Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Thanks lovelies. Felt a bit yuk last night, but put it down to offspring being badly positioned, Mr Tee gave him a bit of a rub to try and encourage him to move which helped, but then I woke up for my regular wees and felt worse and worse until about 8am which was like being transported back to 8 weeks! Just awful. I don't know what it was, I feel okay now, the best way I can explain it was like I had a rock in my stomach, and it made me feel sick, but I couldn't stop it from feeling that way by being sick if that makes sense. Maybe he had his foot wedged or something? Ugh! We went for a gentle (long) walk which helped the pukey but I think I'm going to be softbound until tomorrow now, my back is angry! God i hope I don't have another 5 weeks of this.... (or more....) Also, have so much ice cream to eat, I can't possibly waste it.

I don't have anything coming from my boobs yet apart from the old crusty colostrum, am I missing something?

WRT to telling people.. We kept it to ourselves for a good few weeks, which was nice, but I struggled because I didn't like lying to people, and I felt like a massive bag of shit for most of the first trim, and felt a bit of a knob excusing myself from social events, or being miserable and icky at the ones we actually went to.
I think we told my parents and MiL/SiL about 8/9 weeks. I had to 'fess up at work quite early on as well because of MS (was heaving into bin) but it wasn't too bad as although our office is massive, our team was segregated off so it was just a couple of immediate people. Mr Tee told lots of his friends before scans etc, which I was fine with, I just had the caveat that if it went tits up, then he'd be doing the un-telling. I told my best friend pre-scan too, but that was it for me. After the 12 week scan we took a picture of my hi-top trainers, Mr Tee's hi top trainers, and a diddy pair of baby hi top trainers all in a row, with the caption 'So this is what happens when you celebrate your engagement a little too vigorously' :)

mountain the thought of forceps sans epi is making me squeeze my pelvic floor HARD. Yowch.

Fuck me Kato that's soooooon!!

Let us know your baby show spoils viroids! I really enjoyed the one I went to (And then ninnied about with the 5000000 leaflets I got for weeks afterwards)

WilHarlot · 18/04/2015 20:24

Glad you're feeling a bit better Tee.

Did you enjoy your trip to the UK Bat?

I crashed my car today. Ooooops Blush

teejayem · 18/04/2015 21:20

Oh shit wil are you okay?!?

LaLaLaaaa · 18/04/2015 21:41

Wow wil are you ok? Were the wee ones in the car?

All of you who think pineapple on pizza is wrong don't know what you're missing! Mmmmmm!

Tee glad you're feeling a bit better. I have you to blame for having just eaten two magnums Blush

Boobs starting leaking whilst I was gardening and now they are still leaking. Eek! What do I do? It's gone through 3 layers. Do I wear boob pads from now on?

Kato - 2 weeks?! That's brilliant! How do you feel?

RM how the heck ? £3? That's surely not possible!

Purple considering I've put on 2 stone so far I think you're fine with 1lb! It's all on my bum, boobs and bump. Hoping baby and fluid make up most of it so it vanishes after birth.

Washed all the 2nd hand baby clothes we've been given today. It was adorable seeing them all on the line, I got a bit emotional!

Still peeing every 20 mins and feeling bursting each time. Get my results on Monday from hospital so I guess if I need antibiotics they'll tell me then.

Pixie your dad sounds like mine!

JC hooray for telling people Grin it's nice they are so excited for you

Tee out of interest were you lying on your back last night? I was only sick again once since first tri and I think it was because of that as it made me dizzy and sick. I lay on my side for a bit and felt better.

LaLaLaaaa · 18/04/2015 21:42

Hi cym nice to see you!

ZylaB · 18/04/2015 21:51

!
Hope you're ok wil

Hobbit19 · 18/04/2015 21:52

I too like pineapple on a pizza, but how does it get SO HOT?!

Tee, that is an awesome birth announcement!

Will, are you okay? Is your car?

LaLaLaaaa · 18/04/2015 21:56

Tee love your birth announcement!

DulcetMoans · 18/04/2015 22:33

Oh no wil! Hope all is ok. What a stress!

Two weeks until section - sorry kato! Time flying. All ready to jack in work on Tuesday though? Get outta there!

Sounds like a horrible night there tee! Were you ok the rest of the day?

Seen my Dad today. He was pretty determined to buy me something. It's more for him than me I think, but have a new swimsuit now that can hopefully see me through the next couple of months.

