If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

Annatha I went through a beans on toast phase, then cheese and tomato on toast and now it's french toast....common theme though...im having a carb baby....

I booked a private scan for Tues I will be in my 10th week. Finally saw Dr on Wednesday who told me I can book the 12 wk scan myself but stroppy receptionist told me my midwife has to do it. Dr also told me to call to book midwife yesterday but midwife said they would contact me in 10 days! I'll be 12 weeks then so she put me through to an answer machine. Any suggestions? I'm tempted to just go there on Monday in person and demand they make my booking in appointment!

nehagarg · 11/04/2015 12:09

Thanks everyone. Just got out of the ultrasound. They say I am measuring at about 6 weeks whereas I was convinced I was 10. They havent detected a heartbeat yet and have asked me to come back next week to see if there has been any progress.

Anyone ever heard of this before? I have definitely missed two periods so even if I have my dates wrong - could they be this off?

Mamama31 · 11/04/2015 12:15

Neha I'm not sure about the date situation but I had a scan on wed at 6 and a half weeks and there was no HB as yet. I'm back this wed to hopefully see the HB.

It's so frustrating for you having to wait a week now, I hope it all goes ok next week for you.

cryingbabymess · 11/04/2015 12:19

I'm really breathless today! Just unloading the washing machine and was struggling! I assume this is to do with being ill anyway! It's making me panic which I know isn't good if you're breathless anyway! Just slightly worried! Hmm

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 11/04/2015 12:23

neha when did you have a positive test?
With my mc, I measured 6 weeks at 9 weeks. If I had been 6 weeks, it would have meant I had had a positive test over a week before conception even happened so I knew that it was bad news.
Are they going to rescan?

Focusfocus · 11/04/2015 12:34

Neha do you remember what date you got the positive pregnancy test. And the date of your last period? Those would help you establish how far along you are in weeks, even if they are not definite, owing to possibilities of Kate ovulation. Of course you can ovulate late, but you are saying there is 1 month of difference between the two figures, so I thought it's useful to figure out the lmp and first pregnancy test?

Mamama to my shame, mine yesterday was Maccie Ds, I made DH go to he drive thru for dinner Blush

Good luck with your scan Neha

NewMrsX · 11/04/2015 13:10

Thinking of you neha the waiting is horrible. Hopefully it's good news when you go back.

So I had my booking in appt on Weds at 9 weeks and I've put on 5lb since my bfp Sad I just haven't been able to control my eating with the nausea and anything healthy makes me feel worse. Has anyone else put on this much weight already?

I'm off work in bed today. First time I've been off this pregnancy and I feel guilty but I'm just so exhausted. I'm struggling with my 9pm finish days in work as the evenings are when I feel worst. Then today I was due back in for 7am and I just couldn't face it.

I can't even brush my teeth right now without gagging and breaking out in a sweat! Sorry for the moany post, hope everyone is feeling better than me

cryingbabymess · 11/04/2015 13:17

NewMrsX I've probably put on about a stone since my BFP! I can't stop eating! Although today is a different story I can't eat anything but ice poles!!! I'm working at 5, hopefully I can last the whole night as we're short staffed. I think I'm going to leave after this weekend.

It's a second job and not enjoying it anymore! Hmm Money would be good for bean but I don't wanna be stressed.

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 13:25

Oh neha how stressful for you Sad as others have said, if you have irregular cycles your dates could be off, but if you know when you got your bfp and it's more than 5 weeks ago, then it would seem unlikely that you are only 6 weeks. Is there any chance you could have had a chemical pg (A v early mc) and then conceived again immediately next cycle? Did you have any bleeding early on?

nehagarg · 11/04/2015 14:24

Hi TakesTwo ... Never had any bleeding so dont think i ever had an early miscarriage

Annbag - periods arent incredibly regular but they are usually no more than 5-6 days late. The date of my LMP was between the 25th and 30th of jan. I am not sure of the day. I missed the feb one and did a pregnancy test on the 2nd of march which said +ve. That was almost 6 weeks ago. So not sure how i can be only 6 weeks pregnant (NHS add another 2 weeks right?) ... To be honest, at this stage, it would be a miracle if they see growth at next week's rescan. :(

Anyway - thanks for the thoughts and kind words everyone. If it's good news - i'll be sure to update.

