November 2015 ladies! Time to feel the glow!

Are you expecting a babe in November this year? If so, get ready to get glowing. Breaking out in spots, or tears, or both is part of the so called glow. Feeling sick, contemplating births and having the odd good day of eating well is also all glow.

Come on then. Wee in the corner to mark your spot. Have some Brew or Cake or Wine. Then glow.

Crumbelina I knew there was someone slightly before me! Congratulations on your little girl. And I think 95% of placentas move up, so fingers crossed that sorts itself out.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 05/06/2015 16:28

Alittlebit I'm 22 Nov so another end of month-er! My 16w appointment is on monday and I should get to hear the heartbeat which is exciting. After that, next scan is 13 July...

I feel HUGE today, and uncomfortable at my desk. If I'm like this now what will I be like in a few months?!?

Amyyy27 · 05/06/2015 16:59

Thanks crumbelina, yes we are finding out :)

guy so pleased they are doing well!

SnozzberryPie · 05/06/2015 17:05

My due date was moved back to 3rd Dec! However dd was early so I'm still expecting a November baby...

Crumbelina · 05/06/2015 17:06

Thanks Abbey! Yep, hopefully it'll move up - I won't worry too much yet. Of all the things that could have been an issue today that doesn't seem too concerning yet.

After a stressful week (well, month) at work I've booked a week in Kefalonia in early July. I can't wait to go and relax.

BowiesJumper · 05/06/2015 18:05

Oo congrats on the good scan and your little girl Crumb! Does it seem lots more real now you know what you're having?

I just got butterflies thinking about having AN ACTUAL REAL BABY! Gulp.

Crumbelina · 05/06/2015 18:19

Aha! Only 2 weeks for you Bowie - so exciting! Smile Yes, it definitely feels more real now; seeing the baby's mouth and lips move, as well as it's hands and feet. Smile

I'll love reading updates on all the 20 week scans. They'll start rolling in v soon ...

Crumbelina · 05/06/2015 18:22

Oh, and if anyone does 'work from home' on the day of their scan prepare to do no work at all! I've done about 10 mins today and spent the rest of the day telling people the news, looking at dresses and thinking about names - oops!

Gr33dyeggs · 05/06/2015 18:25

Lovely news on your scan Crumbelina Smile

flyingsprocket · 05/06/2015 18:52

Congrats on the scan Crumelina!

Scarlet I had a cervical length scan on Monday due to a previous pprom/loss at 17 weeks. It was done by a consultant. I asked the sonograper about it at the 12 week scan & she said they're only done by consultants at my hospital. And yes it does seem like shutting the stable door....

I had an early anomaly scan at the same time but can't wait for the proper one on June 22nd!

feathergirl1 · 05/06/2015 19:34

Lovely news Crumbelina with your scan! I've got mine on Monday morning-I'm not normally worried about health related things but I am nervous about this. Fingers crossed all is good. I still haven't felt any movement so will reassuring to see a baby moving around on the screen!

Loulabellle123 · 05/06/2015 19:41

All very exciting scan news. I'm due 29th oct and my 20 week scan is a week on Tuesday. I'm still wearing ordinary clothes although they are getting tighter. Some heartless lady at work said 'oooh. You're not really showing. Are you sure the baby is growing alright.' A helpful comment!!! Or not. Dh has been reassuring me that everything should be fine and he can definitely see and feel a bump. Hope that everyone has some nice things planned for the weekend.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 05/06/2015 20:00

I got those comments with DS Loula and he was big for dates, so please don't worry. I think we all carry differently, I'm still small this time. The "are you sure the baby is ok?" comments, accompanied by concerned faces weren't helpful though. When I told people he was measuring ahead, they'd shuffle off looking confused. He was 6 and a half pounds at only just 36 weeks in the end, so possibly would've been 9-10lbs at full term

austengirl · 05/06/2015 20:28

I'm having my 20 week scan the same day as you flyingsprocket Smile I'm going to try to get my MATB1 then, but will probably have to wait for my 25 week midwife appt.

How lovely you got to see all those details Crumbelina. Hope you have a brilliant holiday.

Work has been ridiculous this week, I am so glad it's the weekend.

Unthoughtknown · 05/06/2015 20:45

How long did everyone have to wait to get blood results back? 5 weeks since first bloods taken, nothing back and 1 week since downs syndrome blood test and nothing. No nuchal test at 12 weeks either so feeling a bit neglected!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 05/06/2015 20:49

No one ever have me blood results. I saw my gp about chest infection this week and she checked them and said they were fine. I think they only give you the results if there is a problem.
No idea about downs one in afraid! Result of my nuchal combined test was within a week but again, they said I would receive a phone call within 48 hours if risk came out as high.

SnozzberryPie · 05/06/2015 20:55

Loulabelle I've had 'ooh you're massive, are you sure it's not twins?'.

SnozzberryPie · 05/06/2015 20:56

That was last time, and dd was bang on 50th centile. I am short and the baby has nowhere to go except outwards...

bitbot · 05/06/2015 20:58

I had my consultants appointment on Wednesday despite been only 15 weeks and c section booked for 18th November ...feels very weird knowing babies birthday in advance!

doomclaw · 05/06/2015 21:54

Unthoughtknown I had my quad test on Wednesday last week and had the results letter yesterday. I would think that no news is good news as I was told they ring within a few days if you are high risk.

Only got told my results from the 12 week bloods yesterday at the 16 week midwife appointment

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 05/06/2015 22:01

bitbot that's probably the date but you might have the baby earlier, or an emergency might come in and you get bumped to the next day, so you never know!

I wish I'd seen the consultant. I've got to see a consultant midwife first at 25 weeks then the actual consultant after that (date TBC). Seeing as we'll be talking about premature birth amongst other things it seems a bit daft to see him/her that late on?

Blood tests - with the booking ones I got the results at the 16 week appointment. With the Down's ones they took 2 weeks to come in the post. With both they phone if there's any risky results within a few days

NoMoreSashimi · 05/06/2015 22:34

Congratulations Crumbelina on the great scan news! Mine's on Thursday, very excited Smile

We're on holiday just now and I've just started to look very pregnant, so weird! Like it happened over night. Got to hide bump on the flight home to keep my extra-legroom seat...

GoEasyJulia · 05/06/2015 23:36

Did a Facebook page get set up? I'd like to join if so!

Still feeling tired here at 15 weeks and so ready for the weekend.

annatha · 05/06/2015 23:55

Ladies, I've got a weird ache under my bump, down my inner thighs and, ahem, my fanny. Its almost like when you pull a muscle or overdo it at the gym. Its not constant but it's there when I climb stairs or walk a lot. Anyone experiencing anything like this?

TakesTwoToTango · 06/06/2015 00:44

Annatha, sounds like classic spd?
