Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
purdiepie · 17/06/2015 19:56

Thanks folks. It's 49 days tomorrow so I thought it made me 7wks tomorrow and 6+6 today.

haquoi123 · 17/06/2015 19:57

I checked about the crampy-ness because I got that as well and she said the no sex is to do with mechanics and possible weakness of the cervix. Orgasms send extra blood to the baby as well. It is scary though. I had orgasms and sex all the way through my last pregnancy (because best sex ever!) and I'd get cramps /contractions after, and it wasn't at all the cause of my late miscarriage (I'd been abroad for two weeks without dh). But this time they're just trying to give baby best chance so I'll go with that.

Bluenewbie · 17/06/2015 19:58

evening ladies :)

Rufus that's fantastic! so happy for you!! Star
can I ask if your spotting is with red blood and if the doctor said no sex to prevent any more bleeding or MC? myself didn't want to have sex for same reason (I only have brown discharge) but it was more of intuition than advice from anyone and I would like to tell my DP if it's actually confirmed by a doctor.

haquoi123 · 17/06/2015 20:02

marsaday that's awful, so sorry you feel so crap. I know teachers have it especially hard with sick days, but can you take the day off at all? Failing that, Emily Oster's book says that actually throwing up regularly isn't a normal ms thing, it's more than what must people deal with. It's worth chatting to your GP, especially if you can't take time off. Thinking of you x

Cheesypop · 17/06/2015 20:03

I've just done three online 'how many weeks pregnant am I' calculators and they came up with three different answers from the LMP. I have literally no idea how it is worked out, if it isn't the way I said in my previous post Confused

Mumof1sofar · 17/06/2015 20:03

Fantastic news rufus! Smile

Tonight I will be eating a dominoes pizza & watching the Affair Smile Hope everyone has a nice evening!

Mumof1sofar · 17/06/2015 20:04

Cheesy if in doubt use the nhs due date calculator - seems pretty reliable.

Bluenewbie · 17/06/2015 20:09

purdiepie you can check on our spreadsheet ;) docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dWmvdD9SkvPQqKn7rpFHazgufmda2FOTMtL093cZFj8/edit#gid=0

Betty5714 · 17/06/2015 20:11

Blue i am mainly spotting brown but there bas been some red. When i asked the dr about sex he said best not until bleeding has stopped, but not sure if that was to reduce chance of more bleeding or reduce chance of mc. I dont think sex was causing bleeding as we hadnt for about a week or so (sorry tmi!) before bleeding started. DH is putting on a brave face Smile.

Welcome butterfly and congrats rufus on the hb you must be so pleased!

jellypi3 · 17/06/2015 20:13

cheesy just count from your LMP that's what I did.

Cheesypop · 17/06/2015 20:16

Blue when I was looking at the spreadsheet yesterday I saw that I was down a day ahead of what I actually think I am. I don't really understand how it is worked out. My fake LMP was a Saturday, surely a Wednesday is always Xweeks +4? I'm normally reasonably bright but I really can't grasp this!

rallytog1 · 17/06/2015 20:17

Yay rufus! So pleased after everything you've been through in the last couple of weeks.

jellypi3 · 17/06/2015 20:22

Purdey counting back from 1st of May I make it 6+5

Cheesypop · 17/06/2015 20:23

I've had to use an IVF due date calculator to work out my due date but because I know the age of my embryo when it was transferred I could work out my fake LMP and have relied on that to work out how many weeks I am. But I'm clearly rubbish at it... Blush

Anyway, Rufus, congrats on the heartbeat! Flowers

Bluenewbie · 17/06/2015 20:24

monkerina it's very nice of you that you've remembered about my tests. Flowers
1st was almost 46k, 4 days later was 73,5k. as they described it : the PG is ongoing :)

I'm sorry if I'm not jumping to the roof but being very happy at first, I read many stories here and on other forums and I know that until 12 week scan everything can happen. I'm very sorry for you ladies that went through it and I really really wish that won't be me, but I can't help myself to stop worrying. It's my first, I don't feel pregnant, I've got brown discharge every day and I don't have anyone (beside my man) to talk about it or get advice. That's why I came here. And I did find support and advise from most of this lovely crowd Star
In case some of you find my pessimism annoying, I will shut up now and only write when have something positive to say. Maybe I will learn something this way..

Today I'm pregnant :)

Bluenewbie · 17/06/2015 20:35

Cheesypop I didn't create the spreadsheet so not sure if the formula is bang on but I've checked with calendar on "mymonthlycycles" and gives me the same number as on spreadsheet.

Bluenewbie · 17/06/2015 20:38

oh cheesy I might be wrong but if LMP was on Sat then your every week (7 days ) will end on Fri, hence it will be Xweeks plus 5 from Sat to Wed. do I make sense?

Lilymog · 17/06/2015 20:38

Today I am pregnant too Blue xx

Rufus200 · 17/06/2015 20:40

Blue my 1st bleed was brown, all the others have been red. Had 7 now in 2 weeks, including the one today just before my scan. I haven't had sex since I ovulated so I think it is MC risk not to stop bleeding.

Cheesypop · 17/06/2015 20:41

A bit more digging seems to indicate that dates might be slightly different for embryo transfers... I'm having a scan on Monday so I'll ask then how many weeks/days I am and see what they say!

peggysue82 · 17/06/2015 20:46

Yay! So pleased for you Rufus!! Grin

Bluenewbie · 17/06/2015 20:48

Lily {star}
Rufus thank you for explaining. I have brown discharge from 1 June every day, so after what you said, my aversion to sex seems reasonable ;) You really went through a lot recently, so I'm over the moon happy for your scan and HB! Flowers

MayFlowers16 · 17/06/2015 20:50

Great news Rufus Smile

Blue please don't feel bad. It's ok not to feel ok. We are here for you Flowers

Mars I'm sorry you've had such a bad day. I've had my worst so far too. Even my trusty sandwiches are no longer appealing. On top of the nausea I have very bad hayfever (or possibly a cold - I can't tell as I am so congested and my head hurts). I feel so sorry for dd - I have been rubbish company for her today and she has been such a good girl. She's only 2 1/2 , bless her.
Dreading work tomorrow.

GiraffesAndButterflies · 17/06/2015 20:57

Hello feb people, may I join you? My edd is 7/2/16 and this will be baby no.2 for me Smile

I'm with all those eating to stave off nausea and who are either starving or full with no in between. Going to double my body weight by birth at this rate. Last time I had low blood pressure early on and a few fainting spells so I'm hoping that won't recur this time around... Bleurgh.

For those feeling anxious, lots of sympathy. 8ww is a VERY good description. I want time to go faster!!

jellypi3 · 17/06/2015 21:03

Missed your good news rufus great stuff
