Did the last November bus crash without a new thread? Worry not, here we are again! Toot toot!

Good luck today to all the Wednesday scanners, and congrats to all those already happily scanned!

Newmrs fingers especially crossed for you, you sound like you're dealing with things well, the waiting must be really hard.

Blue hope your arse isn't too bruised!

Getting a bit nervous for my scan and tests tomorrow now...

Focusfocus · 29/04/2015 10:19

All best to today's wave of scanees! Waiting to see pics :)

Best of luck to you all today, fingers crossed everything goes well!!

I'm tomorrow morning, anyone else with me?

BowiesJumper · 29/04/2015 11:45

I've got my 20 week scan appointment already (in June)! Very efficient.

TakesTwoToTango · 29/04/2015 12:18

Good luck to today's scanees!!

blue I hope you are feeling led sore and shaken today.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 29/04/2015 12:32

Good luck to all!

DH said today about us going somewhere in late October. Is he the most forgetful man ever? I reminded him I'll be 38 weeks and probably be giving birth. DS was 36 weeks so he has no excuse for thinking due dates are set in stone!

Focusfocus · 29/04/2015 12:37

I've also got my 20 week scan date set for 23d June - they did it straight away after the 12 week! Xx

BowiesJumper · 29/04/2015 12:49

Haha Abbey, I love that. Where did he have in mind?

cryingbabymess · 29/04/2015 12:50

Only a week until my scan! I cannot wait!!! Spoke to my OH about the Calvin Harris concert I'm supposed to go to in August, he's really not keen on me going so I'll just sell my ticket but I've told him he needs to take me away for the weekend instead! Wink

He's also just text to say that one of the ladies he works with has announced to everyone at work that she's due in December....he's still not announced ours to his work as we're waiting until the scan but each to their own.....

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 29/04/2015 12:53

It was a gig in the UK but still I kind of need to be near the hospital! We had this nonsense last time actually. He wanted to go to Edinburgh (from London) when I was 35 weeks. I said no as I had a feeling something might happen and I was uncomfortable sitting at a desk let alone a car for hours. All his family thinking I'm a silly first time mum etc.
I wasn't in the frame of mind for an 'I told you so' when I had DS!

BowiesJumper · 29/04/2015 12:59

You had the moral high ground there Abbey!

Crying, I wouldn't want to announce to work before the scan but yes, each to their own!! Fingers crossed she has a healthy pregnancy. She obviously just got a bit excited!

TakesTwoToTango · 29/04/2015 12:59

Yes a week to go for me to crying! Fingers and toes crossed.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 29/04/2015 13:05

Everyone should do what they feel comfortable with but I always feel a bit, I don't know, funny about early announcements. There was one on Facebook the other day and not everyone is that good friends with her. Still each to their own. In a way it must be nice to be blissfully unaware of the things that can happen.
I've still not told hardly anyone at 14 weeks! But I realise I'm weird Grin

Blueblink · 29/04/2015 13:13

Hi all, feeling bruised but otherwise fine! I do think it was something to do with the fact i worked a 14 1/2 hr day on Monday! Shock My boss knows I am pg, but i work in events and overtime is expected!
Hope everyone else is OK and todays scanners all go well, can't wait for more pics!

Lauramum23 · 29/04/2015 13:27

hello everyone I have been booked officially in and should get my scan date through soon I asked for a Monday as I wont be at work so fingers crossed it will be the first Monday when im 12 weeks! so 2 weeks time.
I had to walk the 2.9 miles to hospital as car is broken again but my dad picked me up as I was too hungry to walk back.
got the bounty information pack blimey theres some shit to read through!! has anyone picked up their packs from boots/argos yet?
where is best to get them from or have they got same contents?
im tired out and cold again so im just sat on my arse till I go to pick kids up from school I hope it doesn't rain again like this morning!
looking forward to some scan picsx xx

