Ooh so many of us scanning on 6th May! It will be nice to have company Grin

TakesTwoToTango · 17/04/2015 20:50

Focus are you around?! I need some foody suggestions of lovely nutritious things I can make for dinner (that I might actually fancy/be able to stomach)!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 17/04/2015 20:51

Such lovely scan pictures! I can't wait for mine on the 27th, I'll be exactly 12 weeks. Bowie is yours the same day?

Am I the only person with quite small boobs that haven't grown much? I'm not complaining as it means I don't have to spend money just yet!

ch1134 · 17/04/2015 21:31

I had 32C boobs before my first - went up to 34E just before having him and while breastfeeding. Now I've stopped breastfeeding they must be a B cup at the most. And now I'm 9 weeks pregnant no change. Can't help but worry a little at my lack of symptoms. last time I had no nausea and all was fine, but I was tired and had bigger/ sore boobs. This time - just hungry!

SnozzberryPie · 17/04/2015 21:40

Annbag I have a copy of my birth notes from last time, you should be able to request a copy from the hospital.

Blueblink · 17/04/2015 21:43

newmrs I'm a 34C and can't say they've grown at all and I'm 9+6 today! My DP was expecting me to wake up with massive knockers the day after we found out I was pg! He is still sulking!

Was at a family gathering today and my step sister asked me in front of my whole family whether we're thinking of having a DC3! I was quite pleased with my poker face as I said we haven't ruled it out, but they'll probably all say they knew anyway when we finally come clean!

reb2g08 · 17/04/2015 22:42

Well done Dixiebell what did you say? I am worried this will happen we have a family BBQ in two weeks and my bump looks quite obvious! We don't want to tell people until 14 weeks so not sure what to say if they ask!

annatha · 17/04/2015 22:50

Well done Dixie, I would have struggled!
Annbag that's madness! I can't imagine wanting anyone else other than my dh with me. Scans are wonderfully special but also nerve wracking and I couldn't face processing bad news with all those people around me. I'm a bit of a lone ranger though, I forbid anyone other than dh from visiting the hospital last time as I wanted some time to process what had just happened. Family descended the day after I got home and I frequently disappeared upstairs to "feed dd", though sometimes just to sit and cuddle her in the quiet. My head was quite mashed after the birth!

sophiaslullaby · 18/04/2015 03:21

Sad3.20am and been wide awake for an hour. I'm going crazy with worry because still don't have a scan date. I had my booking in app. just over 2 weeks ago and I'll be 12 weeks on Tuesday.

My midwife is a stand in (manager/head midwife) as my town currently is re-recruiting so you'd think id be in the best hands but she hasn't returned my calls this week.

Now told i need to call the drop in centre tomorrow morning to voice my concerns (im feeling dubious they will help) or wait until.monday to call scan dept. directly.

So now sat downstairs worrying it'll all be too late and i'll miss the nuchal test etc. Why has this happened? I informed nhs of my pregnancy at 5weeks?!

Sorry for moan just feeling bit upset when i've done all i can (short of scanning myself!!)

Focusfocus · 18/04/2015 03:38

Takes two, just saw this!

What temperature food do you fancy now - hot or cold?
What textures? Crunchy or soft?
What flavours? Tart, sweet, salty, hot, chinesey? Fast foody? Blandishey?

A lot would depend on that - so, if you're after say - cold, crunchy, tart stuff - you could have mini baby veggies with some chutney like dip to start, a cold salad made with some protein like chickpeas, prawns or cooled boiled lean chicken, cold rice and a herby lemon dressing.

But if you're after hot meals, cooked meals, then I'd suggest different things.

If you give me an idea of what you can stomach right now in terms of temps, textures and flavours, I can try to take it from there.

Morning sophiaslullaby I can't sleep either but it's mostly wind and needing a pee keeping me awake And obsessing that there is no bean so just peed in another stick to be sure. Hmm a nice strong line again Blush

Try not to worry there is still time for the nuchal scan if you chase on monday as it can be done up to 13+6 as far as I know.

Sending sleepy sweet dreams to you. The early hours a can really make your head spin. Flowers

sophiaslullaby · 18/04/2015 04:04

Sad thankyou ninja. I've now got bellyache, nothing to worry, think i've just worked myself up. Im very independant and more than capable to calling doctors/nhs etc. to get what needs to be done but im just facing brick walls so now feel small and 'forgotten'.

So if i push i should get the nuchal test and scan?

This is tiredness talking, i've been so calm in the pregnancy up til now! Little bean is going to be a stresshead afterall! I'll accept the sleepy sweet dreams from you and go back to bed.

Hope the wind (weather or dinner consequence?!) quietens for you -the peeing fully empathise with!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 18/04/2015 07:15

I am so windy. It would be funny but my tummy is always so fucking uncomfortable all night that it's keeping me awake for hours.

BowiesJumper · 18/04/2015 07:29

NewMrs yes same date! Can't wait. I'm trying to stop worrying that they'll find something wrong.

Sophia, ring the scan dept directly on Monday morning. They're probably just slow at sending out the letters.

flyingsprocket · 18/04/2015 09:17

I went to a gig last night, no seating. Man I was so uncomfortable! My back was in agony by the end of it, I spent most of the night leaning against the bar in the corner for some support- perhaps I looked drunk!

I'm going to one of the big concerts in Hyde Park in June when I'll be 19 weeks, I've seen plenty of pregnant women at concerts & festivals in my time so hopefully my back won't be so tired by then, right???

I've never been to a gig in Hyde Park before, if anyone on here has do you know if it's big enough that you could take a picnic blanket & chill out at the back?

roughtyping · 18/04/2015 09:57

flying is it on sat 20 June by any chance? Smile we're going down for the weekend for a gig at Hyde park. Not sure about blankets - will ask DH, he went a few years ago. I hope so though - I have hypermobility syndrome and have been a complete loser at gigs for the last few years, in that I need a seat otherwise I end up just about crying in pain. Fun!

roughtyping · 18/04/2015 09:57

All I remember him saying was that you could buy domino's pizza but it was £5 a slice Shock

sophiaslullaby · 18/04/2015 10:14

bowiesjumper the drop in clinic sent an email to scan dept but also said the same as you and to call on monday so fingers crossed i'll wear 'em down! Hate to bug them but it's keeping me up at night now so enough!

Ooo, Hyde Park gig sounds fun! Especially if the weather is great like today. Maybe take your own food though! Smile

Poppyninja · 18/04/2015 10:23

Hyde park will be ace! I'm supposed to be going to Glastonbury in June. No idea if I'll feel up to it or not, or want to curl up and sleep the entire time, or just be grumpy and uncomfortable. Usually go for a full week and no clue what to do this year. Any thoughts? Anyone done a festival whilst pregnant?

TwoBeesInTheHive · 18/04/2015 10:49

was suprised this morning whilst laying in bed with wonderfull baby flutters! I'm only 9 weeks but there is no mistaking that feeling! Grin I remember I felt ds at 14 weeks in my 2nd pregnancy, alot earlier than my first, but wasn't expecting it so early this time! quite reassuring seeing as we haven't had a scan yet Smile

flyingsprocket · 18/04/2015 11:04

We're going on June 18th, The Strokes & Beck. Just had a look on the website & it looks kind of like a mini festival so should be fine for lounging around at the back, I'm sure my friends will understand/won't notice because they're drunk/having too much fun!

poppyninja a friend went to Glastonbury when PG, she loved it. I think she was about 24 weeks & they had a campervan, I'm not sure how Id feel about regular camping! I've never been but would LOVE to.

Wow twobees flutters, that's amazing!
