ninja I don't fit in any of my clothes anymore... and I'm eating less and not drinking alcohol!

ninjabeer · 21/03/2015 08:28

Stickytoffee my ribs are really sore but I'm putting it down to a pulled muscle from bronchitis. It's agony. Especially if I cough or sneeze. a horrid stabbed pain And of course can't take anything for it. Also pulled something in my shoulder blade so an a right whinging mini. Poor DH doesn't know what to do bless him! hoping this will pass soon enough.

BowiesJumper · 21/03/2015 08:30

Morning! And welcome to the new people!

I've put on weight but that's because I'm eating more I think!! Am going to be good for the next week or so though. Don't want to be massive at my booking in!

Also got some twingey cramps today but nothing worse than on previous occasions.

Unthoughtknown · 21/03/2015 08:33

Me stickytoffeegirl! In hindsight the only clue I had that I was pregnant before +'ve test was I played a netball match around cd 28, and I was so out of puff I was doubled up after the first quarter. Grim. Congratulations on your bfp!

cryingbabymess · 21/03/2015 08:44

I'm hopeful I've not put on too much weight as my outfit for tonight was just fitting before I POAS! Fingers crossed for when I try it on later but I won't be surprised if I have especially as I'm not smoking anymore.

FlossyLil · 21/03/2015 08:45

Welcome, new bfps!

I've put on a couple of pounds, but like Bowies I'm eating a bit more, to stave off the nausea. Have even got a packet of rich tea by the bed to have one before I get out of bed, to help ease it. I know everyone likes to feel symptoms, but I'll be glad when the nausea passes!

CishAndFips · 21/03/2015 08:48

bowies im the same cant stop eating have been taking eating for two far to literally going t be much more healthy this week and less of a pig Blush

stickytoffeegirl · 21/03/2015 08:50

Thanks!

I've read it can be due to iron deficiency so off to get some vitamins and fill the fridge with spinach today.

Bumpingalong84 · 21/03/2015 08:57

Morning ladies,

I have to say FlossyLil I am still waiting for more symptoms to kick in Smile all I've got is some very slight queasiness. Otherwise feel ok! Haha I'm sure if they kick in I'll be wishing them away. I'm only 5weeks today, so seems like a long road of worrying ahead until the scan.

MamaGotABrandNewBag · 21/03/2015 08:59

I can't stop eating! I've eaten 3 Easter eggs this week. Ridiculous.
I had the tight chest thing with my last pregnancy but not this time (well not yet anyway)

FlossyLil · 21/03/2015 09:08

Don't worry Bumping I'm 7 weeks today, and although I had some minor symptoms before, I really noticed them around the 6 week mark. This last week has been a real week of the nausea. Like you, can't wait til the 12 weeks and actually seeing the little baba on the screen Smile , and hopefully the MS will have passed then, so I can start to feel glowing, although wondering if that's a myth Hmm

PinkaColada · 21/03/2015 09:08

Hi all,
I've mostly been a lurker on this thread, still getting my head around it all really. I came off the pill in Jan ready to try around March/April. One time being lax with contraception was all it took and I conceived in mid Feb. I know it's nothing really but it really threw me and some of the plans we had. This is baby # 1 EDD 15/11.
One of the smaller plans was to look after SIL's new pushchair for their PFB due in May until they were ready. Apparently, it's a bad luck thing to keep it in the house. I'm not really superstitious, but slightly apprehensive about it now. I think I'll get DF and DH to put it on the loft. Out of sight out of mind!

Crumbelina · 21/03/2015 09:38

Morning all,

9 weeks today - bloody hell!

I've had all the symptoms listed below: awful nausea, cramping in the night, weight gain (sweets and Lucozade to fend off nausea), sore/bigger breasts and now, erm, mouth ulcers.

I can't fit into my jeans any more but I have noticed that the bloating has reduced slightly. I was a bit worried about the sudden weight gain but it's tailed off slightly.

Good luck to everyone blagging the non-drinking tonight. I'll be doing the same. I really can't be bothered to go out! It used to be such fun when I could drink ... Smile

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 21/03/2015 09:39

Morning all - welcome to the newbies

Well, I'm feeling quite concerningly well. I've done another IC and the line came up almost immediately and as dark as the control line so hoping all ok as I had to squeeze some wee out so it wasn't fmu. I'm 5+5 today.

