Hi all, I'm pleased to say it went well! Baby measuring 9 weeks (I'm 8+5 by lmp). Hb 172 bpm. The implantation bleed that's been causing my issues is still visible on the scan but they are hopeful it will resolve itself.

Oh and I got my 12 weeks scan date for 6th may when I'll be 12+3.

I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow!! Nervous, nervous, nervous ...

That'll be followed by a bikini wax. They're going to be my pregnancy 'treat', especially in a few months when I can't really see/reach down there ...

Coffee I'm keen to see how yours goes as I will be as far on by wed as you are on Mon when you get your scan so we can compare notes haha!

Good luck coffee, mama and crumbelina! Can't believe we're starting the 12 wks scans already! Crumbelina, bikini wax is not my idea of a treat but I'm sure you'll feel more 'sorted' afterwards!

laura if you are asking me, it looked like a blob!! I'm only 8+5 so still a bit early to see anything really exciting. I think I caught a glimpse of limb buds at one point but they were mostly checking it was there, the right size and had a hb (and to see if they could find the cause of the bleeding), so didn't focus on the detail.

Yep, agree with TakesTwo, Laura. At 7+6 mine looked like a grey splodge shaped a bit like a erm, frog. Good to know something was there though and you might be able to see the flickering heartbeat.

You're right TakesTwo, it's not much of a treat! DH is yet to find out that I want to go to some nice fancy restaurants when the nausea has completely gone. I need something to make up for the lack of booze.

stace how are you feeling? Have the pills kicked-in? Hope you are feeling a bit more human.

I had exactly the same happen to me, I went for a scan at EPC on Tuesday due to bleeding and was 8+6 measuring 9 weeks on the scan, they too said the implantation bleed was still showing adjacent to the sac. Was reassuring to see the little bean, although now anxious again as don't have my booking in appt til next Friday and no 12 week scan appt yet.

Tip for expanding waistbands, I just use a hairband to 'do up' the button, works a bit like an extension!

Yes sorry taketwo it was a question for you and any others with early scans- you would think after 3 kids I'd remember lol!
I don't think I've had an early scan apart from my first child he's 11 now I think I had one around 7 weeks and I can remember a blob too! But with the other 2 I had a 12 week scan- amazing difference between 8 and 12 weeks tho! I suppose that's why we are so knackered they are growing at such an alarming rate it's zapping our energy! I think I read in my kids Human body book that if we carried on growing at the rate of a baby in the womb we would be as big as Mount Everest when fully grown! Interesting "did you know" there for ya!!
I hope I get my appointment through on Monday!

Takestwo I am getting there, thanks for asking. Still struggling with anything tomato based (chilli, lasagne, pasta etc) which is kind of the staple of my cooking, but eating a lot more now than I was. Lost 6lbs since BFP but I am overweight so not to worried as midwife said baby gets what it needs and I am the one that suffers (boy thats true!) But yes starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Hope you are feeling reassured after your scan :)

I'm in London, TakesTwo, so plenty of scope. I've already booked lunch at Sketch for my birthday next month.
