TwobeesThanks i'm sorry you had a rubbish reaction.

roughtyping · 22/03/2015 14:11

Also had a 7 week scan with NHS and there's not much to see! But you might get to see the heartbeat flickering away Smile

We've told parents, siblings, my aunt, and I've told a few people at work and one friend (she was going to buy bridesmaid dresses so felt it was easier to say!).

roughtyping · 22/03/2015 14:11

twobees, do you think they'll feel differently once the baby's here?

TwoBeesInTheHive · 22/03/2015 14:33

thanks everyone. I honestly don't know tbh, hopefully they will come round after baby is born and see they were being over dramatic

ashboo76 · 22/03/2015 15:00

Hi two bees really sorry for that reaction why are they unsupportive? We've not told anyone yet am 5 weeks but waiting till at least 10 ... May tell two of my employees as I will need some support at work re bending and lifting... But will tell my brother first that will be hard as him and his wife can't have babies they are looking to adopt though. Also not looking forward to telling my stepmother (probably coz she's horrid anyway lol)

cryingbabymess · 22/03/2015 15:03

I'll be telling my dad and brother in a week, I'll be 7 weeks then. Up till last night I thought on me and my OH knew but he told 1 of his work mates! Shock I really want my dad to know first as he's not had the best of time lately and this will cheer him up as when we told him 2 months ago we had decided to TTC he was hyper! Lol.

TwoBeesInTheHive · 22/03/2015 15:12

because its number 3 ashboo not that they were particularly thrilled with 1 or 2.

ashboo76 · 22/03/2015 15:34

That's not a good reason I'm really sorry hope there are plenty of happy reactions to come especially from your first two babies and my attitude will be if your not happy with it stay away from me ...harsh but necessary I think Smile

Fitnotfatthistime · 22/03/2015 16:45

Hi everyone! Smile can I join too? I did 2 positive tests yesterday and 1 today. Due 22nd Nov. My 3rd! A happy surprise. We weren't trying but figured let nature take its course! Hasn't really sunk in and we aren't telling anyone yet but I need people to talk to!

annatha · 22/03/2015 17:13

I'm so excited to wear maternity jeans again even though I only swapped back to normal ones two months ago as they feel like PJs! Next overbump are brilliant for later on, but bump bands and a bobble through the button hole on normal jeans works too. I lived in mat leggings and skater dresses last time until about 30 weeks as I just looked fatter than usual, I'm hoping my bump appears a bit quicker this time.

ashboo76 · 22/03/2015 17:15

Congratulations fitnotfatthistime I'm due 20th I think but first baby so all new to me this is why I'm on here I'm 39 next month all my friends have school age and feel a bit alone at the mo ...

Fitnotfatthistime · 22/03/2015 17:29

Thanks @ashboo76. Feel like I should explain my user name! My first 2 pregnancies I gained masses of weight and didn't exercise at all. After my last I was huge a year later so I embarked on a fitness journey, lost 5stone and am now a full time fitness instructor! So this will be my first active pregnancy and I fully intend to stay active this time :)
I have a 9yr old DD and nearly 6 yr old DD. So lots of gaps!

I teach really high intensity studf as well as gentler classes but I'm worried about how I'll cope as time goes on.

If any of you need any fitness/exercise advice just let me know :)

Congrats to all of you. Had a quick read through previous posts. Sorry to those that have had problems.

Long way to go yet but happy to be doing this all again :)

ashboo76 · 22/03/2015 17:44

Hi fitnotfatthistime I assumed something like that but 5 stone that's amazing and a fitness instructor I'm jealous would love to do that. I'm a runner mostly half marathons but have done London. I fully intend to keep, running but haven't run since I found out PG too crampy my DH is ex navy so he's great at fitness advice but he's not a pregnant woman so I may take you up on that thank you Grin

TwoBeesInTheHive · 22/03/2015 18:24

fitnotfat I'm a fitness instructor too! I'm a stay at home mum now, but worked fulltime in a health club my entire first pregnancy. in your higher intensity classes you will just have to demo the high intensity and take the low intensity option. maybe rope in one of your regulars to demo the high intensity. I worked up until 38 weeks and could pretty much still do everything it just took me a bit longer by the end haha!

stace1986 · 22/03/2015 18:38

Ugh my nausea has started today! Feeling terrible! We told OH's family today so that was exciting, although there was a moment when I thought I was going to be sick on sil's baby! Anyone got any good home remedies for hayfever? My eyes are itchy already.

Crumbelina · 22/03/2015 18:58

It's horrible isn't it Stace! Mine has come back a bit today as well.

Just spent over 200 quid on maternity wear - bugger! Bought 3 pairs of maternity jeans, one pair of black trousers and 2 vest tops in Topshop and 4 bras in M&S. Didn't venture anywhere else after spending so much. Topshop do some nice things, but it's such a small department for their flagship store! Sad

Love, love, love the jeans though. I'm going to live in them (can dress up the black ones at work with nice tops and heels). They're soo comfy! I think the assistant might have heard audible sighs coming from my changing room. Smile

I'm really going to try and get by without spending much more though.

Bumpingalong84 · 22/03/2015 18:59

Hey ladies, I've managed to complete a 14mile charity walk today in 5hours with no nausea today. Really happy about that but nervous as always with lack of symptoms, I guess at 5+1 Other than slightly bigger boobs thats not abnormal!! Was panicked on the walk and did a knicker check every loo stop haha Smile

BowiesJumper · 22/03/2015 19:30

Are the top shop jeans over or under bump?
I don't think I'll be needing them for a while yet (normal ones still fine!) and I have plenty of stretchy clothes but will want a pair of jeans at some point I'd say!

Well done bumping!

walkd2312 · 22/03/2015 19:34

Is anyone else suffering with morning sickness, I seem to get it afternoon/evening and need advice on what might work to ease it especially at work. x

ch1134 · 22/03/2015 20:11

Just wanting to say how very very very excited I am!
This is no.2 and my no.1 has been such a superstar! I was very lucky in my last pregnancy and in his infancy (he's only 14 months now), and didn't really find any of it too much of a struggle, and just loved his baby days, and I'm just so happy to be doing it all again, and to be creating a family! I could burst!
Not telling anyone as last time we waited until our 12 week scan and loved doing it that way...
No tips on morning sickness, sorry. I didn't get it last time and think it's too early to know this time... not due til 23rd Nov. Wish I could help.
Any tips on containing excitement? !
And yes, sorry, ch1134 is a stupid name... just call me ch!

Quick question as I'm relative new....what thread would you suggest me posting a question asking about my nipple piercing? I've only ever been in the becoming a parent then pregnancy, I found this thread on the off chance!

Oh if you guys want to know my question it is I've got my nipple pierced (obvs!) but I've noticed that with my books growing my nipples are too and it kinda looks like they're swelling that much around the ends of the bar. It's not sore yet, just maybe looks it slightly?

Sorry! Blush

Crumbelina · 22/03/2015 21:07

Bowie, mine are all under bump and I think TS stick to that style. Wonder if I've been a bit hasty buying so many but I get on well with non-pregnancy TS jeans.

I've read that H&M over bump jeans are pretty good but I've opted for under as they could get quite hot in summer.

Fitnotfatthistime · 22/03/2015 21:20

Hi, that's great you can run that well! I've only ever run 12k mainly as I don't have time to put it any longer runs. I coach people all the time who are pregnant but will be interesting to see how I take my own advice when it's me! X
