If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

I haven't bought anything baby related but I have purchased this awesome looking pillow. It arrives tomorrow and I am so excited!

Blueblink · 09/04/2015 17:16

Crying My GP refered me for my scan, looks like its taken 2 weeks to come through. At my booking in appt. with the midwife she said if i'd not had an appointment through by the time I was 10 weeks then to call them so they can chase and get me in ASAP to have the nuchal test.

Just on another note, is anyone else from the Oxford area and planning on giving birth at the John Radcliffe? If so they are doing a pregnancy growth study which i've just signed up for which includes 5 extra scans + a 3D one if you're lucky! A few of my friends have done it and said its great! Happy to pass on the information to anyone in the area!

I can't wait to start buying baby stuff but am too scared to look yet.

I have no idea where to start, it's our first baby so we need everything. Just worried I'll get carried away!

Evening all,, glad yourr taalking about 12wk scan appointments (or lack of!). Still waiting for mine, midwife said to call her if i haven't had a letter by 11weeks. Im getting so impatient now though, ripped open letters accidentally for DH today.

On another note i have eaten ridiculous amounts of food today. Normal MS this morn and then just ate and ate once it passed. I can't control it!

cryingbabymess · 09/04/2015 18:01

TakesTwo, my only concern with it being in a rear facing car seat until it's 15 months is the leg room....there won't be any?! Or am I missing something? Lol.

annatha · 09/04/2015 18:11

Ladystalk that pillow looks amazing! I've got a babies r us one that's sort of S shaped at zips up into a nest type thing for baby to sit in.

Not bought anything here as like others we've already got a house full of baby crap from dd so hopefully all we need is another car seat and boy clothes if we end up having a boy. Last time though we'd got loads by now, we got the bloody buggy at 7 weeks!

I flat out refuse to get a double buggy. I hate using it at the best of times so doubling the width of it will be even worse. I'm planning on either dd on my back and dc2 in the buggy or dc2 in a stretchy wrap and dd in the buggy. Theres enough space in the basket for my slings so I can swap the kiddos round during the day. Parents of 2 or more am I being ridiculous?

bowiesjumper re. hair dye- could you use henna to spruce it up (obviously not if you are platinum blonde!) Or even a bit of coloured dry shampoo at the roots? That's what I'm doing at the min when I want to look half presentable, and I'm planning on henna-ing in a month or so when the dry shampoo trick stops working.

So far I have bought 'bump to birthday' journal from amazon and a fujifilm instax polaroid camera to take bump pics each week to put in the journal! It's really cute I would recommend! Diary starts at week 9 so get it soon!!

Ugh, I hate the idea of a double buggy too. Can't think of any other options with twin newborns and a 3 year old.

Mmm. Solero. First thing that has tasted good in days.

TwoBeesInTheHive · 09/04/2015 19:26

on the bump front I'm pretty sure I can feel uterus emerging, like the top of a hard ball if I remember correctly from previous pregnancies. this is number 3 for me, can you feel it earlier the more you have or is that really early for it to be popping up??

TwoBeesInTheHive · 09/04/2015 19:28

forgot to add I'm 7+4!
I keep thinking twins too annbag ! if it was we would deal with it and be happy but 4 under 3 sounds insane!

Ooo solero. Yum.

annatha no I have red hair so henna would work! Is it allowed? Either way I'll wait another 2 weeks until I've gone 12 weeks to do anything. I can't work out if normal hair dye is safe from then on not. The only thing with henna is you can't be sure of the shade. Although it would be better than how it's starting to look!!

LadyStark that pillow looks massive! Nice work my friend. (By the way, I assume you're as excited as me about the new series of GOT next week! Squee!)

I've just been in 'The Little White Company' to buy my friend who has just had a baby a present. So many adorable things. Won't be buying anything for us for a good while yet though!!

NewMrsX · 09/04/2015 21:23

Sorry for your loss Lilliana Flowers

I'd started researching stuff before I even had a bfp so now just to convince DH Grin I'm sure I'll change my mind though. I thought I'd had names picked out too but now I'm actually pregnant and I get to really decide I'm finding I don't like them as much.

Feeling quite a bit better sickness wise. I stopped taking pregnacare about 4 days ago and just been taking a supplement of folic acid and vitamins c&d from the midwife. Not sure if this is a coincidence but I have read of pregnacare causing worse sickness before

TakesTwoToTango · 09/04/2015 21:43

crying mine have never found the leg room a problem, in fact my 3.6yr old is now forward facing as she is 85th centile and reached the weight limit and she begs everyday to be allowed in her brothers rear facing seat so she can rest her feet on the seat behind instead of them dangling!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 09/04/2015 21:51

I haven't bought anything for the baby, but have indulged myself with buying some maternity stuff from eBay and New Look. I reckon I won't need anything else now so that's my excuse!

The only thing that would touch my sickness today was McD's fries and a strawberry milkshake Blush

Dixiebell · 09/04/2015 22:31

I can highly recommend the buggy board option. DS1 was 2.2 when his brother was born, he took to the buggy board straight away and never really went in buggy again.

ninjabeer · 09/04/2015 22:38

Oh crumbs, just been looking at The Little White Company - Pirate Pj's oh yes indeed!

Crumbelina · 09/04/2015 22:49

I won't buy anything until the 20 week scan, but the first thing I get will be a lovely soft Jellycat monkey (and will probably keep it for myself). Smile

TakesTwoToTango · 09/04/2015 23:00

Crumbelina each of mine so far have had a jelly cat comforter from 20 weeks gestation which I have slept with until their arrival, at which point its gone in the hospital crib with them on the first night to reassure them with my smell. They both are still very attached to them and sleep with them every night Smile

Crumbelina · 09/04/2015 23:15

Ooh great idea, TakesTwo! Smile I might have to pop to John Lewis this weekend to have a feel of them. Obviously I won't buy anything but I can look ... Smile

TakesTwoToTango · 10/04/2015 01:26

After nearly three weeks of bleeding/spotting, I have a scan in the morning. I'm nervous...