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 15:04

Sad it's does sound from your dates as if you should be measuring at least 9 weeks. Was it a trans-abdominal scan or a trans-vaginal one? I have heard of measurements being out at an early stage when taken trans-abdominally, if the woman has a tilted uterus for example.

Good luck for next week's scan and for the waiting in between, which is horribly hard. We will all be hoping and praying for that miracle for you!

nehagarg · 11/04/2015 15:15

It was trans-vaginal. That TakesTwo :)

nehagarg · 11/04/2015 15:16

I meant Thanks, not That. :)

ch1134 · 11/04/2015 15:27

Hope it all works out for you neha.
Still no symptoms here, except for an increase in appetite! I'm eating huge portions and always hungry! I've put on half a stone in 4 weeks! Luckily I was underweight before... I can't keep on like this though. Last pregnancy I craved fruit... this one it's just food!

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 15:38

ch1134 if you started off underweight it sounds like your body is doing exactly the right thing to keep you and the little one heathy! Go with it!

NotSpartacus · 11/04/2015 16:02

Neha i'm sorry things are not looking great. I know it's very hard being in limbo, and I hope you get some answers soon.

Overheard today from my daughters:
DD2: i wish mum would have a baby. I would be so excited to have a little sister.
DD1: Mum is too old to have babies now.

So that's me told!

Feeling mostly ok here. Still largely symptomless, which is a worry, but then I think maybe I have just got used to all these extra hormones. No tummy bloating or anything yet, boobs hardly sore anymore. But
I do have a disgusting tase in my mouth which I am taking as encouragement.

I have my scan for the Harmony test a week on Monday, but might just pop into the EPAU before then for a quick look. The problem is the harmony thing is at the Fetal Medical Centre and the last time
I was there I found out I was miscarrying, so really not wanting to be the sad case put in the "bad news room" ( complete with phone and box of tissues) again.

On the upside I self referred to hospital just last week after putting it off and have already had a call from a midwife who gave me her direct line and said she'll be looking after me through my pregnancy. If that is right it will be the best continuity of care I've ever seen from the NHS. Really impressed they called me so soon, too.
I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine Smile

TakesTwoToTango · 11/04/2015 16:17

Hahaha spartacus love the comments from your dd1!! My dd would like a little sister too and keeps asking if I have a baby in my tummy yet (how do they know???!). I have tried to tentatively to introduce the idea that you can't chose a girl or a boy but she insists that she already has a little brother so she doesn't need another one of those Grin

Crumbelina · 11/04/2015 16:56

Afternoon all,

I had the 12 week scan early this morning and all went well! I've hopefully included a pic - Bubba is 6cm and appears to have a big fat head and belly. They've estimated that it's 12+3 but I'm still convinced that it's 12w exactly due to my irregular periods. The nuchal measurement was 1.5mm (normal) but I'll get a phone call in a few days if I'm deemed to be high risk based on the blood test. If I don't hear anything from them by next weekend then I'll assume it ok to tell people.

I came home after the scan and promptly fell asleep. Probably the relief Smile.

LadyStark · 11/04/2015 16:56

My symptoms have tailed off a bit and finding a bit easier to eat healthier stuff now. However, the symptoms going made me worried and I went for another private scan today to put my mind at rest. It actually looks like a baby and was even wriggling around!

They put my dates back to original EDD of 31/10 but I'm pretty comfy here on the Nov thread so hope it's ok to stay!

That's very funny Spartacus!

TakesTwo - I think children do have a sixth sense about this kinda thing, my DD asked me a few weeks ago and I denied it. First thing she said today when we told her was 'I knew it Mummy! I even asked you' - she's 7yo though.

I daren't look at the scales Hmm

LadyStark · 11/04/2015 16:58
