If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

Thankyou Tango, I'm trying not to panic, wasn't sure if I was ok to use a hot water bottle I'll get one now
I've definitely ate too much enough, but probably not drank as much as usual tbf
I haven't had any scans yet no, isn't ectopic pain usually all on one side? I'm 9+5
I've no idea what sciatica is snozzberry, does it sound like this?

Sorry for the 85 questions, I don't usually get pains during my pregnancies this is all very new

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 21:38

You shouldn't put a very hot hot water bottle on your tummy, but you should be okay with ones that's just warm, esp if you use it mainly on your back.

I think ectopic pain is usually one sided yes, but sometimes things can present strangling, so I was just checking (I think bizarrely shoulder tip or rib cage/diaphragm pain can also be signs of ectopic but it doesn't sound like that is what you are experiencing). I would also have thought 9+5 is a bit late for ex topic to show itself - though I am not a doctor!!

Could it be a urine infection/kidney infection? They are very common in pg and can be really painful.

I take it you don't have any bleeding? That is a good sign.

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 21:39

strangely

BlueBananas · 11/04/2015 22:04

Ok I'm lay in bed with a warm water bottle and I've taken a paracetamol, only seem to get the shooting pains when I'm standing so just going to stay down! Haven't had any bleeding no
Suppose it could be a UTI, I do get quite a lot of these but never with these shooting pains so didn't even think
If in still in pain in the morning I'll ring out of hours I think, but for tonight thank you so much for calming me, I sound a bit hysterical don't i so just going to try to relax for tonight now x

annatha · 11/04/2015 22:16

bluebananas is it like crampy, like extreme pins and needles? I had sciatica brought on by being on my feet all day at work last time and it sounds similar. If it's still bad in the morning I'd go to the doctor but even it it wears off its worth mentioning to the midwife at your next appointment.

BlueBananas · 11/04/2015 22:25

ann I have a constant pain in my lower stomach and back, that's kind of like a dull ache, heavy sort of feeling. Then the shooting pain is hard to describe, it sort of feels like an internal punch from underneath that kind of travels up, yes it is slightly tingly as it wears off. I can't sit down now it hurts that bone that you sit on, I need to be lay
Does this sound familiar? It's so hard to describe! I have done a lot of walking this week too with the kids being off and it being sunny
Besides my scan I won't be seeing a midwife till I'm 16 weeks now! Feels like an age away, maybe worth seeing/speaking to one especially?

Poppyninja · 11/04/2015 22:42

If its still bothering you and you're in pain, a call out of hours tomorrow wouldn't hurt. Better to be reassured than worrying xx

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 22:57

Hope you get a restful night blue and are feeling much better in the morning.

Crumbelina · 11/04/2015 23:19

Hope you feel better in the morning, Blue. Sad I've had all kinda of strange pains and cramps over the past few weeks. Some kind of stretching pain seems to have started this week. Hopefully it'll ease off by tomorrow morning.

Yep, I'm due on the 24 October. I was going to join the previous bus but it was pretty full by the time I came along! You're a lovely lot as well ... Smile

newbian · 12/04/2015 07:07

I weighed myself today and I've lost 2.5 kg since getting my BFP. I was nauseous for several weeks and now still struggling to eat more than tiny portions at a time. Should I be worried? I know they say the baby will take what it needs but I feel like I'm not doing my part to nourish it Sad

Unthoughtknown · 12/04/2015 08:45

Hope you're feeling better today blue.

Unthoughtknown · 12/04/2015 08:47

Newbian at my booking in appointment I asked about weight gain and the midwife said it was just as common to loose weight during 1st trimester. I've stayed the same so far (not much nausea).

flyingsprocket · 12/04/2015 08:48

Newbian I guess it depends on wether you can afford to lose that amount & still be a healthy weight. I really feel for you & others with rotten nausea. I just wanna eat everything I see at the moment. Like you said the baby is getting everything it needs from you at the moment.

blue I hope you're feeling better this morning. I get quite faint these days. My blood pressure at booking in was 90/50 so that could explain yours too? I also get really dull back ache if I stand for too long, even just cooking dinner makes me ache. I've been getting twinges of sciatica too but the pain you describe sounds more internal, sciatic pain kind of starts in the muscular part of your bum and can shoot down the back of your leg