I'm still bloody freezing though at night. I had to go to bed last night in a pair of thermal pyjamas and a dressing gown plus two extra blankets over the quilt and it still took me about half an hour to get warm. . Dh was in a pair of boxer shorts looking Confused

Sorry if this is tmi, bit is anyone suffering from bottom end issues? I seem to go between explosive diarrhoea and cinstipation Blush Confused

Re sore sides: I had this with my other two DC. My aunt in law is a gp (and mother of 4) and told me it can be the corpus luteum which is there ti release progesterone befire the placenta takes over. It can bleed a bit which can cause irritation and hurt

Crumbelina · 21/03/2015 09:39

Bumping my nausea didn't kick in until just before 6 weeks (the most common time for it to start apparently).

Lauramum23 · 21/03/2015 09:48

Gobbolino ( where do you get these names lolGrin) I'm having bottom issues!
And I think nausea is kicking in for me just felt so sick after brekkie! Good sign I didn't have much symptoms with the miscarriage.

BleachedBarnet · 21/03/2015 10:04

Morning! And a big welcome to all the newbies, love how crowded this bus is getting Grin

I'm 6+1 today hurrah! So far it seems the dreaded ms has been kept at bay, but who knows when it will strike? DP (is that the right acronym for boyfriend/partner?) made me a lovely breakfast in bed today and then we argued over state vs private schooling and where to 'draw the line' on gendered toys/clothes. For me there's no issue, children can play with and wear whatever they want - his issue is little boys in pink getting bullied. I think encouraging children to suppress their personalities in order to fit in is not the way forward somehow...

Anyway, let me not get too deep before I've even had the baby. I've definitely got the sore boobs now, sorry if tmi but my nipples are on constant 'red alert' these days it's quite embarrassing!

Frescoed · 21/03/2015 10:32

Morning All,

Did a second test yesterday (just to be sure) and relieved to know I still am pg and the weeks have ticked over. Not many other symptoms at the moment, I guess that's normal at 5 and a bit weeks, right?

Off to watch the rugby and some live boxing tonight so I guess I'll basically have a neon sign over my head fit right in with my diet tonic in hand....

FlossyLil · 21/03/2015 10:43

Wow Crumbelina 9 weeks! Are any of your MS symptoms starting to ease or are they still in full swing?

Bumpingalong84 · 21/03/2015 10:47

Frescoed I'm off to watch the rugby with our best friends too, think I'm gonna have to spill the beans as they are just gonna know when I drive over and we were meant to be catching the train to make a session of it haha!
I tested again this morning, DH thinks I'm loopy! Tmi warning!! I had a bit of brown pink smudge on TP, so just paranoid! Seems like forever till I see anyone medical Hmm

cryingbabymess · 21/03/2015 11:29

Crumbelina I can't be bothered going out either but I kinda have to! I'm still clueless as to how I'm going to blag it tonight! I've gotta tell her I'm now driving rather than staying in a hotel Confused will see how it goes I guess!

Crumbelina · 21/03/2015 11:56

Flossy, they are! The nausea started easing off a few days ago. I only get a queasy feeling before breakfast and dinner. It's kind of a relief but I've had a panic about it stopping earlier than expected. It could well come back tomorrow though! Still knackered and sore breasts, which I can cope with.

Haha, Crying! Smile It all feels like such an effort!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 21/03/2015 12:22

I did another test this morning too, I had one cheapy left over so thought I'd make use of it. the line came up before the control line and was so lovely and bold! considering the last one I took was about a week ago and was still pretty faint, this is very reassuring!Grin

cryingbabymess · 21/03/2015 12:40

Crumbelina it's such a thought. My OH is out with his work to bingo tonight then coming to meet me, he's just got home and said he can't be bothered going out and that we should just stay in.....I'm contemplating it but not sure if I can cancel on my mate?! Xx

CoffeeTwo · 21/03/2015 12:44

Afternoon ladies. Who's up for a bit of tmi this sunny Saturday?

What are people's feelings on sex/orgasms in the first trimester? I've been too scared so far.