WilHarlot · 18/04/2015 22:36

Yes all fine, just minor damage to my car, other car was fine. It was a learner driver who stopped dead in the road and I went into the back of her. Am I liable because I was behind?

splodge77 · 18/04/2015 22:40

Funny rasta man with huge dreds stopped me in the corner shop today saying "it's a boy, it's a boy" then did a little dance of delight when I told him he was right. Heh heh. Family sofa shopping outing today. DS tested them all out by jumping madly around on them. I'm wondering if timing of this big purchase is wise - prob will get covered in baby vom & boobmilk. Ah well. Hope u r ok wil! Thumbs up to pineapple pizza from me.

Fleurchamp · 18/04/2015 22:44

Hope you're ok wil yeah, I think the rule of thumb is if you go in to the back of someone it's your fault, unfortunately.

So tired, a long but productive day, have started buying things for the baby Grin did I really read £3 or were some zeros missing?!??

Purpleball · 18/04/2015 22:44

Wow wil, hope you're all ok. Cars can be fixed or replaced, not so much kids. I smashed my car up the day of the MC last year, took a month to get it back and my renewal has gone up a lot!

Thanks La I feel better now. I just got a bit paranoid that I'm eating too much and that it's not baby weight (have huge weight/body issues)

I'm thankful for a normal family after hearing about some of yours. Although my mum has gone away without dying my hair first Hmm
I did forget to ask her though

Tee I love your trainers announcement, I know someone else who did the same thing. We did a post with a pic of the Paris babygro, the 13 week scan pic and 2 mugs I got off amazon (keep calm I'm going to be a mum/dad)

Pineapple is essential pizza topping. I like it with pepperoni - it cuts through the salty/savoury. I also like a good old ham and pineapple too. I don't like it with chicken or mushrooms though

Had a lovely day out with the girls today. One of my friends has just qualified as a HV and had some good advice. I had a wee glass of wine too. I must not make a habit of it. I just felt a bit left out although I did have a nojito in revolution later on Smile and it was yummy. I got lots of 'you're looking well' comments Smile
They all know about my weight battles and it made me feel better.
I'm knackered now though and had a total hormonal meltdown on DH when I got back as he'd done nothing about tea...he had washed he bedding and done loads of gardening though. Poor bloke!

Oops epic post Smile

gaggiagirl · 18/04/2015 22:46

Good for you rm! You're my hero! Like mountain said, its made me feel better about not making new baby purchases. Although I will swill out the wheelbarrow nearer the time so baby can travel in style Wink

DulcetMoans · 18/04/2015 22:46

I think so wil, normally. Unless there are exceptional circumstances. DH had a shunt at a roundabout when he was learning (apparently he stopped for some seagulls...). Will ask him if he knows what happened for that claim.

We recently got new sofas splodge and I thought the same thing!

LaLaLaaaa · 18/04/2015 22:50

No such thing as seagulls... ;) sorry couldn't resist! Following on from Nigel the seagull

Glad you're ok wil! No idea who would be at fault.

I bet rm spent a million quid at baby show today after all that thriftiness, probably not though...

Purple - body issues here too. Not enjoying the weight gain :(

rm00054 · 18/04/2015 23:33

Baby show was really good fun! Got LOADS of freebies, and I won first prize in a raffle to get a free baby swaddle (which was about the only thing I would've been tempted to buy anyway). Grin Grin
Went to a short seminar on hypnobirthing which has made me certain it's for me. Also tried different baby slings. Got my heart set on a specific one now though, but no one seems to be selling it second hand anywhere Sad No way I can justify spending £40+ on a bit of fabric!

Yes folks, I've spent a grand total of £3 on baby! Sorry! (Even got the baby show tickets for free!)
Before ttc DH and I sat down to look at our finances and decided we really couldn't afford children. But it's been both of our dreams to have a big family so we decided to ttc but be super sensible with our purchases.
I think we've been amazingly lucky, we've got really great quality things and I am just overwhelmed by the general population's generosity! But it has meant not being fussy about brands / colours, and being humble enough to let friends know we're in need.
The 2 things I have bought is a changing mat (£1, ebay) and a Cath Kidston changing bag (£2, local Facebook selling page). Most things have come from freecycle (cot, baby bath, bedding / clothing bundles, bouncer, chest of draws, toys, baby borjn sling, play mat), friends (and even friends of friends) giving things away (wardrobe, loads more clothes, Moses basket & stand, breast pump, bedding, travel system!) and signing up to all the mum-to-be websites and clubs for their prize draws / coupons (bottles, dummy, wipes, toiletries, swaddle blanket, cuddley toys). I've also made a blanket and some toys out of fabrics I had laying around.
It's been hard work, but definitely worth it! I'm considering writing a 'how to do baby on a budget' manual. And although I can definitely afford to buy baby some stuff, I'm sure it really won't care about material things as long as it knows it is loved. That's what I'm hoping anyway!