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 29/04/2015 13:40

I got a Bounty pack at my booking in Laura and it said "pregnant" in giant pink letters on it and wouldn't fit in my bag!
Do keep in mind they are a marketing company so any tips / advice in the pack is to get you to buy stuff rather than being NHS advice. Sometimes there's good freebies though
I was in hospital 8 days with DS and the same Bounty lady (wondering why she never got a day off?) kept bursting in saying "Boun-tieeeeee" in a stupid voice every day. I was pretty annoyed with her by the end as she seemed to have no memory of having seen me before every day! Either than or she thought I'd give in and buy a photo

ChicBabyP · 29/04/2015 13:50

Abbey, I didn't tell anyone till 18 weeks last timeBlush! I had no bump whatsoever and only told family at 14 wks... I'm Also a very private person and just don't feel the need to publicize stuff (I have a Facebook page but there's nothing on it, I'm that kind of person).
This time I already have a little bump so not sure I can stay under the radar for that long.

Had my 12 wk scan today and all went very well. Didn't even take as long as I'd imagined with twins. It was our first meeting with the consultant and he was very nice and very reassuring. I can probably stop the clexane injections I've been on as he says the blood flow is really good as is, so very happy with that and no more poking for meSmile.
Have to wait a week or so for the harmony test results but fingers crossed all will be well as otherwise it is a very complicated process with twins. Obviously hoping all is well anyways...

Can't wait to hear all the other scanees news today!

Lauramum23 · 29/04/2015 13:53

don't think bounty or emmas diary is liked much on mumsnet lol
I just like a freebie!! and coupons never go amiss either. I have never had the photo done tho with any of my 3 as I always thought they would be expensive but flicking through the booklet and there is a coupon for free mini photos and a keyring I may do that as it might be nice for my kids to have one each (thinking way ahead of myself now lol) and I always liked them mini sudocrems for changing bags.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 29/04/2015 13:56

Chic I'm glad it's not just me! I just don't like a fuss really and quite like being in my bubble for now. I guess you won't be able to hide long with twins though. Glad everything went well.
It's getting a little awkward now as SIL is due around the same time and we have a wedding coming up. She was saying "at least you can drink" and stuff like that and usual pregnancy moaning people do. I always try not to lie so didn't really say much. She can have all the attention at the wedding anyway as it's not really my personality to enjoy relatives fussing. I'll definitely wait until after to announce

Lauramum23 · 29/04/2015 13:57

oh and in other news today.............. I gave in and put maternity jeans on!!!!!! shocking jeeez im only 10 weeks but I was sick of hoisting my regular ones up plus squeezing my guts in and making me feel queezy!
please tell me im not the only one.............

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 29/04/2015 14:05

I've got my maternity stuff out of the attic too! I don't really need it yet but the jeans are so soft so I'm wearing them Grin I kinda missed them
Mixing it up with my own clothes too though so it's not obvious

tootsroots · 29/04/2015 14:12

focus Dpup is gorgeous!

Whinge alert .

I told some of girls last night... three were over the moon, and three.. well bored silence. I know i am the second to announce pregnancy in 2 weeks, the first two to do it too but a little more than good for you or a smile? One even said, well we knew you were trying... funny - i never told a soul. Given how ill i had been and stuff i think i have blown how precious and excited i am out of proportion and expected happiness so rather selfish of me but ugh.

BowiesJumper · 29/04/2015 14:18

I don't think I need maternity stuff just yet, although I haven't tried jeans for a week or two. I usually wear skirts and they're all either elasticated waists or stretchy so will last me a good while yet!

BlueBananas · 29/04/2015 14:22

Abbey DP told me today he booking on to some outdoor assault course boot camp day type of thing on the 7th Nov...Hmm I'm due on the 5th!
Told him he's a moron and he's booking nothing and he called me a spoilsport!! Shock moron!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 29/04/2015 14:37

What is it with DPs Blue! DH missed a few football away games when DS was born. I told him ok you can book them but you might lose your money... he did
Yours is pretty much your due date though, wow!
