Now at 5+4 I feel pretty crap! don't know which is worse Grin

QforCucumber · 13/07/2015 09:32

I'm with you on the digi test thing maybe mine showed 1-2 last Tuesday, this weekend was 2-3,

really want to buy another pack and do another this weekend just to confirm its moving on but dp says I'm not allowed, what does he even know?!

maybebabybee · 13/07/2015 09:41

Qfor I'm itching to buy another digi test as I've used both mine up now but I'm going to attempt to hold out for another few days...

I just hide my testing habit from DP as he thinks I'm nuts.

I really shouldn't test at all - there's stuff all over the internet about women driving themselves nuts because the digi tests get stuck on 2-3 for like 3 weeks...

With my MC the weeks thing did get stuck, but it was stuck on 1-2 when I was nearly 6 weeks pregnant, so I knew something wasn't right then.

marmitemofo · 13/07/2015 09:51

5+1 here and symptoms haven't really started yet; have had a few waves of nausea but wondering if I imagined it as they were gone quickly. On the one hand I'd like to feel more symptoms so that I 'feel' pregnant, but on the other hand, I remember having nausea with DD until 16 weeks, and I don't much fancy 11 weeks of wanting to be sick all the time Confused

I'm also a vegetarian and with DD didn't get any cravings for meat so managed without (though one of the first things people would ask me when I told them I was pregnant was whether I was craving meat!). If for some reason I had cravings for meat this time round, I would most likely just do it. I've been vegetarian for 6 years so it would be weird but if my body was asking for it, I'd cave in (clearly I am a bad veggie!).

I'm also really desperate to try a digi test, since I've used up all my internet cheapies. Did one yesterday and the line was so much stronger than last week so that has put my mind at rest. I do want to get a digi but it just seems like a waste of money and I would obsess over what it means so think I will just leave it and wait for the symptoms to start!

JoannaZZ · 13/07/2015 10:08

I'm 6+3 and have been feeling sick for a few days now. It's quite mild but it gets worse the hungrier I am so I am always either eating, thinking about food or thinking about how sick I feel Confused

I think I'm more tired than usual, but just like maybe I have always had the habit of napping or randomly falling asleep on the sofa so I don't know if I am more tired now.

Kittykitty05 · 13/07/2015 10:48

No sickness here, yet, at 6+3. As in the past I've had sickness which nearly hospitalised me, a pregnancy with no symptoms at all (both of which miscarried) I never know how I'll be. I will be so grateful tho to have a sick free pregnancy this time, much less chance of people knowing!

dobbythedoggy · 13/07/2015 11:36

Had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday afternoon. Cried down the phone to gp's receptionist this morning and managed to get an appointment almost straight away. Saw a locum who got me an appointment at the EPAU tomorrow morning. No bleeding or spotting since so really hoping for some good new tomorrow.

Have been exhausted all weekend so spent most of it in bed. Sickness has well and truely taken hold, rembering the joys! Food holds no appeal, can just about stomach the odd boiled sweet and sipping on a drink. Hoping these are all good signs.

QforCucumber · 13/07/2015 12:04

I've decided the nausea today isn't going to become full sickness for a while yet,

have an early bird meet and greet with the midwife this Thursday, then proper booking in appt on the 4th August - will be 8 weeks exactly that day. Not sure if I should wait until then to request the 9 week scan or ask on Thursday? I keep getting caught with excitement, and then refusing to allow it after the previous MC and its really bugging me.

Suppose work will have to know soon so I can ensure I get paid for the time off.

BeautifulLiar · 13/07/2015 12:17

I'm just getting a horrible taste in my mouth when I do eat.

I've got a cleaner coming round at 1 to see what she can get done in 2 hours, and she's starting on Tuesday 21st. I always said if I got pregnant again I'd hire a cleaner for the first 12 weeks. It's not cheap but it's essential for me as last time I couldn't do housework, and anyway, we're saving some money as we've already got a pram/cot/car seat/swing/bouncer/etc.

I rang the clinic the midwives work when I first found out. the receptionist said they'd ring me back to arrange my booking in appointment. I haven't heard anything yet, do you think i should ring back on Thursday? that'll be two weeks since I rang them, and I'll be 6 weeks.

maybebabybee · 13/07/2015 12:28

Qfor I feel exactly the same after my previous MC - get excited and then bring myself back down to earth.

My MC happened at 5+5 last time so I feel like if I can get past this Friday ok then I will be fine, which I know makes no sense whatsoever!!

I haven't even seen my GP yet, I just booked myself straight in with the midwife at the hospital. My booking appointment is August 12; don't have my 12 week scan date yet which is weird as with my MC they sent through the booking appt and 12 week scan date at the same time.

I'm going to see my GP on the 27th when I'll be just over 7 weeks, and will request an early scan. She said when I MC'd she'd refer me for one if I got pregnant again, which was very nice of her.

Kittykitty05 · 13/07/2015 12:46

They're really lax in my area with booking apps (kent). Last time it got to 11.5 weeks when I chased, them they realised they'd lost my form, scan was then late....
Dropped my form Thursday last week, with an important message to check about certain meds and was told they'd call asap but not heard back yet!

julesldn · 13/07/2015 13:07

Thanks kittykitty and joanna - the GP said 5th March so think I'll stick with that until told otherwise!

Got to go for a blood test today or tomorrow but hate them and worried I'll be sick because of nausea as well so have been putting it off. Bf can't come either as he's so busy at work - argh!

Hope everyone else is getting on O.K Smile

QforCucumber · 13/07/2015 13:18

maybe fingers crossed of you too then!

Mine was at 8 weeks so keep thinking the same, if i can get there and it's ok then maybe this time it'll go all the way. We told dp's mum last night and I kept saying things like "if its ok" and "if this one happens" she must think I'm such a downer but I just cannot allow the excitement yet.

Me624 · 13/07/2015 13:25

How weird that there's so many vegetarians on this thread - I'm one too! For 15 years and it's probably the reason it took us so long to get our bfp - i was severely anaemic. Now taking iron supplements and trying to eat lots of iron rich veggie foods! I dread to think what I'd do if I start craving meat ... I can't imagine eating it again after so long, but will cross that bridge if and when I come to it!

6+3 today and no sickness for me still but have had v sore boobs the last few days and needed to wee a lot. Like others I've felt slightly nauseous at times but it passes really quickly and I think I'm imagining it tbh! I've got my booking in appt a week today, so that's the first 'thing' to look forward to.

Snowberry86 · 13/07/2015 14:13

Had a bit more pinky/browny discharge today and a few cramps. Did another test and got a very very faint positive so I think it's probably not going to happen. I'm guttered. Got a doctors appointment tomorrow although I know there isn't anything they can do this early.

Wonkyparsnip · 13/07/2015 14:21

I got the bfp!!! I can't believe it. Can I be a full time member rather than a tentative one? Just got to try and make it to 12 weeks now.

QforCucumber · 13/07/2015 14:23

Hello all new people ~~waving

Just wondering if anyone has a good pregnancy guide book they could recommend? I'm thinking of buying one (probably not for a few weeks as I'm totally paranoid about things...), not sure which to go for.
