If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

Would it be totally tacky to announce my pregnancy with the baby on board belly bar?! I fear so but I'm brain is all over the place and at the moment it seems a good idea!

I haven't told family yet annatha but have told a couple of close friends for support. DH has had to tell his boss and HR because he had to take so time off to look aft the dcs when I went to hospital with bleeding but apart from that we'll be keeping it quiet until 12weeks scan I think maybe even later. I live abroad and am not visiting home until nearly 17 weeks so I may wait to announce it then!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 03/04/2015 13:39

we had to tell everyone annatha everyone already knew. I'm a bit shocked at how fast the news travelled actually. its nice to have it out in the open now though. as for work, I had two back to back maternity leaves (I was due to go back from my first ML on my due date!) and then I just didn't go back after the second ML and am a stay at home parent now. but I could have gone back if I'd wanted to. there's nothing they can do really. they have to keep a job position open for you.

annatha · 03/04/2015 13:57

Annbag that's what I'm doing too- I'm due back on 30th July (well, I'm entitled to three more months but they're unpaid) so then I take my 5 weeks hol and then start mat leave #2 mid September. I've got workmates on Fb so I'd prefer to inform work properly rather than it just getting gossiped about after my scan, but working out when the 8 weeks before I'm due back is and which weeks I'd be using to qualify for SMP is all just giving me a massive headache right now. I know I won't have to go back between leaves as I can always take some of the unpaid time, but then that might mess up my chance of getting SMP... Confused I'm going to get dh to look into it.

Not looking forward to telling my manager as she's been trying for a baby for over 2 years now. It was awkward last time so this time will probably be more so.

I've go belly button pierced. I don't notice it any more though been there since I was 16 and not that into it anymore so will take it out soon. But the bendy bars are good for those wanting to keep the piercing, didn't know they did them.

Well booking in appointment all done, can remember much of what was said as concentrated on not throwing up all through it. Those ice lollies are sounding good though.
Off for my nap..!

Jucymyname · 03/04/2015 15:00

Hello. Can I join in?
I'm 8+2, had na booking appointment yesterday. Now I'm lying in bed with the worst cold ever. I'm a little worried because my concrete breasts are not so hard and painful anymore. Last time I had mmc at 8 weeks and my symptoms subsided at about 10. On a positive side I still feel nauseous almost all the time. Reading your experiences gives me hope and makes me fell normal - especially eating cheese and bread!
I hope everything goes well for all of us!

BlueBananas · 03/04/2015 15:20

Crumbelina I'm 8+3 so a bit of an odd time for disappearing symptoms really
I only got my morning sickness last week but I got it off the back of a horrible vomiting bug that all 4 of us had for 2/3 days, then everyone got better but mine went on & on so I'd presumed I'd overlapped with MS, now I'm thinking maybe mine just took longer for me to recover from because my immune system is down ATM! Why do you guys think? Is that a possibility?
This would mean that MS hadn't even tatted yet though and I've got it all to come yet Easter Hmm woohoo!

BlueBananas · 03/04/2015 15:21

Started* stupid iPhone
Welcome Jucy congratulations!

Jucymyname · 03/04/2015 15:30

Bananas, I didn't have ms in my first pregnancy, maybe you'll be the lucky one Easter Smile

Mamama31 · 03/04/2015 15:53

Welcome Jucy! Congrats to you :)

Ladies I am 5+5 today and I'm having sharp little twinges in my lower left abdomen, they are not cramps and are not excruciating or anything just there on and off most of the day. I had the same last week but not quite as frequent and sharp. I do know from the scan that is where the little sac is developing but just wondering what would cause sharp pains? Anyone else have/had this??

Crumbelina · 03/04/2015 16:30

Jucy's right (hello Jucy!), you could be one of the lucky ones, Blue ... I'd be so envious if you are!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 03/04/2015 17:25

mamama I've been noticing sharp pains in my lower left abdomen too and tmi but I was thinking it might be constipation!? as I've been struggling to go. not sure though, but your definitely not the only ine with pain on the left! Smile

BlueBananas · 03/04/2015 17:50

Oh God I hope so! After horrendous 9 month long sickness in my first 2 pregnancies I reckon I've earned a sickness free one haha
I can't promise I won't be smug about it if it happens though Easter Shock
The sharp pains are constipation for me too, I poo about once a week at the moment Easter Sad

