Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 27th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

How was the sleep la? Starfish all night?! Good luck for the presentation.

As if you won't be screaming in his face tee in labour! I think you should think up the scariest way to wake him up if you do go at night now.

My friend has just had the same argument with her DH about middle names pixie. Bit of a role reversal though as she didn't want to use the FIL middle name but once she saw what it meant to him she did change her mind and the baby does now have FIL middle name. Hopefully your DH will feel the same.

Purpleball · 12/05/2015 09:10

Morning lovelies

Ga I think you should say something rude back to them, ask them to stop or at least burst into tears you could also go to HR
They can't do this for the next x weeks

La I'm sure you look lovely Smile

Pixie what a nightmare. Hope DP agrees to the name.

Tee, I do wonder what your DH thought you were going to do! I'd be staying in the house too if it were me though

I think the baby has moved, I'm getting kicked higher up now. Makes sense I suppose, using up the space Smile

I know! He is funny. Although tbh I have weighed up how much extra drama he'd create if I wake him up,too soon, after seeing his predisposition to panic after various hospital runs. (Eg: If you don't get your ankle x rayed immediately you'll get crippled for life, or my personal favourite from just before Xmas, Me: 'oh fuck, I'm bleeding', Mr Tee: Where?!' Hmm). In his defence, I do tend to just get on with pain generally rather than wail about it (apart from in here, sorry everyome!) and I think he's worried that I'll just 'get on with it' and end up delivering in the bathroom. Hospital is 30-40 min drive.
Although all this is irrelevant if I end up with early ish induction, which if the consultant agrees to tomorrow, will probably cause me to snog him. Grin. I've also got to,ask him about gp refusing anymore pain relief and see if he can do anything there.
I've got one of the cats basically forcing me into a corner on the bed. She is super protective at the moment, and we are having nice cuddles, but Jesus Christ, her breath is awful at the moment. I can only assume she's been either licking her bum or eating live animals.
gaggia you've got a strong case for workplace bullying, I would absolutely involve HR. Legally you could have a field day with those comments - I would at the very least just make a note of each comment, who said it, when and where you were and who,was present . Document everything. Fucking pricks. And then when you speak to Hr you have a list of things that have been said. It makes preventative/remedial action easier.

WilHarlot · 12/05/2015 09:41

Haha great idea Dulcet. Fake baby and tomato ketchup? Grin

Hobbit19 · 12/05/2015 09:45

Gah, baby names, what a minefield! We haven't even thought about first names, need to decide on a surname first! I kept my name when we got married and was really glad that I did. (I can't pronounce DH'S last name clearly in a Yorkshire accent), double barrelled would be way too long, and DH doesn't really like when we try and squidge the two together. I think we should just rename ourselves completely (Mr and Mrs Awesome etc) but DH not convinced! Anyone else been in this situation??

DulcetMoans · 12/05/2015 09:55

Yes wil! Then chuck water in his face and scream.

Kind of pud, but we had agreed that the babies will have his surname even though I didn't change mine. As it happens I did change it at the docs so my records have his surname so won't be an issue there but I live a weird double life now! I know a couple that both changed their surname to start a new family name and I know a couple that were keeping separate names and the babies would have had double barrelled had they not split up. rough one though...

Have you checked downstairs for wildlife tee? If I suspect my cats have eaten something the evidence is usually in the kitchen... Hmm

WilHarlot · 12/05/2015 10:02

We're not married and kids have MrWil's name. I have no idea why I agreed to this. Especially as the only argument he could come up with was 'it's tradition' shouty voice.

DulcetMoans · 12/05/2015 10:02

Midwife just called to cancel appointment. Booo! I was 'working from home' but now I should go to work but can't be arsed. Moved it to Friday and she's coming to my house. Not sure how I feel about that!

ChatEnOeuf · 12/05/2015 10:10

Ga Shock that's an outrageous thing to say! Opal fruits are delicious and have one of your five a day in, so are good for you. Munch away, and don't share.

I went to our med school reunion at 31ish weeks, JC, felt totally fine but bowed out at 11pm - more for the last train home than anything else though. Does depend how you're feeling but I think a one-off at that gestation would be a really nice treat. Shame they aren't doing a spa day any excuse for a massage.

