Scanner here! Took 45 mins due to beans excessive wiggliness and showing us it's back! A bottle of water helped! Poor thing must be knackered! Edd 31st off making me 13+2 ! And Downs combined thing was low low low risk. Phew.

Great stuff toots
I've noticed loads of women on this thread getting their Down's results straight away - is that NHS? Mine come in the post at some point. It was a handwritten letter last pregnancy so maybe they've moved into the future with a printer this time? I shall wait and see. Its been over a week so I hear that's good

mrsscarlettbutler · 27/04/2015 13:45

Ahh lovely pic Toots and we are now due date buddies as mine was moved to 31st Oct too! Also had a very wriggly bean who kept turning around, and ours took about the same amount of time - must be something to do with being due on Halloween....

I've just been out to get lunch, and accidentally bought 3 sandwiches Blush I just didnt know what I fancied so thought this might be the best solution. I probably won't eat them all in one go. But I might.

Focus your diet puts me to shame!!

tootsroots · 27/04/2015 13:48

i had bloods last week and they measured and typed it into a screen there and then and said.. all good! (1:13053) . St Georges Tooting.

Am back there this afternoon for a Obstetrics appt that no one can tell me what it is for.. i just got sent a letter!

MrsScarlett! Bring it on!! pumpkins!

TakesTwoToTango · 27/04/2015 13:48

Yey toots great news!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 27/04/2015 13:51

That's a really good idea toots to do the bloods first and then instant results. Probably saves them money on the postage too

ehealy · 27/04/2015 13:54

I too am lingering to read everybody's news about scans and to hear how blue gets on. Latest symptoms is a massive outbreak of pimpley skin on my face like when I was 16/17 and a dull headache I just can't shake off. I had to sleep a lot this week whilst visiting inlaws. Stressed out about work and money. DP is doing all he can to help and he now worries about me worrying. Any suggestions for the skin problem?

mrsscarlettbutler · 27/04/2015 13:56

UCH were similar - I got my results about an hour after the scan which was fine as we just went and got a coffee in between. Was a bit random though as I had a load of blood taken in the morning as I had my booking in, then when I went to get the scan in the afternoon the sonographer said 'before you come in, we need some blood from you' very confusing as I assumed they'd taken it in the morning....
AND they used the same arm, which is still black and blue from having two seperate lots of blood taken in one day.

But glad they did it so I got the downs screening result on the same day.

goodenoughmum88 · 27/04/2015 13:57

Yay to more energy, scan pics and bumps, mine seems so early, scans not til next week but I estimate I'm 11 weeks 1 day today. Energy is good, even managed a jog on Friday morning and just dusted for possibly the first time since I tested positive?!? (Living room was looking like it would make miss havesham whip out the pledge). Now just need to get my speed up so I can keep up with my 2 year old ds, he's so bloody quick and wilful!!!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 27/04/2015 14:02

That's such a good system with the bloods. I was at Whittington last time and Watford this time and both are on the letter system

ChicBabyP · 27/04/2015 14:09

Toots what a lovely bean you have there!
I had my down's bloods this morning which turned out to be something similar to the harmony test (I'm abroad and not too sure how things are done here) and consultant showed up and said I needed a quick scan too so I was all too happy to oblige! Saw my two wriggling beans and managed to get one NT measurement which was very low. Although I am having my proper 12 weeks scan on Wednesday still....
I've also noticed over the weekend that when laying on my back I have already a little hard bump just below my navel. When I ask the dr this morning if this could be it she said no, way too early, but then she checked and hello, you're uterus is already all the way up there she said!

I'm jealous of all the healthy diets here, well done to you ladies. I seem to be constantly hungry but never know what to eat and can't be bothered to make stuff... I'm borderline underweight so really need to up my game or there'll be nothing left of me when these 2 are done feeding off me. Shock
Hoping to hear some more good scan news today!

NewMrsX · 27/04/2015 14:39

Been for my 12 week scan and got put forward another 2 days. From my early scan I was thinking I was at 12 weeks exactly but today I have measured at 12+2. EDD now 7/11.

Baby was really bouncing about in there! It's strange that I can't feel anything. It meant they couldn't get the measurement very easily though which was a pain as I had to leave for half an hour and have a walk to see if baby would move which wasn't fun with a full bladder. Got it eventually, it's 2.9mm which she said was within normal range but that's at the top end of normal isn't it? I too have to wait 3 days for a phone call or 2 weeks for a letter.

