If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

TakesTwo that sounds divine! I need to restock my bedside table snacks, a couple of days ago I had a big meal about two hours before going to bed, yet woke up in the middle if the night with a growling empty stomach...

CuntCourtIsInSession · 06/04/2015 14:56

I'm also very insomniac, was up before five this morning but thankfully got a nap at about ten.

I'm finding not just time but this Easter specifically drag on horribly: I've got no friends or family in this country as I haven't been here for long, and I haven't seen my partner in a month, due to his work and previous commitments with his daughter (we live several hundred miles apart). It's just lonely, I'm not doing this 'alone' exactly but I certainly feel alone quite a lot of the time. I think I might go to Spar just so I can say hi to another human being for the first time in a few days. I'll be happy to get back to working tomorrow, to be honest.

Tinymrscollings · 06/04/2015 14:59

Hmmm. Thanks all. Maybe it has just run it's course then. That would be wonderful. It's still there from time to time, just really vague rather than full on. Still knackered though so I'm assuming something just be going on in there still.

Lovely not to have to stuff myself with cream crackers every five minutes.

Aw, thanks for the suggestions Annbag! Yes, the only people I know here are the people I work with, who are really nice (and one of the reasons I agreed to take the job and come to this country) but I'd be the only person in the whole department with a child and I fully expect to be ditched.

Hopefully once DP gets to move here (we're hopeful things will be sorted before the baby arrives, if there is to be a baby) it will get easier. We normally see each other every couple of weeks, which is workable, but it's not easy right now.

Top tip: MN favourite Pom Bears are excellent for nausea. Grin

roughtyping · 06/04/2015 15:42

Bowie I am the same, not through lack of symptoms but just, feel like it's not real. Go through convincing myself something's happened to convincing myself it's fine.

Told some friends last night who were delighted, one girl said she knew a few weeks ago, when we met up just before I got my BFP - she'd said to her husband at the time. DH phoned his friend who lives abroad who he's best man for - his fiancée is PG too which is really lovely news Smile

Feeling a bit rough today - combination of tiredness and nausea I think - but just remembered we've got strawberry splits in the freezer Grin

ehealy · 06/04/2015 15:55

I am 9 weeks and anxious to have my scan I have booked a private scan for next week. A lot of my friends have had a mc between 6 and 11 weeks. Once I know I can relax. Only symptoms are terrible bloating and wind and sore boobs. So excited but nervous wishing the time away until the scan! anybody else booked an early scan?

roughtyping · 06/04/2015 16:04

I had an early scan at EPU as I had a bit of spotting. How far along will you be? I was just past 7 weeks, all I saw was a grey blob BUT we saw the heartbeat flashing away.

xxx28xxx · 06/04/2015 16:25

Place marking!

7 weeks with no2 and I already have an 11 month old, what have u let myself in for Grin Confused

Anyone got a small age gap and care to reassure me!?! I'm terrified and already struggling with ms and exhaustion plus starting back at work next week. Aaaahhhhhhhh!

Oh and congrats everyone Smile

ehealy · 06/04/2015 16:33

I am just 9 weeks and so next week I will be 10 weeks for the scan. I should be able to see something which is why I thought 10 weeks was a good point. I am only seeing the doctor this week for first time so I am concerned that I won't be on the books in time for midwife and 12 week scan through NHS.

TakesTwoToTango · 06/04/2015 16:45

H! Four toasted muffins with butter and marmite later and I feel a bit more human!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 06/04/2015 17:23

Don't worry 28 lots of us on here with small age gaps. there's just under a year between my dd and ds and there will be a 2yr gap between ds and this baby, so 3 under 3! in my experience small gaos are great, my two are so close they couldn't be without each other. they play lovely together, it's great to watch.

I'm loving the Ovia app too! although we are only at 7 weeks and the size of a 'Wee Raspberry' Grin can't wait for the hand size one to start Grin Grin

roughtyping · 06/04/2015 17:28

My Ovia app says today 'you may start gaining weight more rapidly' err I think I've already started Shock oh dear!

ch1134 · 06/04/2015 17:31

Hi 28! There will be 22 months between mine. 7 weeks today and suffered with nausea yesterday evening and this evening. Horrible! I didn't have any last time so I'm just hoping I'll be ok at work...

xxx28xxx · 06/04/2015 17:36

Thanks twobees and ch, I appreciate the reassurance. I really do as baby not planned (although wanted as we def wanted two children) but just maybe a year sooner than we expected.

We've not told many people yet but those that do know keep listing all the negatives...anyway I'm sure it will all work out in the end and hey at least all the sleepless nights will be over soon. Yay!!

I'm getting ms in evenings too ch, it's so bizarre isn't it?

Haha roughty I know what u mean avout weight gain! It seems to go on everywhere and makes it harder to keep it a secret but hey at least we can eat cake guilt free Cake

ch1134 · 06/04/2015 17:43

We chose our age gap. It's going to be fun! For me, the best thing will be spending another year with ds1 while he's still little. ..

Don't listen to the people telling you all the negatives, they haven't got a clue what they are talking about. I learned that the hard way, I listened to all the negativity and it ruined my pregnancy with ds, I didn't enjoy it because I was so worried what they were saying was true. it wasn't far from it. having them close together is the best thing we've ever done. I used to get people pity my dd because she wasn't an only child for very long, but now I look at other kids her age without siblings, or with baby siblings they can't play with, and pity them! ds is the beat gift we ever could have given her.

cryingbabymess · 06/04/2015 18:12

Twobees my hands started growing today! So excited by it.

I've really gone off food today! I don't know if it's because I'm just ugh or if it's because I'm exhausted?! I'm literally going to bed in an hour!!Shock

Lauramum23 · 06/04/2015 18:25

Hello I've had a very busy weekend and worked Friday and today! Boring. I'm also worn out but wish I didn't eat so much I'm gonna be mahoosive!
I've not downloaded any apps because my son found the last ones and asked me why I had it on my phone so I told them I was pregnant far too early and then had a miscarriage at 7 weeks! About the same time as now actually- hope I get through these 5 weeks quickly! My pre-booking in is tomorrow!
So no apps for me till after 12 week scan! Smile

annatha · 06/04/2015 18:28

twobees your last post is very reassuring! Although this baby was planned, the few people we've told all seem a bit weird about a 12month age gap.

That's awful Annbag! I can't believe how to some people common courtesy goes out of the window when they see a pregnant woman. I got so fed up with people I barely know grabbing my belly or making comments about it. I too think I've got a thicker skin this time round and I'm more confident in my experience, but I know that if people start with the daily "any news??" Around my due date I know I'll end up hitting someone!

Oh dear. I feel ill and I really ought to do some work tonight... anyone else a teacher? How do you keep on top of work if you feel poorly in the evenings?
