I'm feeling a bit soppy today after an incredibly long and hard week but a lovely morning mostly cuddling DH and DS - and DH brought me tea and pancakes in bed this morning.

I wanted to tell you all about my previous "antenatal group" from when I was pregnant with DS. We started off like this and around the time the babies were born we moved onto a secret group on Facebook because it was easier to share pics and details. 3 years later we are as active as ever - at least about 30 of us are. We have been there for each other every step of the way through out the pregnancy, birth, newborn days, weaning, sleeping/not sleeping, illness, learning to move/talk, stroppy toddlers - and new baby's too. We have a deep bond even though we span the country and are from very different backgrounds. In certain areas of the country there happen to be "hotspots" of members who live close to each other - I'm lucky that where I now live there are 5 others living within about half an hour and we meet up regularly. We managed to arrange a big meet-up for the babies 1st birthdays in 2013 and had a big party in the midlands with people coming down from Scotland, up from the south coast and everywhere in between - 20 of us met up, it was fantastic. We didn't manage to get it organised for the 2nd birthday but we are meeting up for the 3rd - again about 20 of us, again in the midlands - in a few weeks time. I count several of those ladies as close friends, DS counts several of the other toddlers (and their siblings) who live locally as his best friends. I've had a really difficult week which I won't go into here but did tell my other group about and have just got back from the postoffice where I found they'd clubbed together and sent me a beautiful card and thoughtful pressy. It brought me to tears!

Anyway, probably not THAT interesting to you all but I wanted to share...

Bluenewbie · 20/06/2015 13:53

thank you Bee and Kep. I am strongly considering blowing it a bit to the MW and pushing for an early scan.
should any other ladies had some other experiences with a discharge and clots, I will keep checking the thread.

I hope jelly your MW appt went well. I assumed she came as you went silent.

Now I'm off for the weekend and wish you all rest and sticky beans!

My goodness, so busy here! Sorry if a bit behind on everything!

Welcome bluenewbie, with the spotting etc. did you ring your GP or get yourself checked out at EPAU? I don't want to worry you but it is such an individual thing and might put your mind at ease to get the spotting checked out.

Welcome aliquid! Congrats on the scan. I'm due 2/1 at the mo but will more than likely have an ELCS which will put me at the end of Dec too. I was on the July 2014 bus (mainly lurking) so there will be 18 months between my DCs. Eek!

Congrats on the scan bee!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 20/06/2015 14:33

Huge welcome to the new ladies. This thread has got so many people on it now!

I think the little bean must be having a growth spurt today. I just fell asleep while kneeling up watching tv Blush

10 weeks today!

Pugmumlondon · 20/06/2015 14:47

Gosh busy today. I'm exhausted and now I'm in bed with Netflix and chocolate. Fuck it. Im being a grump.

I've also had bleeding and was advised at 7 week scan that it was fine. 9 weeks on Monday and I'm counting down the days to 12!!

tennisnut123 · 20/06/2015 15:18

Hi all! I was hoping I could join this already busy group?! Have been a bit scared to join before now but am 10 weeks tomorrow so am getting more hopeful that all will be ok. From what I've managed to catch up on the group is really helpful and supportive, esp as most people haven't told many people in the 'real world' yet!
Will try to add my stats but I'm 32, this is my first pregnancy, due 17th Jan from my dates, scan 6th July.
Hope you are all having a restful weekend, I for one am exhausted!

Yokyil · 20/06/2015 15:24

Anyone else sick of hearing themselves moan?? I'm boring myself now about feeling sick / tired/ headache/ tired again...went and had a subway Shock first one in a long time and forgot how nice meatball marina was--this bean is going to come out addicted to fast food and sugar Confused

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 20/06/2015 15:24

Welcome tennis! I'm currently due the day before you, although that could change at the scan though. Mine is on 8th July so you've beat me to it with that one!

Pugmumlondon · 20/06/2015 15:29

Welcome tennis we're very spread out but a cluster in early and then late jan, it's been great to share our anxieties particularly up to the 12w mark but hopefully within the next 4 weeks as we all have our scans and pass the 12w mark it will become less whingey!!

I'm due 25th and it's also my first!'

Oysterbabe · 20/06/2015 15:39

Welcome tennis

I think my DH is probably sick of hearing me moan about not enough symptoms, gaining weight, being impatient to tell people, being tired, that there might be no baby in there, time going too slowly etc etc. 10 days until booking in appointment, no date for scan yet.Hmm

Had a bit of a craving for Heinz tomato soup today. I think it's because my mum used to give it to me when I was poorly and I love it. I made a roasted pepper and cannelini bean soup instead. It was delicious and probably the healthiest thing I've eaten in two weeks.