I had the worst nights sleep ever last night which I think was nerves. I felt terrible. As soon as I saw baby on the screen I burst into tears!

Looking forward to hearing everyone else's news Smile

TakesTwoToTango · 27/04/2015 14:44

Lovely pic newmrs! I think anything under 3.5mm is considered perfectly normal, so you're fine. Also, I think I can see the nasal bone quite clearly in your scan pic, which I believe is also a good sign Smile

BowiesJumper · 27/04/2015 15:00

Hey hey!

Lovely scan! Of course my bladder was too full so I had to go and do a quick wee before they started. And then the baby was wriggling around alllll over the place and was a bit camera shy! The picture is a bit blurry as a consequence.

All lovely though, good strong heartbeat, low nuchal measurement etc, all the right bits in the right places at this stage! They did have to wobble my belly a fair bit to get the baby move around though, bit embarrassing how much it wobbled (my belly, not the baby) Haha.

I've just got to wait for the blood results. Because of my age I'm a 1 in 500 without taking into account the bloods or nuchal. They call you if it's high risk and text you if it's low apparently.

Here's the little naughty one -

tootsroots · 27/04/2015 15:46

What pretty scans Mrsx and bowies! Did your edd change?

Focusfocus · 27/04/2015 15:48

ahhhhhh look at all those weeeee babies bubbling and rolling away!!!! Wonderful that the scans went well :)

Bowies is that a nub I see sticking out?! Thats quite a nub if its a nub, and you can place a Focus guess on boy!

To whoever mentioned pimply skin - oh dont talk about it! My chest, forehead, under-chin and side burn lines are covered in sesame seed like little breakouts all over. Its like I am 13 again. Some mornings I ven find a disgusting armpit one (no such thing as TMI I guess here).

Congrats to all scanneees. Hope we are all feeling a bit relieved! I know I am!

Oh: I did an Amazon test calld Gender Maker - a wee test. It says girl for us! We will know next month :P

OP posts:
Focusfocus · 27/04/2015 15:49

Oh actually bowies I think the nub is the one on the left isnt it? that changes things! Its pointing downwards in elation to spine. Ah I've changed my guess and now I have a 50% chance of being right.

annatha · 27/04/2015 15:50

I had my scan this afternoon and I'm not 12+5, I'm 10+5!! My due date is now 18th Nov which is actually brilliant because unless the baby comes two weeks early chances are I'll still be able to celebrate my dd's 1st birthday. I'm not bothering to upload my pic as its just a tiny little blurry jellybean, but I'm going back in two weeks for another scan and the tests etc then.

flyingsprocket · 27/04/2015 15:58

Great scan news ladies! I too have been eating all around me. I haven't put on any weight at all but I've definitely changed shape. Where once there was muscle now there is wobble Blush how quickly it changes! I'm usually pretty fit and I'm even finding walking around a golf course tough already.

Less than 48 hours for my scan.

Just hoping blue is ok......

BowiesJumper · 27/04/2015 16:02

Haha, no idea about nubs Focus! I couldn't tell what I was looking at half the time!

toots my EDD did change yes, from 7/11 to 2/11, so I'm 13 weeks today instead of 12+2!

cryingbabymess · 27/04/2015 16:11

I keep popping back to see if blue has posted, I've had my fingers crossed all day for her!

Super jealous of all you guys having scans today! I've still 9 days to wait! At least it's into single figures! I keep forgetting I need to have a full bladder!!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 27/04/2015 16:14

annatha thats what happened to me with ds. I only had 1 period inbetween giving birth to dd and getting pregnant with ds. I'm assuming you've had similar, so your body's still not gotten back to a normal routine yet. just be grateful for a cheeky extra scan Wink

BlueBananas · 27/04/2015 16:14

Hellooooo!
I'm back from the hospital, feel like I waited around for hours then was in & out of my tests in 10 minutes! Annoying!
Anyway everything is fine, they said they can see no reason for the bleed, nothing wrong atall
Had a scan and saw a huge (it was really big!) wriggly baby with a very strong heartbeat Grin
I'm so relieved I can't even tell you
Oh and she's put me at 12+4 not 12+0 like I thought, will get a definite date on Wednesday at my dating scan she said
But yeah, all fine! I can exhale now Grin

Congrats to everyone else on their lovely scans Smile

tootsroots · 27/04/2015 16:24
