Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Lauren82000 · 13/03/2015 10:16

Did I mention DH scrapped Dylan as our boy name? He still likes Harrison which was a contender when we were looking for DD's name. (She was a surprise too) I don't like it at all now, it sounds like a surname not a first name. Not even a particular fan of Harry either, maybe it'll grow on me. His other suggestion was Jackson which I have the same issue with. He just says no to every single name I have suggested. I'm almost resorting to biblical names like Jehoshaphat at this point.

RL20 · 13/03/2015 10:20

Daholster hehe I know what you mean. Is he one of those with a briefcase that's possibly empty too Grin or had a laptop in and pretends he is working, getting it out and staring intently at the screen whilst sitting in McDonalds having a coffee. I've seen many of them Grin
Or maybe I just visit McDonalds too often...

Lauren I'm afraid I'm one of those people that will not be wanting to deliver vaginally if baby is breech Confused it just makes me go Confused
If they happen to tell me that it's the safest option for the baby to do that then obviously, of course I will. But if in my case it comes around to it and he's breech, and they offer a c section for means of being safer then I definitely won't be saying 'no please I want to do it naturally!' ShockShock
And if neither is safer than the other, and he's breech, then I think I would choose c section.
Though I wouldn't choose it lightly and would look into more to get some facts, as I am a naive first timer after all! Blush

Penguin hope everything's going ok. And yes my dream was a bit Shock but it was nice! I think it's because I rearranged the bedroom yesterday and now there is actual space for when we set the Moses basket up. So my subconscious mind was already imagining it Grin

Skyra I can't believe that after all the stressing you were doing about bra shopping, you didn't get a chance to be measured! How annoying. Is it a big M&S? If so, I don't see why they would need to book an appointment! I would of thought there would be a few trained bra fitters. I can't remember if I had to book at mine, or not?! That was a while ago. I just got a cup size bigger than I have been wearing, the width still feels ok, at the minute anyway! I have gone from a nice little set of 34B/C's, to a 36D, and now a 36DD!Shock I wonder if they'll go back down afterwards?! I'm not used to these heavy things on the front of my chest!

RL20 · 13/03/2015 10:25

Also, Daholster, I like Beaumont! I know of a girl who recently called her little boy Beau. Not everyone I've come across is keen on it but it's definitely different. Although without thinking properly, it was going to be a middle name, as her partner wanted Harry. Work it out yourself! And that is honest and true! Until people pointed it out, so it then became his first name instead Grin

Lauren, I like Jackson, but spelt Jaxon. I remember seeing that name for the first time and thinking 'Wow I love it, how different!' And then after saying it a few times, realised it was just Jackson spelt differently! Grin I do like it as an alternative spelling though.

Hidingthefear · 13/03/2015 10:25

I'm so far behind but lovely to hear babies arriving.

brixton if your still about, would you mind telling me how/where you hired your birth pool from? I want to get one coz I'm planning a home birth but not sure where to start.

Hypnobirthing classes finished now and I'm so excited for birth :) people keep asking if I'm fed up yet and just want him out, but I feel privileged to be pregnant with a straightforward pregnancy. "Getting it over with" seems so negative, yes I'm still sick, and now tired, and achey, but I always try and remember that people would kill to be in my position.

Mmm spam and egg butty just arrived Grin

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 13/03/2015 10:26

eventually got back to sleep at around 6, to be woken by the alarm at 6.30! So another early night for me tonight, even if I end up leaving my fiance with the kids.

some exciting stuff on this thread today!

FiRaffe · 13/03/2015 10:31

I'm up to a 38f and no milk really yet.... should be fun, the back ache is bad enough now!!!

Hope the walk isn't too bad daholster. Hate inconsiderate people, especially in restaurants.... DH looks at me disapprovingly if I make sarcastic comments to them though!!!hehe

BananaToast · 13/03/2015 10:32

Hiding that's how I feel about things. Sure, I'd be happy to have baby here soon but I'm also very happy that he is still cooking without any problems x

BananaToast · 13/03/2015 10:37

Oops fingers sending kisses on autopilot Blush

BrixtonBunny · 13/03/2015 10:38

Hiding it's from a website called water baby birth pool hire. £90 for a pool and all the accessories, and the woman on the phone was an absolute dream, let me pick delivery date, told me not to worry if I couldn't return it before 42 weeks, and was generally polite and pleasant. I'd totally recommend them! You fill out an order form on their website and they call you when you get to 36 weeks to confirm and take payment. Can't remember how far along you are but if you're over 36 weeks just put that in comments and they will call you quickly. Hope that helps - glad I'll have a home birth buddy! X

BrixtonBunny · 13/03/2015 10:41

Hiding just a thought - you might want to ask your midwife if she has a pool you could borrow / hire too. My midwife said my hospital had some but I was too late to reserve one, but you never know - might be worth investigating if you can get one for free!

PenguinPoser · 13/03/2015 11:03

Ah I love the idea of all the birthing pools! Having had a nice bath last night I'm quite disappointed that I won't be able to use the pool in hospital due to continuous monitoring. Although don't get me wrong I would rather be on the monitor as high risk to know if there are any problems. Just hoping to be able to stay as active/upright as possible for as long as possible - hope they have a birthing ball I can use. until I decide it's all too much and get the epidural but even then I will try and stay upright!

