Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 29th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 47th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: stats

Ta for the link Rhiannon!

teejayem · 28/05/2015 21:58

That is an excellent tip purple and exactly the kind of stupid thing I'd do....

gaggiagirl · 28/05/2015 22:09

tee can we have a pre birth bumpie? Purleeeeeese!?

deeplybaffled · 28/05/2015 22:36

jcandy - yes, just. She suggested several times that i should just leave it, but my bloody minded streak kicked in and insisted she finished! After all, the shame of nearly fainting was bad enough without additional pool based furry shame on top.....

nearly fainted again at work today en route to getting a cup of tea. However, given I'm down to one proper caffeinated tea a day, i managed to get to the kitchen in the end - my priorities may be a little suspect, but nothing gets between me and my cup of tea!

teejayem · 28/05/2015 22:44

I'll do one tomorrow gaggia Wink

DulcetMoans · 28/05/2015 23:08

Great news for you looking, niff and rhi! Glad the day has been positive for you both. Did you have bets on gender before finding out rhi? I like Ffion but can see that being an issue for inlaws!

Hey tink! Don't forget us!

Tepid bath and alcohol free beer feather, living the pg life!

la, don't let them stress you out! You would t have even thought twice about it of they hadn't said. Mention it to MW next week but don't stress about it before then. You can stress at those work fuckers though! How poorly timed is that?! Sounds like a bit of a farce to me - but is it the price you for a bun trolley?!

That is a good redeem jc, and it's a gift he can use in the future as well! Flowers is a good one too purple, vey smart!

What was the cheese and pickle with toast? Just cheese dipped in pickle?!

Yeah tee, bump pic time! Can you do it in fancy dress?!

deeply, could it be low blood pressure making you feel faint?

Thanks for all the illness love viroids, you are all lovely as always. I'm fine really, just worn out and a bit snotty. I felt better after my iron which I missed it this morning so wonder if that could be contributing. I did have a big poo and felt sick so started to worry it was early labour! But that's only because I learnt about the body clearing out this week.

Toast85 · 29/05/2015 00:01

Yep, cheese (cheddar, extra mature) cut into chunks and spread liberally with pickle. No cracker or bread or anything else.
Though I've now just woken up before midnight after some keraaazy dream shit going on wondering if it was cheese induced. They say so after all. Or could be more general keraaazy preggo dreams although they don't usually get me til more like 3-5 am. Or could be the fact that I feel pretty achey for some reason. Balls to not being able to sleep properly hey?!

Feel better soon dulcet. Magnums for you tomorrow perhaps?

PixieChops · 29/05/2015 06:35

Morning viroids! Hope everyone slept well.
I have a quick question, does anyone else's tummy kind of dome in the middle when going from lying down to sitting up? I'm really worried that my stomach muscles have split. I'll be absolutely gutted if they had as I managed to ping right back with DD but think because I've got pregnant again so quickly after having her that it's put a real strain on my body Confused I've always been quite lucky that I've stayed pretty trim and had a flat Tum my whole life without having to do much of any exercise and kind of dreading having to some Blush!

PixieChops · 29/05/2015 06:36

Sort that should be "kind of dreading having to do any exercise once DS is here"

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 29/05/2015 06:43

Morning viroids

Nothing overnight again. Every night I go to bed with baby feeling low and some pain or other, thinking "tonight's the night" and every morning so far I've woken up as usual, nothing doing. Sigh. Sleep is all over the place tho, so maybe a nice flapjack fuelled daytime labour would be better.

I feel like I've got a marathon coming up (or maybe a 10k??) but without knowing when, day or night.

Deeply when I had a spell of feeling faint at around 28 weeks my friend who works in paediatric A&E told me to re-introduce caffeinated tea to give my blood pressure a boost. She said that they give caffeine medicinally to premature babies born at that gestation anyway, so it wouldn't harm mine as long as I didn't drink mad amounts. I upped my morning consumption from one to two cups and I didn't have another fainting episode.

Tee I'd forgotten that curry is likely to lead to heartburn - gah! Not sure if I'm going to give it a try or not. But anything beyond 39+2 (today) is uncharted territory for me.

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 29/05/2015 06:48

Pixie mine does, but that's my baby's bum getting shifted about. It's really pronounced now. My stomach muscles are the one place where I don't get any pain, so I'm not worried about separation. Does it hurt there?

LaLaLaaaa · 29/05/2015 06:51

Morning!

Pixie yes those are your abdominals pushing bump up - be careful to sit up by going onto your side first to prevent damage to them. You won't have split them you'd know about it if you did!

I'm hungry. Very odd. Ate loads last night!

Also didn't itch all night (until I thought about it just now) so don't think it can be that oc thing.

Feeling stressed about things and I know it's trivial and there are more important things in life but here goes.

Landlord sent message - he's ordered the new nursery window to replace the one he broke 2 weeks ago by trying to fix the catch himself instead of calling an expert. It's going to take 'a couple of weeks, then I'll arrange for someone to come and fit it'. Meanwhile window is jammed shut and can't air the room.

My baby is due in 6 and a half weeks, potentially come earlier, and I can't do the nursery until that window is repaired because it's a huge job and will create lots of mess.

We still need to finish painting, clean carpet, put decorations up, sort clothes, etc. It's the only space I have for feeding/changing baby when it's here and for storing baby things. They are also replacing bedroom window which is where baby will sleep.

Im upset because I don't want to prepare my baby's nursery, only for contractors to traipse through it spreading dirt and dust over everything.