If you're still in pain this morning call 111

TwoBeesInTheHive · 12/04/2015 09:52

I've stayed the same weight-wise so far. in both previous pregnancies I've lost about half a stone in the first trimester though (so a bit disappointed I haven't lost any this time lol) I'm 8 weeks today yay! and have definitely been feeling better thank goodness, was starting to get pretty miserable!
main thing for me at the moment is I can't seem to relax my stomach, I keep tensing it but its like I can't help doing it and it's droving me insane! and its making my stomach pretty sore and making me feel sick. not sure if its because of baby, stress or bloating. or all 3! anyone else have this??

newbian · 12/04/2015 10:31

Unthoughtknown good to hear that.

flyingsprocket I'm still at a decent weight - I'm very tall with a large frame - but just seems like it should be going the other direction! When I can eat I'm definitely going for filling options, but my appetite is just so sporadic that sometimes I'm stuffed or turned off by food after a few bites.

Seeing the doc on Friday at about 11 weeks so hoping all will be OK!

Blueblink · 12/04/2015 10:41

Cravings! I think they've started! This morning I woke up with a hankering for jam pancakes! I don't particularly have much of a sweet tooth normally and I don't think I've ever had jam pancakes before! They are Amazing!

BlueBananas · 12/04/2015 10:50

Thankyou all so much for being lovely while I was being hysterical ha! Flowers
I had a pretty rough night, kept getting the shooting pain every time I rolled over so was awake a lot during the night. Got a few hours this morning in the end and have woken up with no pain atall Grin hurrah!
I'm going to rest as much as possible with 2 kids on my own today and might ring the midwife tomorrow just in case it's anything she needs to know about

ThreeBeanRap · 12/04/2015 11:24

Yesterday and today I've had some brown spotting. Not in my underwear just when I wipe but it's definitely there. Called NHS direct today and they got an out of ours GP to call me back who basically said nothing they can do til tomorrow, and to try to book a scan then. Totally panicking that it's the start of a mc. I have a few mild cramps occasionally too. I'm 8+1 today. Anyone else had similar and it been ok?

BlueBananas · 12/04/2015 12:21

Ok I'm now getting the shooting pains again
Is it 111 I ring? Or shall I try to ring a community midwife?

Mamama31 · 12/04/2015 12:22

Coffee and threebean i had spotting (brown) every day for 2 weeks, the last few days it has tailed off and is very sparse and not every day now. I've had 2 scans, the first at 5+3 showing an empty sac, the second at 6+3 showing sac, yolk and fetal pole. I have another scan on wed at 7+3 and hoping to see the HB. I was told it seems to be progressing fine so far. These scans are all abdominal.

Lucy was your scan Transvaginal or abdominal? I'd say given my scans that it was maybe too early for HB as you have seen what I have seen on mine around the same timing.

Crumbelina what a great scan pic :)

Mamama31 · 12/04/2015 12:23

Bluebananas I hope you get seen today and all is well.

BlueBananas · 12/04/2015 12:54

Thankyou Mamama I can't do anything yet, the boilers gone do waiting in for British Gas & DP is going out to watch the football, he's says I can ring the doctor when he gets back Hmm I haven't got the energy to argue and we do need the boiler sorting so I'm just sitting tight for now

Mamama31 · 12/04/2015 13:07

Ah Blue that's not good, poor you! I hope you get sorted.

BlueBananas · 12/04/2015 13:11

Well I've just found out the football doesn't kick off till 4! So he was just blatantly taking the piss going out at 1, and meaning I wouldn't be able to see a doctor atall today because he wouldn't be home till 8ish by which time the kids would be in bed so we couldn't disappear to the doctors by then
So I'm ringing the doctor now and he can just deal with it, if he misses the football then he misses it he shouldn't have dicked me about should he Angry
...and breathe! He is thoroughly in my ha books right now!!

Mamama31 · 12/04/2015 13:26

Blue you are absolutely right, prioritise your health and your little one. Football is irrelevant right now!
