If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

My nausea has turn into actual heaving over the loo now. Fun times. 6+1 today and have a lovely meal out planned tomorrow evening Confused

I'm another one craving cheese and ice lollies which never normally feature in my diet! Well it's not so much a craving but I just don't fancy complicated food!

roughtyping · 03/04/2015 08:52

Ohhhh, I'm going to get ice lollies today. Nearly cried earlier this morning thinking that I don't have any Blush have been loving ice cubes and v v cold water, yum. Had some ice yesterday morning, asked DS to put the rest back in the freezer... Realised at about 6pm he'd put them in the fridge!! Argh!

stickytoffeegirl · 03/04/2015 09:27

Yes to the beige food! And any kind of carbs with cheese. I think I'm finding my sudden aversion to food harder than not drinking.

Pennygirl I'm also getting my ms at night which means I'm no fun at the moment!

CishAndFips · 03/04/2015 09:37

well thats me sending dh to the corner shop for an ice lolly Grin

ninjabeer · 03/04/2015 09:39

Hello ladies. Went out to the pub last night and drank Becks Blue. Great as a decoy but but a bit of a waste of time as a drink!?! I'm going to try and find some non alcoholic kopperberg and begin my one woman mission for the perfect mocktails to get us through the summer. But today iso all about hot cross buns - gonna get my bake on!

Hope the ms eases up ladies and enjoy those lollies.

Mamama31 · 03/04/2015 09:50

Morning ladies! I slept until half 8 this morning (apart from up for the toilet at half 4) this is the latest I've slept since becoming pregnant :) feel like I've had a proper sleep :) I did a relaxation cd before bed, it must have worked! Also DH came in from night shift with a macdonalds breakfast for me, this went down very well :) MS needs to hit soon before I turn in to a whale!!!!

Mamama31 · 03/04/2015 09:56

Roughtyping I was looking at my scan pic yesterday from my last pregnancy, the scan was done at my initial GP appointment and I was 15wks pregnant!!! By the time I had the courage to tell my mum I was 3 months pregnant and well the GP giving me a scan straight away sure made it real lol but I avoided all the first trimester anxiety and also the pics after having DS I was the size I am now! it's such a different experience, and I just want to enjoy it this time without ruining it with worry.....impossible?!!!

Mamama31 · 03/04/2015 09:58

Thatduck you were right....boobies are sore again today! phew!!! (yes I want sore ones...crazy!)

Morning all hope ms isn't too bad today! I woken up in agony with my back! Confused I think I've pulled a muscle or trapped a nerve at the top of my back / neck! It's too sore!!! Sad I can't move! Today will be a crappy day for me!

Sorry to moan.

flyingsprocket · 03/04/2015 10:31

ninjabeer I don't like becks blue, I find Erdinger NA or Paulaner NA much more realistic but with my horrid indigestion I can't drink either Sad

I have a tradition on Good Friday of going to the pub here & drinking because I'm irish & the pubs at home are all closed today so it feels like a mini rebellion! Not much point today really!

Who was it that mentioned noodles on toast? It's all I can think about!!

Mamama31 · 03/04/2015 10:36

Flying I had noodles on toast yesterday it was amazing!! Someone else on here put it in my mind!

mrsscarlettbutler · 03/04/2015 10:39

I seem to have hit a new food low - just had a bowl of ice-cream for breakfast Blush

My food shopping looks remarkably similar to yours Focus. Last time I bought a massive box of Sainsbs cheapo ice lollies for about £2. Have been working my way through that quite quickly!

So we had a private scan yesterday at 9 + 1. Pleased to say that all was looking great, and we even heard the heartbeat and saw little tiny stumpy feet wiggling around. The best bit is that when I got home they'd sent me an email with a link to lots of pictures and a couple of videos of the scan, which I didn't realise they would do. As all I was concerned about during the scan was whether the bean is ok, I didn't really take it all in so it was so lovely to come home and look at it properly. Also the sonographer was talking while she turned the sound up on the heartbeat so we didn't get to hear it properly while we were there.

Again, she could see no reason for the bleeding which is quite frustrating, but I am feeling a little more reassured. 12 week scan date is 23rd April so just 3 weeks to get through!