According to landlord I should just go ahead as they wont cause mess. Dh thinks it's not a big deal and I'm being precious/there's plenty of time,

Aibu? If not why do men not understand this?

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 29/05/2015 07:11

I think YANBU La because it's going to be tricky to paint if you can't get the window open to air the room. And if you can't paint yet, it pushes everything else back.

I remember having the nesting instinct when we were renting - not fun, because it's so strong I just wanted everything DONE, and DONE NOW and I couldn't stand any delays. My DH only understood this when he dragged his feet about clearing out the spare room so I started throwing things out of the window (I kid you not!). This time he's been brilliant.

I think you do have some time - maybe get DH to commit to helping you do something to prepare in the meantime so it doesn't all feel so "on hold". Or go away for the weekend and let him work out how to paint a room with a jammed window.

It will come together in time. But I know the waiting is hideous.

batfish · 29/05/2015 07:22

I don't think you are being unreasonable la especially as it sounds like it could have been sorted ages ago if your landlord hadn't tried to cut corners. But if it can't be helped then can you get hold of a load of big sheets and cover everything up so that if there is any dust then it won't get on things?

jellypi3 · 29/05/2015 07:22

:( la you are not being unfair. Far from it. I would be incredibly stressed in that situation. Could you paint it now so that it's one less job when the window is put in? You might need to touch it up but it'd be a lot quicker?

LaLaLaaaa · 29/05/2015 07:38

Thank you - yes I think it's the beating instinct, I've got this urge to get it done ASAP!

Love the idea of you throwing things out of the window before! Grin

PixieChops · 29/05/2015 07:54

Oh that's a relief! I don't have any pain in my tummy, about the only place that isn't painful.
After that awful cramping episode yesterday my calf muscle is still really tender even though I've had warm wheat bags on it.
La you are definitely not BU. I'd be going bat shit crazy! We bought paint for DDs room in our old rented house and OH was putting off decorating, in the end I went nuts and he did it but there was only about a week before I was due.
Hmm

PixieChops · 29/05/2015 07:56

Toast hope you managed to get back to sleep and Before I hope things start moving along for you soon. Nothing worse than the waiting game. My DD was 5 days late and I was tearing my hair out.

Purpleball · 29/05/2015 07:56

La YANBU - I'd be narked too. Bloody men!

Scan day here Grin

We're going to clear the spare room tomorrow so my office can move in there. I also need to clear the office but one thing at a time.

Still need to unpack from holiday. Dirty clothes were taken out and washed. I have a suitcase full of clean clothes and nothing to wear! My excuse is its too heavy to lift Smile

LaLaLaaaa · 29/05/2015 07:58

Ha not beating instinct, nesting!

Good luck for scan purple!

I'm going to call midwife today - ask about the itching and ask for blood test

jellypi3 · 29/05/2015 08:05

Good luck purple :)

teejayem · 29/05/2015 08:18

Beating instinct! Love it la I think I've def got a dose of that. Ask your landlord if he will provide a cleaner to make the room acceptable? I'd talk about dust, fumes, toxins that you don't want to expose your baby or baby's things to, and what is he going to do about it? You're paying him for a service after all.

I haven't really had nesting, just the mad gardening episode. Mr Tee is better at the tidy-uppy stuff, and I can't push a Hoover!

Nothing here either before I don't recommend curry! After waking up at 2am with heartburn and horrid wind (which got me excited for all of about five minutes with trapped wind pain) I barely managed to sleep at all, which has resulted into me waking up a stroppy cow this morning, didn't want Mr tee to go to work, (and he's at a work social tonight, somewhere in north London, under strict instructions to not get pissed). I can't say I'm liking this weird 'don't abandon me' feeling I keep getting, I much prefer the 'I'm running away from everyone and giving birth in the woods on some moss' or 'I don't want to see any other human beings today' feelings!

Don't really have much fancy dress dulce - I've got some Jolly Roger print pirate palazzos? My regular go to fancy dress outfit wouldn't even get over my thighs and nobody needs to see that.

Happy scan day purple hope it all goes well!

Lookingforadvice123 · 29/05/2015 08:57

Morning viroids!

Slept for 10.5 hours last night, lush! I obviously needed it after Wednesday night/Thursday morning's dramas!

tee I am literally laughing out loud at the image of your guilty munching face Grin too funny.

jellypi3 · 29/05/2015 09:12

yay for long sleeps looking

i went to bed whilst it was still light last night, about 8:30!

LaLaLaaaa · 29/05/2015 09:29

Oooh just read back through and loving the snack chat! I love bowls of pickled onions and cubes of cheese, like a deconstructed party hedgehog. Yum! Does nothing for my wind issues! Also love salsa mixed with sour cream and chopped tomatoes eaten from the can.

Bat is it worth you asking for blood tests earlier to check for anaemia? If you're tired/dizzy you could be a bit anaemic. I had mine done at 26 weeks instead of 28 for that reason.

Just sitting on hospital waiting for blood tests to check bile levels. Midwife said best to check. MiniLa is trampolining on my bladder so not worrying about reduced movements.

Tee isn't it funny how vulnerable you can feel when preggers? I don't like getting the train since I was knocked the other week and I went radge at my phone company coz 2 masts have been down in my area for 2 months and I get no signal in my village. Told them I'm preggers and need to be able to phone if there's a problem. They gave me free signal booster for house and discounted fees for the next year. Worth complaining!

JC the bracelet sounds lovely!

Happy birthday purple! When is it or has it been and I'm being forgetful?
