If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

ladystark I am lying on my bed next two two empty Hotel Chocolat packets. I am never going near the scales again. Bit depressed, was half way through my three stone weight loss project when this happened, and I can barely look at protein or vegetables now!!

Crumbelina · 11/04/2015 17:02

Just caught up on the thread - Neha I'm so sorry to hear your news. I'll keep everything crossed for you. Flowers

TakesTwo - you won't regret the new jeans. Wink

Beautiful scan pic Crumbelina. Smile

You know, I just had a count down the list, am being supersensitive about being an old preggo. Anyway, I'm not on there (will add when I make it to 12 weeks) but we are 20 something ladies aged 35 and older, and 40 something ladies below 35 ( with I think the majority being in their 30s). So much for fertility falling off a cliff in your mid 30s!

Crumbelina · 11/04/2015 17:21

Thanks NotSpartacus! I'm convinced it's a girl based on the skull shape and another photo which shows a very horizontal nub. Obviously there's no scientific evidence to back those theories up ... Wink

I love looking at the list and seeing so many of us over 30 (I'm 37 next month). My God, that falling off a cliff rubbish annoys me sooo much. I think it was Kirsty Allsop who was bleating on about that recently and telling us all to have babies by 27 - grrr! Angry

I'm spotting and having period pains :( didn't have a drop of blood in my last pregnancy. Really worried.

Crumbelina · 11/04/2015 17:48

Thanks Annbag! I work in stats too (social researcher). I think it grated particularly badly as it was in the news last year when I'd turned 36 and had been struggling to concieve for over a year.

I can't wait to see all the other 12 week scan pics from you all! Smile

Crumbelina · 11/04/2015 17:51

Oh Coffee - you poor thing. Sad You have a scan on Monday, yes? At least it's not long to wait. Fingers crossed for you.

neha I've got all my fingers & toes crossed for you x

coffee try not to worry, spotting is really common

I've just walked in the door to my scan appointment letter, I'll be exactly 12 weeks & a consultant appointment date when I'll be 15 weeks. It all seems just a little bit more real now

Focusfocus · 11/04/2015 18:29

What a lovely pic crumbelina!

We had our second part private scan today at 10 weeks. Babe is measuring 10.5 weeks actually (I've implanted early I know as I got my bfp 6 days before period was due).

Got everything crossed for Neha & Coffee

Can't believe we've got scan pics already! Crumbelina when are you due? I'm 9 weeks and due on the 9th, so if you're 12 weeks you can't be due in November can you?

I had to wear a bobble around my jeans button today...it begins!

Lucy61 · 11/04/2015 19:42

Hi everyone. Can I join you, please. I'm 7+2 today. I have one dc, this is my third pregnancy. I had an early miscarriage some months ago.
I had an early scan last week at 6+5. There was a sac and fetal pole but no heartbeat! I was told to come back in two weeks time for another scan as this could be a sign that things aren't developing well or that they scanned too early.
Has anyone had a similar experience/ have some positive stories to share.

ch1134 · 11/04/2015 20:05

I'm not on the list and I'm over 30! 32... I feel young but know in childbearing terms I'm really not!
Welcome Lucy. Hope it works out well for you.
Gorgeous baby picture Crumblina, thanks for sharing.

roughtyping · 11/04/2015 20:08

neha and coffee thinking of you both loads just now.

Had my sister's wedding yesterday, all fine, so tired though and feeling quite unwell today - sick-y and cold-y. Bleugh. Glad it's donor now! Dsis had a great day.

Scan on Thursday. I'm so nervous.

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 20:17

Congrats cumbelina and lady on good scans today!!! I thought we had some other scanners too today, hope all is going well x

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 20:22

coffee I had spotting with both of my children and all was fine (have also had spotting/bleeding in this go for three weeks so far and I've now had too good scans). All can be well even with spotting. Take it easy and see if you can relax. The discomfort could be normal too - I'm getting stretching pains and achy in my symphysis pubis joint that feels very like period pain but isn't. Do you have a midwife you can call or an out of hours gp who could set you up a scan?

Welcome Lucy, I hope you get some good news at your next scan Flowers

SnozzberryPie · 11/04/2015 21:00

Coffee and neha, I have my fingers and toes crossed for you.

It took us a total of two months trying at the grand old age of 36. I'm aware that we are lucky though.

I had lots of spotting early on with dd. I was sent to epu, scanned and told baby was measuring small, and told to come back in a week. Was told to prepare for bad news. Had a really horrible week waiting and expecting to miscarry. One week later there was a heartbeat Smile. So it does sometimes turn out OK.

Welcome Lucy and fingers crossed for you too.

BlueBananas · 11/04/2015 21:09

Ladies! I need your help ASAP!
I've been out shopping this afternoon, for about 3 hours in and out of the car, while I was out I started getting stomach & lower back pain and when I got home I almost fainted so just thought I'd overdone it a bit
Been home chilling out for a while now and the pain is getting stronger
Now I'm getting strong shooting pains that kind of feel like they're shooting up my bum, but on the inside if that makes sense? They're really painful and are taking my breath

Would you say these are normal I need to rest kind of pains? Or something more sinister? I'm stressing about these shooting pains?

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 21:26

blue try not to panic. Lie down if you can maybe with a warm hot water bottle and give it a while. How far along are you? Have you had any scans so far (I'm asking to rule out ectopic).

Normal pains in pg can be very severe at times. The pain you describe sounds a bit like what I've seen described on here as 'knitting need up the bum/fanjo', which lots of women seem to experience and I know I have! That said, all pain that hangs around should be checked out, so if it doesn't wear off (maybe take a paracetamol too?). Then maybe call the 111 out of hours service?

SnozzberryPie · 11/04/2015 21:27

Bananas could it be sciatica?

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 21:27

Also, are you well hydrated and have you eaten enough - lack of food and drink can make you feel faint and give you cramps in early pg.