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 03/04/2015 18:08

Hi everyone, wondering if I can tentatively join you? I didn't dare before because I had a mmc at 11 weeks just before Christmas and have been insanely anxious. I had an early scan this week and it showed everything looking healthy. In fact I got the shock of my life to discover that there are two babies in there! Mostly terrified right now. Very nervous that things could still go wrong, not to mention wondering how on earth I will cope with twins, a toddler and a job. Phew, it's a bit overwhelming.
Already got 1 dd, age 2.5. My babies will probably be born in October because twins often don't make it past 37 weeks, but due date is 14th November and developmentally they will be November babies.
Going to have a read back and find out about you all. I'm still really close with my group from pregnancy with dd so it'll be nice to meet a group embarking on this journey too Smile

Mamama31 · 03/04/2015 18:39

Welcome Guybrush! And congrats! Wow twins, that's just lovely! I'm sure you will manage perfectly :)

Twobees and Blue I'm not sure mine is down to constipation, it's more like being poked by a small pin from the inside of my very lower abdomen (to the left). Strange sensation, but earlier today it was so regular and slightly painful at times. But has gone tonight. Who knows what's going on in there!

sophiaslullaby · 03/04/2015 18:49

Welcome Guybrush, aww how lovely -twins! I read that and gave a smile. Happy pregnancy to you Smile

TMI alert but I'm struggling to go to the loo too. So frustrating as stomach looks HUGE (bloat) and sure it's making nausea worse. Any tips?!

Mamama31 · 03/04/2015 19:04

Sophia I'm pretty sure prune juice has never failed but it is absolutely vile to drink! I remember drinking it holding my nose and doing a very strange little dance (because that was gona help?!) it actually gave me the shakes....but never failed to work.

sophiaslullaby · 03/04/2015 19:07

Prune juice and a little dance, haha!-if it works then I'm game for it.

Mamama31 · 03/04/2015 19:12

The dance is optional ;)

AmandaMae · 03/04/2015 19:17

Ladies, send your DPs / DHs to boots for some fybogel. Perfectly safe for pregnant women, and it sorted me out in no time.

Just finishing off my dinner of super noodles Blush which I decided on as the rosemary and garlic roast potatoes I tried to put in the oven made me vomit. I wouldn't even contemplate the lamb. That would give me serious trampoline tummy.

But I did go for a scan yesterday - 10+5 and all looking tickety-boo. Little heart thumping away at 176bpm, liver and kidney function looking good, little arms and legs all in place - and leaping about like crazy! Huzzah! Also had blood taken for the harmony test (slightly paranoid about being 43), so now waiting two weeks for the results...another 2ww! But if all comes back clear, then we'll be ready to tell people. Will help explain my antisocial tendencies over the last 5 weeks.

Sincere sympathies to all ms sufferers. I just want to sleep until it goes away. Being a right lazy cow. DH trying very hard to be understanding but I'm sure it is testing his patience.

Mamama31 · 03/04/2015 19:22

Amanda that is great news! Sounds like an amazing scan, hope the next 2 wks go fast for you and I'm sure all will be well :)

roughtyping · 03/04/2015 20:02

amanda that's lovely news Smile

mama it is SO different isn't it. Only scan pic I can find is one from 2 days before he was born!!

I've also been having 'pin' like feelings in my abdomen. Feels very strange. Trying not to stress about it. Sort of wishing I hadn't turned down the extra scan last week after a little bleeding... It's ok that I didnt, isn't it? Things aren't wrong are they? Bah. Haven't had spotting/blood since last Wednesday - was scanned after the spotting which was at 7 weeks, blood was at 8 weeks after DTD. It's all ok, isn't it?

Have my first 'proper' scan 2 weeks yesterday, I'll be 11+1 (I think) - is that far enough along to see stuff properly? 7 week scan was a blob!

Have my little sister's wedding next week, it's come around so quickly! Had a horror of a five minutes getting some Spanx on earlier Blush so I could try on my bridesmaid dress - it just fits and no more!!! I'm feeling a bit better nausea wise so hopefully won't be constantly stuffing my face.

Actually I've lost most symptoms apart from tiredness. Not as much nausea, boobs very slightly tender but no where near as much as before. Stil have a funny taste in my mouth. Still waiting for it all to be 'not real'. I'm such a pessimist.

CoffeeTwo · 03/04/2015 20:43

Welcome new ladies!

We've told a fair few people already. Bosses at work, family, close friends. I'm anxious though at the thought of telling them all if something goes wrong. I'm having one of those wibbly days where I wish I could know if baby is ok. Got a private scan in 10 days when I'll be 7+4, I'll just have to hold tight.