MissMartin10 · 20/06/2015 15:45

yokyil - omggg i used to love subway but just the thought of it now makes me heave Sad

tennis- welcome hunni.. & Congratulations Grin Thanks
im due the 27th jan but if i go off ovulation date my edd is the 22nd jan... suppose i won't know until scan

MissMartin10 · 20/06/2015 15:46

oyster i had heinz tomato soup last night with crusty tiger bread.. yummm

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 20/06/2015 15:52

Omg missmartin I would loooove that right now! I had a cheese and ham toastie for breakfast, and cup-a-soup with yet more bread for lunch. Nowhere near as good as Heinz (although it was quite nice).

Yokyil · 20/06/2015 16:00

oyster that soup sounds amazeballs!!
Didn't know if I could even have subway missmartin but was too hungry that I just ate it anyway.
Cheese and ham toastie sounds gorge Grin ...going to make chicken curry, rice and naan bread (cus let's face it at this stage bread just has to go with EVERY meal!)

SleepyDragon · 20/06/2015 16:04

Thanks Coffee just getting ready to go out for a meal with the family, put my favourite top on and felt like an elephant... Needless to say I've resorted to all black and DH isn't happy that regressed after discovering wearing colours a year ago lol!

ValancyJane · 20/06/2015 16:14

Welcome tennis and congratulations :)

Yokyil Yes, I'm starting to bore myself with the whinging! OH is putting up with it manfully, and denies that I'm irritating, but dear god all I do is complain about feeling sick / not feeling sick!! Today he's got the remix of "I don't feel sick at all and feel really perky, something must be wrong, do you think something's wrong?"

My current food craving has been for salads - but not healthy salads, salad bar type salads! Dinner the last three nights has involved lettuce, carrot red cabbage and red onion (all fine) - with potato salad, coleslaw, kidney beans, loads of mozzarella, veggie hot dog sausages, drenched in honey mustard dressing and covered, absolutely covered, in croutons and bacon bits!!! And tonight we're ordering a curry, so I'm not doing much better. Hopefully on Sunday I may eat a balanced meal of some description (I console myself with the knowledge that I'm taking a daily vitamin at least!)

Pugmumlondon · 20/06/2015 16:30

valancy you just read my mind - I harassed both my mum and MIL last night re should I be worried.

Both said - stop bloody worrying!

tennisnut123 · 20/06/2015 16:35

Thanks for the welcome. Now craving Heinz tomato soup!
Reckon we are all allowed a little guilt-free moan. I hadn't realised how icky I would feel, bring on the second trimester I say! (Please tell me it gets better then!)

ValancyJane · 20/06/2015 16:36

Pug I know that's what everyone says, but it's blooming impossible!! If it helps, I had a symptom-free day last Thursday (felt awesome all day - was so worried things had gone wrong!) and then morning sickness came back on Friday, was dreadful on Saturday and I had a scan on Sunday that showed all was spot on. I keep trying to remind myself of this and remain vaguely sane!!

fourlegstwolegs · 20/06/2015 16:50

I now want Heinz tomato soup too!
I know what you mean re the moaning. My poor DP. I just feel sick all the time. Not enough to vomit, just enough to make me moody and feel crap.

Pugmumlondon · 20/06/2015 16:54

valancy I know - I just keep reminding myself - saw baby and heart heartbeat at scan last week and all ok. No sickness for 2 days which is absolutely ok. I just need the next 3 weeks to pass super quickly. 3 weeks till 12w and then another week to scan. Hopefully by the end of July when we've all had our scans we will maybe calm down?

But agree it's so anxiety inducing!!!!

MissMartin10 · 20/06/2015 16:57

my dp is fed up definitely but wont admit it.. i feel bad as we have had a week off together and i've been sick near enough the entire time and i feel like ive wasted his time off..poor him!
im now back to feeling sick after my 1.5 day break from it.. isn't it weird how much you worry when your not feeling icky!? and are actually glad to feel ill again. ..Hmm

melonface · 20/06/2015 17:42

Ladies can I ask a tmi question?! The delightful pregnancy discharge, has anyone had blobs of thick jelly like stuff? It's clear with no blood or anything but I've had it twice in the last week. Oh god I'm such a worrier!

Sorry to hear so many of you have been feeling rough Flowers

mrsfazruns · 20/06/2015 17:48

melonface I had that the other day .... It was weird!

melonface · 20/06/2015 17:55

Thanks that's a relief! Pregnancy after a miscarriage is a bloody minefield. I'm a wreck most days.