Bat breast pumps, slings and clothing are all much pricier over here as well as everything else mentioned, so are worth considering. Baby gyms definitely have a long-ish lifespan if your child is willing to be put down at any stage.

Good luck for the presentation La - hope you had a good night's sleep.

DH has reminded me to call him as soon as you think you're in labour - giving him maximal time to get away from wherever he is. Did warn him that a big of niggly backache was all I had last time until about three hours before delivery - which, if this time around is any quicker is cutting things mighty fine. Hopefully he'll be asleep in bed next to me and one of the grandparents will be here too...we can but hope!

Bump updates you say...I'll see what I can do. You may also get a shot of my horrid elephantiasis swollen legs so brace yourselves.

Hobbit19 · 12/05/2015 10:17

I think that is what a lot of people choose Wil, I would understand this tradition were it the fathers that squeezed human beings out of their vaginas, but no. To be fair DH said he would be happy for all future sprogs to have my name, and he will keep his. But I quite like the idea of new family, new name.

ChatEnOeuf · 12/05/2015 10:40

Potential very early BFP over on undergrads!

Jcandy · 12/05/2015 10:46

Yeah chat I was hoping for a spa day but no luck! I'll probably drive since there's no other easy way for me to get to the city it's in from my house so might do cocktail making and leave soon after

Hope you get more of a warning this time chat if he's not near!

couldntbebothered · 12/05/2015 11:02

Hi all, doing ok here, up and about, feeding lots and CS recovery is going fine. Pregnancy insomnia has been replaced by the ability to fall asleep at the drop of a hat often while holding baby Confused and nights involve intermittent bursts of sleep!

WilHarlot · 12/05/2015 11:18

Glad to hear that could! Early days all kind of pass in a blur.

Lacking in motivation to leave the house. Must get arse out of door.

gaggiagirl · 12/05/2015 11:54

Thank you all for your supportive words. I will fill the bitches desk drawer with kippers on Friday and lock it and swallow the key Grin
Midwife has just made a home visit to talk about feeding choices, she was lovely. When she left she said next time I see you you should have a bump for me to measure Shock. She must think I'm just tubby and not bumpy then!

teejayem · 12/05/2015 11:56

I'm now searching for a newborn doll and a litre of ketchup. :)

minimooo · 12/05/2015 12:06

Hello lovely viroids! So so sorry that I've been awol. I didn't have a very good birth unfortunately and had some pretty rare complications (only 1 in 100,000 people experience it) I won't go into detail because I don't want to scare anyone Shock but I ended up unconscious for a day and in intensive care for about 3 days after an emcs.
Baby is doing absolutely fine though thank god, it's just me with the problems!
Baby Emine Cariad Anne Kemal was born at 9.17pm on Sunday 3rd May weighing just 5lb 12oz.

Mini congratulations! She's so pretty and tiny! How rubbish for you, but brilliant that you're feeling better now. Smile

minimooo · 12/05/2015 12:11

Should have said that Emine is a Turkish name and she'll be called Emmie for short.

Fleurchamp · 12/05/2015 12:13

Lovely to hear from you mini! I am sorry to hear that you have had a traumatic time but she looks an absolute cutie! I love the name too!
Hope you are in the mend and enjoying newborn cuddles Flowers

Purpleball · 12/05/2015 13:22

Aww I'm so glad to hear from Min and Could Smile
Hope you're both ok now ladies and getting lots of baby snuggles Smile

ChatEnOeuf · 12/05/2015 13:58

Ah congratulations Mini, she's just lovely! I hope you're recovering from both the section and the rare stuff.

Lovely to hear from you too Could :)

minimooo · 12/05/2015 15:19

Hey could, are you suffering from back pain at all after the cs?
Also, how are you coping with breastfeeding? I'm finding it really hard to get up from lying down so it's a nightmare at night when she needs feeding.
Hope you're doing well xx

teejayem · 12/05/2015 15:55

Congratulations mini! Lovely name, hope you're not feeling too knocked about and are having lots of lovely cuddles :) xxx

mountaingirl01 · 12/05/2015 17:09

Congratulations mini - so glad you're both OK.
