mrstothemr 13th November, never know might see you there :) !!!

orangebud · 20/03/2015 19:30

So sorry reeree. Take care of yourself.

NotSpartacus · 20/03/2015 19:33

So sorry, Ree

Twobees. I had a looong labour and emcs with DD1 which was a bit traumatic. Second time around I wanted things to be different. I agreed with the hospital that I would go to the MLU and could go in the pool (this took meetings with my consultant and supervisor of midwives) on the conditions that I was monitored (using a handheld) between contractions and would transfer to the CLU at the first hint of trouble.

I hired a private MW too, so I wasn't so stressed about it all. Plus it was fab to have individual ante and post natal care.

Long story short, DD2 got stuck in the same position as DD1 and I had a crash section! But it was a very different labour; was at home to 10cm, I knew a section was a possibility, and I felt I'd given it my best shot. It was genuinely a better outcome.

I don't know if you are near me (N London) but if so I can recommend some midwives who are happy to do homebirths (i.e. instead of the hospital midwives) or to support you in hospital if you want to go there.

TwoBeesInTheHive · 20/03/2015 19:45

thanks notsparticus Im not in london but have found one local to me. only problem is I mentioned it to dh today and was met with a flat out no. he thinks its way too risky. annoyingly it doesn't seem like he will even consider it. if I could get them to agree to letting me on the mlu and use the pool if I want then I'd be happy with that. but I'm not very good with confrontation and don't know if I'd be able to hold my ground under pressure. especially if they changed their minds and refused at the last minute when I'm in labour! I think it would be alot harder to argue between contractions!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 20/03/2015 20:04

I am, um, windy this evening. Not sure if it's a symptom or just Mexican food :)

mrscatmad31 · 20/03/2015 20:05

Really sorry reeree Sad

BowiesJumper · 20/03/2015 20:09

Tiny that's good to hear, thanks!

TheTravellingLemon · 20/03/2015 20:11

Flowers Ree. Look after yourself.

Two Restless leg syndrome is definitely common in pregnancy. Could it be that?

Just a quick 'hi' before bed. No.2 due 23rd... yippee! Ds will then be 22 months. I'm 32 and in SW x

Bronzemoth · 20/03/2015 22:34

Hi everyone. I'd like to hop on the bus. I've no2 due on the 24th (due date calendars) or 20th(based on conception date). So early days worrying about no symptoms until they kick in at which point I'll want them to go away. Especially worried about the tiredness that hit last time as ds is 18months and still up 1or2 times a night. notsparticus I'm North London as well.

pennygirl26 · 20/03/2015 23:03

hale i had same thoughts as you had a luvly bath. still wanting to eat ha. going to try sleep got a wedding tomorrow

mrscatmad31 · 21/03/2015 06:32

woke in the night with the cramps I've been getting (thinking it might be wind!) And felt so bad I got up, nearly passed out in the toilet and felt really sick, this morning I feel sick (haven't up until now) nothing to worry about is it? thinking maybe ms is just kicking in

mrstothemr · 21/03/2015 07:19

Mrscat sounds fairly normal to me, as long as it's not accompanied by heavy bleeding and or one sided pains. Did you eat something that might have done it? I have to steer clear of all previously ok food, even faint spice makes me feel completely awful in the morning

ninjabeer · 21/03/2015 08:04

morning all. Has anyone found that they are putting weight on already? I feel podgy and my boobs are a smidge bigger but surely I shouldn't have gained 5lbs. I'm not drinking or smoking which usually means I eat a bit more but I don't think I'm eating that much more. I usually do the 5.2 diet to maintain my weight but have stopped that until I can get advice. I think I may need to get back into a bit of gentle exercise.

Big party tonight so keeping on with the medication excuse for not boozing. I'm totally going to get found out at this rate. But am secretly desparate to tell the world! Bitter lemon is my new favourite drink.

What has everyone got planned for the weekend?

mrscatmad31 · 21/03/2015 08:09

mrstothemr I've had pain mainly on my right side since day one really, it's not severe though so wasn't too worried, wasn't really because of the pain I felt faint last night, just felt generally rubbish. so hard to know what's normal and so easy to worry!

mrstothemr · 21/03/2015 08:13

I knew what you mean, am monitoring every twinge here! Trying not to, but hey

I figure if it feels wrong just rock up to a&e and get them to check. Not a big deal and ime they're very caring

cryingbabymess · 21/03/2015 08:15

I've got really bad cramps today too! I never get cramps not even before I was pregnant! Curling up in a ball is the only way to help!

I've got a 40th birthday tonight, we booked a non refundable hotel too which we are no longer using as would rather come home. I've not text my mate to tell her I'm driving yet, I think as soon as I do she will guess!!! Ninja I'm the same I want to tell the world but can't just yet Confused

Lauramum23 · 21/03/2015 08:20

Ch114 (you need an easier nameSmile) and bronze moth hello I'm a newbie too it will take us a while to get chatting as we are the tail end of the month so already behind! I feel queezy on and off sore boobs, bigger boobs and nips! And a metallic taste that won't go! Got it a week before I poas so I knew! Oh and a bit of a funny tummy ( number 2)Anyone else.

stickytoffeegirl · 21/03/2015 08:21

Hi all, mind if I join? I've been lurking here for a few weeks as I got my BFP 3 weeks ago. Congratulations to everyone on theirs!

I'm 31, baby #1, EDD 10/11

I was wondering if anyone is experiencing shortness of breath or a tightness in their chest? I'm a reasonably fit person but finding I'm needing to take really deep breaths to get enough air. Is this a common feeling?