rm00054 · 18/04/2015 23:36

Also, pineapple on pizza?! Just no.

teejayem · 19/04/2015 06:16

Ugh, having a rinse and repeat of yesterday, went to bed feeling okay, maybe a bit bloated and uncomfortable and then I was awake at 2, 4 and now six with nausea and heartburn and weird digestive like cramp feelings. Tiny tee is going mental which isn't helping. I've had water, gaviscon, walked around, got on hands and knees....just had a paracetamol and hoping I can keep it down. God knows what position he's got himself in to make it this unpleasant Confused

LaLaLaaaa · 19/04/2015 07:08

:( tee that's not good hope you feel better soon

RM that's admirable! Definitely write your book!

We've kept costs down as much as we can and it's become a game with us to decide on something we want then try to get it for as cheap as possible. All the baby clothes I have so far were given to me by a friend. We got a £275 cot bed from mamas and papas for £35. I got a caboo half price because it had been returned by someone due to having a frayed cord (who cares if a cord is frayed?!). I bought bouncer, swing chair and play mat from Facebook group 2nd hand. Have breast pump, baby bath, tens machine, bottles etc all free from friends. The only things we've spent lots on are the safety things - travel system, car seat, familyfix base. I signed up to boots baby club and used all their offers and I've been buying one toiletry thing for baby a week with our tesco shop. My mum is making the nursery curtains and she bought us the snuzpod.

I have a spreadsheet showing me what everything for baby should cost if we bought it new and what we actually paid. Actual cost new is over £3000, but we are still under £1000 (most of that is the buggy). We've got just about everything now . Only things still needed are monitor and bedding. My friend said she'd give us her swaddle pods and cellular blankets yesterday, so I just need to get whatever else Smile

It's satisfying knowing we haven't been silly and spent money we don't have. It's meant I could concentrate on paying off the rest of our debt in time for mat leave and we are on track to do that now.

I've also sold loads of stuff which has offset any money spent - sold all my CDs, my horse, body protector (very expensive one!), horse tack, some furniture and all our unused electronic stuff. So in reality we've probably actually not spent anything new! The money from my horse is also going to help with mat leave because she pays me for him in monthly instalments.

I am going to treat myself to a new changing bag though with my own money! :) I'm allowed this one thing!

DulcetMoans · 19/04/2015 07:10

Haha. We had that conversation la but realised that, whilst I know Nigel is a rock gull, I no longer know a collective term for a group of gulls of unknown origins! Is there one?!

Bad news wil, he said even then it was the driver behind at fault for not leaving adequate stopping distance. If it had been a child and not a group of 'gulls of unknown origins' then there should have been stopping distance to prevent the shunt so was the car behind that paid. Hope it's not too big a bump in your cars.

Sounds awful tee. Is it worth speaking to anyone? You can't feel like this every night!

Good for you rm! I'm good at thrift but obviously not that good!

WilHarlot · 19/04/2015 07:15

Where is the pain Tee? Maybe you should phone midwife for a chat?

Also not a fan of pineapple on pizza or sweet and sour. Can eat both if I have to but surely everyone knows it's not right? Wink

WilHarlot · 19/04/2015 07:25

Ah I thought as much Dulcet, thanks though. I think my brakes are shit. I've had new ones put in and then them looked at again but I'm still not happy with them. Not sure what the problem is. Thankfully the girls were ok which is all that matters. One more bump on my car will hardly be noticeable.

La just be mindful of your hip issues before settling on swaddling. Ergo and someone else who I've forgotten do sleeping bags which just swaddle the arms, in case you want to look at them.

LaLaLaaaa · 19/04/2015 07:34

:( that seems highly unfair, really sorry wil. But you're right that at least the girls were ok and it was minor

Still a colony, dulcet :) whatever the species

Wil they reckon it's unlikely my baby will have dysplasia because he's a boy and it generally affects girls, but I've got a sticker on the front of my maternity pink notes that says he's going to be scanned at birth to see. I'll have a look at the ergo swaddle things though thanks so much!

Off to the baby show hooray! Need to be sensible and not suddenly decide I'm rich and can afford stuff!

WilHarlot · 19/04/2015 07:53

What's the chat about seagulls?

Enjoy baby show La!

I would probably kill someone right now for a bacon roll. Sadly it's Sunday so the roll shop is closed. Sad