I'm getting worried about giving my cold to the baby Confused if this is still going on next week I'm going to see GP as I've only had sinusitis once before and ended up on antibiotics to clear it up after suffering for 3 weeks, and I feel this might be going the same way. I know realistically they wouldn't have given me them so far anyway so probably nothing else I can do but wait. And moan!

Shame about the silly man daholster! Hope you enjoy the feeling of being officially finished work now. I still like Rory Heath as your boys name Smile
Lauren hope you can get your DH's agreement on a name soon, not useful when they shoot down your suggestions but can't come up with anything better.

FiRaffe · 13/03/2015 11:11

Hope you feel better Penguin. Have you been inhaling steam? Might just ease everything and can add some olbas oil too if you like the smell.

skyra13 · 13/03/2015 11:18

Its a big enough M&S clothing one as food one is separate few doors down! I think I will wait on the bra front and take DH with me a week after Bab as our first trip out together shopping once she has arrived as we will need to get her passport sorted to.

Thanks for kind words ladies Grin

daholster · 13/03/2015 11:46

Penguin if you manage to breastfeed its pretty much guaranteed baby won't catch it Flowers

I can't believe how excited I am for you!

On the sofa now... the walk ended in contractions and painful hips and pelvis but nothing too serious and settled now. I bought some flowers in an oblong pot for the kitchen windowsill and they look cool Smile Think that must be a nesting thing though - its not cheap this nesting!!!

I think he will be a Rory Heath though dh did suggest Robinson last night which can be shortened many ways and I think is cool... Rob, Robbie, Bobby, or even Sonny if ds wanted (though I don't like it, he might). I think our final shortlist will look like this and I would (finally!) be very happy with it:

Rory
Robinson
Monty (maybe Beaumont if I could sneak it by... known as Monty)
Jamie

With likely Heath (or less likely Jack) as a middle name. Grin

If there is a ds2 I'll let him have a Jack if he wants Grin

smogsville · 13/03/2015 11:47

daholster I don't think OMG even begins to cover it for the woman with twin boys coming to join a 2yo. Let's hope and pray she's insanely rich, with the full complement of staff to help her...

Yum eggs benedict. Am planning an egg sarnie for lunch (cupboard's a bit bare after all that cooking) but yours sounds vastly superior. That man sounds like a piece of work. I'm sure he's enormously important, all the best people conduct top level biz meetings in garden centres after all.

I think it's safe to say I never want to see another wooden spoon, chopping board or stock cube as long as I live. Supermarket chicken kievs, chips and peas for supper tonight!

Misty that's mega annoying. Surely the ones you made for your team can be given straight to them? I'm sure they'll be appreciated nonetheless. I speak as something of a cake fiend.

My mat leave can't start soon enough I just spoke to this absolute TOOL of a client who makes my blood boil. I don't smoke but feel like I need a cigarette he is such an idiot! AngryConfusedAngry

Lauren what about Elijah if you're going biblical? Just heard something on the radio about an Elijah. My DH would make his stock are you having a laugh face if I suggested it obviously.

Lauren82000 · 13/03/2015 11:55

Smogs He would veto all the biblical names too but that's pretty much all that I haven't suggested at this point. I actually said Bobby last night and he said good for a girl or a boy. So when I said yes it's short for Roberta he laughed himself silly. So that's out too. Wink

daholster · 13/03/2015 11:56

Robin/Robyn for Bobby Lauren!

daholster · 13/03/2015 12:24

Uh oh pickled onion under the sofa...

daholster · 13/03/2015 12:26

Must stop drinking the vinegar!!!

daholster · 13/03/2015 12:29

Its alright got some creamy chocolate now to balance it out Grin

Pickled onion is remaining under the sofa til dh gets home!!!!!

Lauren82000 · 13/03/2015 12:32

How could you let one escape Daholster? Personally can't stand them but a word of warning BiL drank a bottle of vinegar and at his last dentist appointment the dentist pointed out his massive enamel erosion. He didn't own up to drinking a bottle of vinegar and just shrugged.

daholster · 13/03/2015 12:44

He drank a whole bottle... Shock I have to stop myself after a few gulps, its a pregnancy thing for me. I love pickled onion vinegar especially from sweet onions... Last pregnancy it was huge gherkins though!!!

minipie · 13/03/2015 12:53

Morning all!

Eventful night here - waters went at 3am, contractions soon after and baby Cecily was born at 6.15! All very quick. Earlier than I'd have liked at 36+6 but she is a decent weight (6lb 13) and 36+6 is a lot better than her sister (34+0).

Sounds like River had a similar night?!

daholster · 13/03/2015 12:59

OMG!!!! Minipie I was thinking about you this morning and wondering where you had gone today!!!

Congratulations! Oh wow it really is a good day for babies!!! 36+6 is a day off term so not bad at all, well done! Oooooooh I'm getting impatient...

Penguin maybe this means your baby will arrive nice and swiftly with that pessary this afternoon? Grin

Crossing fingers and thinking of river too. How funny that your waters went an hour apart from each other and you were both up but neither had any idea...!

Try and get some rest all of you!
