If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

I'm another person who told my boss straight away, but in confidence. I needed to make some adjustments to my teaching given how poorly I was feeling (I am a university lecturer). Will formally submit my leave application sometimes this weekend.

I am almost 10 weeks now and have put on about 1-1.5 kilos, not sure what that is in lbs! My tummy definitely feels harder and slightly more protruding than before, but the mornings not so much. Evening onwards, it sticks out :p

Afternoon ladies! What a day, I'm still full of the cold and I've stretched muscles in my back because of coughing and I'm exhausted and have zero appetite!! Only had a biscuit, half a sandwich and a bag of crisps today! Usually I've had about 10 x as much! Not a bad thing I suppose!!

Slept in my sports bra last night, it helped slightly but not as much as I expected! Got a bra fitting tomorrow so I wonder what size I am now!

I'm telling my boss either next week or the week after. My boss is the MD of the company! Only telling her before 12 weeks as we're away for work and was supposed to have a wine filled meal....told 2 of my colleagues as they're like my work mothers! They're excited for me!

I told my head teacher a few hours after I resigned. I am currently on maternity leave and was so sick and anxious last time I decided it would be best not to go back. I think it's fairer on me, DS and the school and my DP didn't want me to return to work. We are on a low income so it's not a case of being able to afford to it's just what we have decided.

nehegarg I used one last pregnancy and could hear from around 14 weeks. They should only be used "for fun" as a heart beat heard, especially by someone who isn't a health professional, isn't necessarily an indicator that all is well. I really enjoyed mine and it was an amazing bonding experience for me and my family.

Crumbelina · 08/04/2015 14:00

I'm going to tell work next week if my 12 week scan and test results are all ok. I'm also in the middle of having a pay rise and bonus wrangle so I'll try to get more money from the company and then tell them. Smile. They're a big employer and lots of people go on maternity so it won't be an issue. I've put in over 6 years here and sooo much overtime and so I have no qualms about waltzing off for the best part of a year.

Mamama31 · 08/04/2015 15:45

Hi ladies. I had my 2nd scan this morning and things seem to be heading in the right direction. If you remember last week at 5+3 we seen an empty sac, this week we seen a sac with yolk and foetal pole :) the yolk measured 5mm and I was told that everything is developing so far as wouldn't expect to see heartbeat until it's 7mm so just to early but pleased with the development from last week. I have another scan next week hopefully to see the heartbeat. It is reassuring that things are developing but I can not wait to see the heart beat! Still scantily spotting but it's good to see that hasn't impacted on the little beans development :)

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the lovely sunshine! :)

CuntCourtIsInSession · 08/04/2015 16:10

I've got a probation meeting in a few weeks so I intend to hold out until after that's all done (my 12 week scan won't be until after it in any case).

I've had a lovely morning, working from home in the sun, followed by an awful afternoon of diarrhoea and cramps. Sad It seems to have stopped now but ow, the pain - it was just awful.

Good news Mamama31, you must be very relieved that things are progressing anyway.

Crumbelina · 08/04/2015 16:15

Oh, that's great news Mamama31! You've had a real roller-coaster ride over the past couple of weeks and so it's good hear things are progressing well!

stace1986 · 08/04/2015 16:25

Great news mamama!

I have been MIA for the last few days due to terrible nausea. Doctors have now put me on some tablets and they have worked well but I still have terrible food aversion.

Had my booking in appt today and made it all feel more real :)

BowiesJumper · 08/04/2015 16:31

Oo nice one Mamama! I spotted from 4-7 weeks, with a scan at 6+4 where everything was as it should be! I've not had any spotting for going on 2 weeks, so fingers crossed all is well. Hopefully yours will be a similar story. They had no idea why I was spotting!

Now I'm impatiently waiting for the 12wk scan appointment to come through so that I can stop worrying about all the things they can find wrong at that!! (And move on to worrying about the 20wk scan no doubt...)

BlueBananas · 08/04/2015 16:38

Oh brilliant news Mamama so happy for you Grin
Had my booking in appointment today, all feels real now I have some actual writing in my green notes! I was still half expecting her to come back with my urine sample and tell me I wasn't really pregnant haha!
They've decided that this pregnancy is high risk due to complications in my last labour (I nearly died - sorry to all those nervous about labour for dropping that in ha) so the second half of my pregnancy is going to be consultant led instead of midwife led, and I may have to have an assisted labour! So bit disappointed about that but whatever minimises the risks is good I suppose
Now just impatiently waiting for my scan to come through!

liliana so sorry Flowers

mama it's on Friday - looks like it will be beautiful weather Smile

HeirToTheIronThrone · 08/04/2015 18:41

Lovely news Mamama!

I am exactly 8 weeks today. I had my appraisal at work today too, I had thought about saying something then but it seemed the wrong time, it was about the work I have done in the past year and how I have progressed so felt it didn't have any bearing on it. Also another colleague announced she is pregnant last week so I'll let them get used to that before they realise they need to pay for two lots of maternity leave at the same time! I will wait until I am 11 weeks I think, there is a big leaving do then and I'd rather come clean instead of making up spurious reasons for not drinking.
I took another pregnancy test this morning. It's still positive. I know that sounds mad but it's still a month til my scan!

nehagarg · 08/04/2015 18:47

Brilliant news mamamama ... Glad things are moving in the right direction for you. :)

Thanks a lot for the advice bugoven ... I have told myself very firmly that i am only 10 weeks and if i dont hear anything, it wint mean anything except that i should wait a little longer and try again! Fingers crossed though. That said - fetal monitor or not - the 12 week scan cant cone quickly enough so i can stop worrying (as if!) :)

BowiesJumper · 08/04/2015 19:01

Lilliana, so sorry. Take care. Flowers
