DS will be nearly 4 when this one arrives, all being well, and I've completely forgotten how to do the baby bit Confused we'll all have to help each other Grin

Bronzemoth · 21/03/2015 19:37

laura it's nice to have a hand to hold at the back. I know the ladies on my last bus found it hard waiting. Have you found yours have come earlier each time though?

annbag what's your age gap. (Sorry I'm sure you've already mentioned it)

Bronzemoth · 21/03/2015 19:39

Oops you just mentioned it so just over a year.

It'll be tough at first but I think S close age gap will make things easier as they get older. I'll have a 25 month age gap I think a sling will be my saviour.

bronze I couldn't live without my slings! I've really got into wearing my DD and I'm already reading up on pregnant carrying and tandem carrying. Double buggies scare me- I find the normal buggy quite cumbersome if I'm on my own (getting it through doors, up steps etc) so strapping at least one of them on me seems like the best option!

Lauramum23 · 21/03/2015 21:42

Bronze moth do you mean when my babies arrived Confused sorry if I'm being a dozy mare lol! If that was the question then my first ( I was very impatient for him to come if I remember rightly!) he was 4 days late ( but a long labour contributed to that!) second she was 12 days over, and my 3rd was almost born on his due date he was born at 2.30am so only by 2.5 hours!! So I'll let him off.
I was fully prepared to go over with him too so it took me by surprise.
So all 3 quite differentSmile

Bronzemoth · 21/03/2015 21:55

laura yes when they arrived vs due date. I was wondering if a younger sibling is more likely to arrive earlier. I'm worried about being induced due to my age. Ds1 arrived bang on time so hoping for a few days early this time.

Lauramum23 · 21/03/2015 22:35

I thought you were same age as me??? 32? I've been induced each time straight on the drip ( because of waters breaking and strep b) so I'm pretty sure it will be the same again. You will be fine, my sil has had a baby recently she was induced and she's 44.

ShortLashes · 22/03/2015 01:38

Hope those on nights out managed to get away with their excuses for not drinking! I really had given up alcohol for Lent when I got my BFP, which has been helpful! Although sticking to my guns at a wedding in a few weeks will be tricky.

One day this week I was so tired at work I had to take myself into a meeting room and have a nap for 20 mins! Since then though, my symptoms have eased and I've no longer felt nauseous, which has made me a bit worried (I'm 7+5). I'm still occasionally getting tingly sensations in my legs- like sharp pins and needles- has anyone else had this?

Stickytoffee and Bugoven, useful reminder about iron! I heard Dr Christian Jessen from Embarrassing Bodies on the radio this morning and apparently it's a myth that spinach is an iron superfood! He said the guy who made the claim put the decimal in the wrong place when he presented his findings! Other leafy greens, e.g. kale, apparently have more iron and Popeye is based on a LIE!

bugoven · 22/03/2015 02:59

short I had restless legs for the second half of my last pregnancy. It drive me mad! There is some truth in eating bananas to ease it I think (potassium). The pains may be cramp. That's really common too but I was lucky enough not to suffer last time.

Gutted about popeye =/ and spinach!

ninjabeer · 22/03/2015 07:14

You've been chatty ladies. I survived the party but have overdosed on ginger beer. cheap night though. The can't drink i'm on steroids line seemed to work though. DH got bladdered and was hilarious, normally I'm as tipsy as him so it was an eye opener. I think I'm the only person in town without a hang over today and am feeling pretty smug about it. Made it through to 1am but still couldn't sleep past 5am. I suppose it is good training.

How did the rest of you get on with blagging the booze free weekend?

HeirToTheIronThrone · 22/03/2015 07:59

I have discovered that you can get alcohol free Koppaberg fruit cider so watching the rugby was ok :)

GreenInk127 · 22/03/2015 08:23

Hello ladies, recently found out I'm pregnant with baby #3. Due 19th November!
Congrats to everyone with their BFPs!

Dixiebell · 22/03/2015 08:33

Urgh. Been feeling really sick since 4am. Don't know if it's MS, I never had it with my first two, and we had dinner at pub last night so maybe that?? Had to get DH up on his lie-in day (we take turns at weekend) to give the boys breakfast as I couldn't face it. Currently nibbling Rich Teas in bed in hope that cures it...

CoffeeTwo · 22/03/2015 08:34

Ooh Heir I'm happy to hear that! Love koppaberg in the sunshine.

Welcome Green :)

roughtyping · 22/03/2015 08:38

underesther thinking of you.

reeree not sure if you'll see this but I'm sorry Flowers

I have also been having a dodgy tummy, no sickness but lots of nausea, lots of tummy cramps too resulting in a rush to the loo!

I've put on weight Blush I can't stop eating, if I feel sick I need to keep eating - I get travel sick and it feels so similar to that. I have my sister's wedding in less than 3 weeks, I'm a bridesmaid, need to sort myself out this week! All I want to eat is bread!!! Bought Spanx yesterday, they really are miracle workers!

All I want to drink now is soda water and lime but can't figure out if that's terrible or not. Surely better than diet coke? Desperate to get to tesco this morning to buy some! Looking forward to it so much!

roughtyping · 22/03/2015 08:41

Also I'm still having extremely vivid dreams. The past two nights haven't been good though Sad two nights ago was someone I love being attacked, last night was I was being horrible to everyone but didn't realise it and everyone hated me - particularly my oldest friend, who I haven't told yet that I'm pregnant. Not nice!

DS will be 11, nearly 12 when baby is born. So biiig age gap. He's desperate for a brother or sister though - he talks about it a lot.

cryingbabymess · 22/03/2015 08:55

I managed to blag the no drink but saying I wasn't feeling well. When I was in to the pub out of the cold I did actually start coughing so that helped. We only ended up staying about an hour and a half! Was fine though! I've been getting stomach cramps this morning but not sure if it was because I really needed to pee!

Found out last night my OH has told 1 of the guys he works with but only because his kid was born like 3 days ago! I'm not angry with him just disappointed that he didn't tell me he told him! He wants to tell everyone but I keep reminding him that if the worst happens he would have to tell everyone that too!

CishAndFips · 22/03/2015 09:22

morning all. so ds just told me that babies aren't allowed in this house Shock we havent told him yet as he has mithered for a baby for months it would be the longest pregnancy in history. looks like hes had a sudde.n change of heart. oops.

mrscatmad31 · 22/03/2015 09:23

underesther (((hugs)))
morning sickness again this morning, luckily it's not too bad. midwife on Tuesday :-)

cryingbabymess · 22/03/2015 09:37

I've just started to feel very nauseous! So nibbling on a digestive but don't think it's making me better, if anything it's slightly worse.

ashboo76 · 22/03/2015 09:38

Thank you halestone sorry I missed new thread very new to this... The codes are hilarious I thought they'd be really technical Grin ... How is everyone today?