We are off to France on Monday - supposedly skiing but yesterday she was quite firm on how I absolutely MUSN'T ski. So DH is now putting his foot down on that. I wasn't planning on doing anything strenuous but I had thought I might do a few hours of pootling around on some blue runs - have skied my whole life so not too concerned about falling etc but I suppose they are right - i would never forgive myself if someone crashed into me and something terrible happened. It will be very strange to be there and not ski though. I realise this is a complete first world problem!! Instead I will spend the week eating cheese and potato based foods with my mum.

argh Annbag I know exactly how you feel. there's a couple we know that got married a week after we did, announced they were pregnant with their first 3 months after we did, announced they were pregnant with their second just after our 2nd was born, it was soo frustrating. and I found when people talked to me they always brought up her and it really annoyed me! anyway her husband had a vasectomy just before we announced we were pregnant again. and their congratulations was noticably missing! oh well lol.

I want some of that food aversion! I can't stop eating...everything. I'm so bloated :( still no sickness though :)
Has anyone else got there belly button pierced, I don't know what to do with mine

BlueBananas · 03/04/2015 11:36

mrsscarlett congrats on the good news at the scan Easter Smile can't believe they sent you videos too I've never heard of that, that's amazing!

thatduck I've got my belly button pierced, I don't really wear my piercing anymore but did in y first pregnancy and I took it out around 5 months I think, the bit between the top part of the piercing and the actual belly button can tear once you get bigger if you keep it in. Mines horrible and saggy now Easter Blush

So my symptoms are completely disappearing! I was happy that MS was easing off but now it's totally gone, boobs aren't sore and I even feel like I'm showing less! I'm getting a bit worried!

Crumbelina · 03/04/2015 11:43

Blue, how many weeks are you? My symptoms disappeared around 7-8 weeks. Came back for weeks 9+ though and still going strong. I wouldnâ??t worry too much!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 03/04/2015 12:24

ooh I really hope that happens for me Crumbelina I'm 6+5 and have been suffering bad all this week. I could really do with a week or so break (or for it to go completely) mine seems to be hitting worst around lunchtime, which is such a pain as its right in the middle of the day! Envy

SnozzberryPie · 03/04/2015 12:45

Thatduck I used to have my bellybutton pierced and in my last pregnancy got a special maternity bar which is longer and bendy so you can keep it in.

Unfortunately they made me take it out when I was rushed into theatre during labour, and dp lost it, and by the time I thought to get a new one my piercing had healed over Sad

Crumbelina · 03/04/2015 12:49

Oh, TwoBees, it's horrible isn't it. Sad My worse time was probably around 6-7 weeks. It's not as debilitating now, but there's still plenty of time ...

SnozzberryPie · 03/04/2015 12:57

this is the kind I had although you can also get baby themed ones like this or this if such things are to your taste Grin

annatha · 03/04/2015 13:12

Hello ladies, hope ms isn't too bad for everyone today. My new trick is forcing myself to eat something the second I start to feel sick, even if it's just a few crackers.

I was wondering if any of you had spilled the beans to family etc yet? I'm 9+3 today. Last time everyone at my work, my dh's work and close family members knew by 6-7 weeks and the big "facebook reveal" was when I had my scan. I wanted to wait until 12 weeks until we told anyone but I had to inform my manager because there's a lot of lifting involved in my job, and therefore had to tell shift managers... and then every bugger else because they wanted to know why I was getting the easy jobs all the time. DH was desperate to tell people straight away and didn't get why I wanted to wait, so we agreed on close family only on the understanding that if something awful did happen, they wouldn't be fussing over me asking how the baby is doing etc.

This time though... I dunno. I'm still on maternity leave so I don't intend to tell work until I would be arranging to go back anyway but dh told a couple of people at work in confidence, so naturally the whole place knows about it. We also told a couple of our friends who are expecting their first baby. We didn't really plan to but we went to visit them and we couldn't keep it in after they were talking about these early days (she's 10 weeks I think).

We asked them not to say anything, but now I'm paranoid that it's going to travel to our family members before we have the chance to tell them ourselves.
