Coffee I'm only a week and a bit ahead of you. Still not many symptoms apart from fatigue and the odd twinge so might have to test again to make sure I didn't dream it! Although didn't really have many symptoms with ds and no ms at all.

I've got my first mw appointment on Monday, it's not a booking in appointment yet but more of a general health chat. My mum popped round today and informed me that she has booked me in for an early scan at her work on the first of April. Really hope there's a baby there, and it's not all a big April's fool joke! :D

Karmanna13 · 19/03/2015 19:41

Welcome Bumping!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 19/03/2015 19:58

Hi all, am making the giant leap from the March bus to here - yikes!

So stats: I'm 32, this is baby #1, EDD 18/11 - today I am 5+1.

I can't even book in with the midwife until I'm 6 weeks so just twiddling my thumbs! Oh and I'm a bridesmaid too, in July - I haven't told her yet, I am meant to see her in a couple of weeks so may do then if dresses come up - she hasn't picked them yet...

bugoven · 19/03/2015 20:27

Hello everyone. Just caught up on the thread.
I have been in bed since 7.30.tonight as I'm expecting an early start with DS. I swear he knows what's going on. I had to stop him choking on a biscotti today and he bumped his head and has been so troubled by his teeth. He's certainly doing a good job of distracting me. I was a nervous, vomiting, googling wreck at this point in my pregnancy with him.

Hope those of you with bleeding related worries have some reassurance soon and for those of you with worries in general (crying) don't be too hard on yourself. Pregnancy is a massive, exciting, terrifying time, especially in the early days.

cryingbabymess · 19/03/2015 20:28

I'm confused....what's a booking in appointment with the MW?

CoffeeTwo · 19/03/2015 20:34

Karma I'm still peeing on sticks daily, I've switched to internet cheapies now though Grin

HeirToTheIronThrone · 19/03/2015 21:13

I have bought some packs of cheapo tests from Home Bargains so I can keep checking this really is happening Blush

BowiesJumper · 19/03/2015 21:41

Heir!! Another busser! Congratulations!

crying the booking in appointment is your first midwife appointment. They "book" you into the system etc. I was referred by my gp but you can self refer in some places.

Mine is at 8wks.

Dixiebell · 19/03/2015 22:22

Crumbelina, it was me who recommended Becks Blue, it's alright, isn't it? Cobra non-alc is rank. Really wheaty iirc.

I've self-referred to MW. They do it 9-10 weeks here but I told receptionist I was a week further ahead so I'd have it a week earlier Blush. Well, they only book you in for first scan after that, and I know it'll end up being like week 13 or 14 by the time they can fit me in. I can't wait that long! I also called the MW office directly as doing it in my GP surgery was only a Friday option...I would either have to take my two boys with me, which would be a painful hour, and end up with questions from the 4-yr-old about why we were there - and I'm not telling him yet, he'd blab! Or tell my mum so she could babysit, but i really want to keep it secret until afte scan this time.

Lauramum23 · 19/03/2015 22:27

Hello everyone Smile just introducing myself I'm almost 32 (next week) and I have 3 children age 11,8,6 got broody and we decided to have 1 more I did get pregnant straight away and would have been 12 weeks by now and passed all the worry but I had a miscarriage at 7 and a bit weeks I haven't had a period and I'm pregnant again! Eeeekkk little worried as ya would be and I'm keeping it quiet for as long as I can but I thought ill pop on here for some support.
I reakon I'm due around 24th November ish as I know roughly when I ovulated as I had a scan to see if the miscarriage was complete and she said it looked as tho I was ovulating soon.
Little nervous about ringing midwifes yet as last time I went for the pre booking in at 7 weeks + 2 and that evening I started bleeding so I think I'm going to leave it a couple of weeks see how I get on??
Anyway sorry for long posts and I hope to get to know you all and fingers crossed to healthy pregnancies Smile

HeirToTheIronThrone · 19/03/2015 22:37

Hello Bowies!

Mine is self-referral, you can fill in the forms after 6 weeks but then you don't get the appointment until 10/11. I don't think I can stand the waiting! Because it's self referral I only have home tests to prove anything is even going on until then, it's driving me mad!

ninjabeer · 19/03/2015 22:48

Hello heir great to so many bus buddies on this thread!

newbian · 20/03/2015 04:35

I posted in the previous thread but seems my stats got lost.

newbian, 31, baby #1 EDD 4/11

Based on my LMP my EDD was supposedly 28/10, but I was fairly certain I had ovulated late (and didn't get BFP until a week after my period was due). Which I why I got on the November bus.

I had my first scan and the doctor agrees that I'm more like 7+2 than 8+2. We saw the little heartbeat flicker - amazing!

cryingbabymess · 20/03/2015 06:26

Thanks Bowies. I phoned the surgery and they booked me in for when I'm exactly 7 weeks so hopefully they do something then as I plan on telling my dad that same day. I kinda want my scan at 11 weeks as I've got loads coming up but it sounds doubtable!

TheTravellingLemon · 20/03/2015 06:57

Off to the GP today. Hoping it might start feeling a bit more real if I start the process! For those of you asking about whether to expect a pregnancy test when you go, no they don't do one. Home kits are just as reliable as what they would do so they do take you're word for it.

Bumpingalong84 · 20/03/2015 08:30

I know everyone's different, but my only symptoms are fuller boobs, not sore tho, and feeling tired. I am only 4+6. When did more symptoms kick in for those of you a few weeks ahead??

cryingbabymess · 20/03/2015 08:48

Hi bumping I'm 5+5 Id say I had sore boobs from just around the time I missed my period. I kept putting it down to symptoms that AF was coming. Now I'm noticing my goons have grown! I've been tired for the last 2-3 weeks then a bit nauseous but not too bad!

cryingbabymess · 20/03/2015 08:49

Oh and as my name tells you I've been very emotional! Although, that was really only for the 2/3 days after I POAS, think it was because I've had to stop smoking! Feeling alright now tho!

Bumpingalong84 · 20/03/2015 09:08

cryingbabymess I've been emotional too. DH tells me I'm being far more sappy and loving haha. I'm feeling queasy but not too bad, anxious about what the next few weeks will bring as I hear after week 6more symptoms kick in!! Giving up the wine is what's making me emotional! It's all worth it Smile

cryingbabymess · 20/03/2015 09:12

My OH hasn't said that about me but it's because I'm more grumpy but again that's the whole smoking thing! I'm looking forward to seeing the MW and asking questions etc and telling my dad! He will be over the moon!

General question to everyone, I assume you just get sent a letter with the next available scan date and time from the hospital? What's the latest they will scan you?

halestone · 20/03/2015 10:18

Well my internal thermostat has gone the opposite way finally, now i'm warm the majority of the time. I'm made up i couldn't handle my bones feeling cold.

OP posts:
BowiesJumper · 20/03/2015 10:20

I'm still freezing! But I think you're about a week ahead of me, maybe I'll be warm sooooon!!

My sleep patterns have gone haywire. I go to bed dead early and then wake up in the early hours, but then I'm tired all day. It's a pain in the hoop.

That eclipse was a bit of a damp squib wasn't it!

cryingbabymess · 20/03/2015 10:37

The eclipse blinded me!!! I should know better! How am I supposed to tell my child not to look at the sun when I do? ?? my body temp has sorted it's self out slightly it's sleeping, I'm asleep by 9!!

Mulligrubs · 20/03/2015 10:40

Eeekkk got my 12 week scan date through for mid April! I'll be just over 11 weeks then. It feels like it is getting real now. I am nervous
