Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 27th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Purple Flowers for you too you lovely friend!

Splodge, eeep you haven't messed about have you?! Go on girl, excited to hear about how adorable baby splodge is!

Jcandy, phew, I have been thinking about you and your scan today! Congratulations on being fully, properly and truly upduffed! Grin Did it look very babylike at 8 weeks? I think I will get my 12 week scan at 10 weeks and worried that we won't be able to see much. Hoping for a rescan at 12 weeks as well!

Fattycow · 06/05/2015 20:04

splodge, I'm ready with the pompoms here!

kato, he is just being a guy. Do not tell him that over here in The Netherlands the dads only get two days off. However, most try to take their annual leave days and stretch it to two weeks at least.

Purpleball · 06/05/2015 20:14

Yay for scans JC :-)

We had a 10 week scan pud and saw plenty. She showed us everything and we saw the heartbeat too

Jcandy · 06/05/2015 20:15

It looks like a baby shaped blob on the picture but could definitely see it was a baby on the scan itself. I'll bet you'll be able to see much more at 10 weeks!

Purpleball · 06/05/2015 20:25

I've got all mine 7,10,12 and 20 weeks. It gets more baby like with each one Smile

Hobbit19 · 06/05/2015 20:25

Eep I hope so. I am starting to get excited now but trying to stop myself from getting my hopes up too. Gah, 3 weeks until scan I reckon.

LaLaLaaaa · 06/05/2015 20:58

Go, splodge, go!!!! shakes pom Pom vigorously

kato he's being a typical man and that's crap of him :(. He has likely totally forgotten how hard it is with a newborn and thinks he can do both. Perhaps he's worried about providing for his family and it's making him think he needs to pick up extra work. I don't think you're unreasonable at all to be upset.

My dh only handed his paternity leave request in last week despite me telling him to do every week for last 10 weeks. He's now missed the cut off - it's the one thing he had to do in the middle of all the appointments I've got to remember to go to or book.

I know you're mad at him but can you sit him down and talk it through? Tell him important it is that he's there for the first few weeks and how much you need the support. That you appreciate the need to make money but this is more important.

JC I'm delighted for you and your wee peanut! So exciting to see the heartbeat.

Fleur - love the idea of you sitting surrounded by parcels!

Hobbit19 · 06/05/2015 21:00

Hee hee just told my best friend, she screamed a lot Smile. She is a doctor but didn't say anything negative about statistics, she was just really giddy. Was really nice to just enjoy the idea for a moment and have a positive perspective. Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 06/05/2015 21:01

Chat distracting yourself is a good idea. Can you visit friends or arrange to meet other preggers for coffee to take your mind off it? Hopefully mini chat has a growth spurt x

LaLaLaaaa · 06/05/2015 21:01

Push, splodge, push baby tonight hooray!

Lookingforadvice123 · 06/05/2015 21:37

Good luck splodge Flowers Flowers

Keep us posted!

Hi viroids! Sorry not been around the past week it's been very busy and tiring!
First of all Kato I feel your pain with this one. My DP is also self employed and I think I'll be having an ELCS and he's taking 2 weeks off. I have a very active (nearly 1 year old) baby and even I'm starting to worry how I'll cope when he goes back to work and I'll be at home on my own with both of them. He may not even be able to take 2 weeks off, it depends on how we are financially. If he doesn't work we can't pay the bills or the rent unfortunately.
Got my fx for you Splodge! Here's hoping for an easy birth :) cannot wait to see pics of baby Splodge!
Fleur all your boxes sound amazing! We finally bought our iCandy peach after a successful sale of the Stokke. Never been so excited about picking up a pram! So far we don't have much else, not even a bed yet, to be fair we have enough time, nearly 8 weeks and we had everything ready by now for DD. it's a completely different story with this one. Not bothered to have a baby shower either. It's DDs birthday a week on Saturday, this first year has gone so quick!
I've been mega busy doing tarot readings after my course, I was inundated and had to limit to 2 a day otherwise I'd have no time to do anything else.
Still waiting on my engagement ring at the moment as its being resized, don't think I'll feel engaged until it's on my finger. Me and OH have had two massive arguments this week (the most we've ever had) since being engaged! Mostly to do with DD not sleeping and him wanting to go back to co sleeping and me putting my foot down and not wanting to ruin the hard work I've already put in to getting her feeling safe and secure in her cot. Whereas 3 weeks ago DD would scream blue murder for 20 mins at bedtimes/ nap times, she just get straight in her cot now and falls asleep. It's lovely and I could never go back to her being as she was before with me having to rock her to sleep and losing most of my evening doing so. Anyway as he also captains the cricket team that's also been annoying him as it's like handbags at dawn at his club and unfortunately when he's in a bad mood he takes it out on me which is where most of the tiredness and grumpiness is coming from Hmm September and the end of the season can't come soon enough in my opinion. Anyway I hope you're all ok, there was no way I could even begin to read 300+ messages since my last visit so forgive me.

Hobbit19 · 06/05/2015 22:10

Splodge I am pushing in solidarity with you! trying to have a poo Blush

KatoPotato · 06/05/2015 22:39

Thank you all so so much for your comments. Managed to have a massive release and got loads off my chest and mind!

He was stunned and horrified and lovely. looking you were quite right, he just had this image of a napping baby and him sketching away! He told me he's actually really looking forward to being flung back into that bubble of newborn haze and not thinking about work.

Was good to talk and think we needed it. I got a good howl about being scared and feeling lonely. Not sure I can recommend it to others but I do feel lighter.

Will read more of the thread in the morning, you guys really actually are the best and I mean that so much. Alternative would have been phoning my mum and then that's divulging stuff to her that's not needed!

LaLaLaaaa · 06/05/2015 22:50

So glad it went ok kato and that you're feeling a bit better Smile. It's ok to be scared. Sending you a big hug

Indigoblue2 · 06/05/2015 23:12

Aww kato glad you guys got it sorted out. It's no fun feeling like that and I bet it feels so much better now you've talked.

splodge77 · 07/05/2015 00:57

Hi viroids, I done a baby! Jem born at 9.30pm after an hour and a half v intense labour! He's lush. We're staying in for the night as they want to do some blood tests in morning- something to do with him having cord round his neck when he came out. But he seems alert & wriggly which I hope us a good sign all is well. Only needed one stitch in me fanjo so I'm a happy lady! Xxx

LaLaLaaaa · 07/05/2015 02:19

Woweeeeee!!! Congratulations splodge! Fantastic news Grin

Very envious of your quick labour bit so glad baby and you are ok. Lovely name too.

Rest up you've earned it

ZylaB · 07/05/2015 05:45

Huge congrats splodge enjoy the newborn cuddles :)

Toast85 · 07/05/2015 06:29

Hooray splodge! Congratulations!

Kato- glad you got things off your chest and sorted and that DH was receptive to what you were saying.

My DH will just have started a new job about 3 weeks before my due date so who knows what will happen in terms of his leave, need to look into it. I assume he will get no paid paternity leave Hmm but really hope they let him have the time (2 weeks please) as we are several hours from both sets of parents and I'll want him around for a while. Not sure whether he'll have to use his annual leave or take unpaid leave or have the option of a mixture of the two.

Fleurchamp · 07/05/2015 06:37

Congrats splodge lovely name! xx

Hobbit19 · 07/05/2015 06:46
