Come on England!!!!

leanne no tips as such but sending solidarity vibes as it is tough. Just remember that you can take things a little slower and no one will mind!

:) Thanks kitty I just took a 2 hour nap and feel loads better I think I am gonna be a napper not a sleep-through-the-nighter!!

Yes watching the Six Nations Rachey it's weird cause in went to school and was friends with Dave Attwood!!

leanne963 · 21/03/2015 17:00

Oh he's not playing!! Woops!!

Blondie87 · 21/03/2015 17:12

Hope everyone's having a nice relaxing Saturday.

I've had no bleeding at all since being pregnant until this morning..... After not having had any action, decided it was time to for DH. Ended up bleeding, gave me a huge shock as was bright red and definitely more than spotting. Rang the midwife assessment unit who reassured me it's normal. Bleeding has now stopped but I'm still lightly spotting- has anyone experienced this? Not dtd again for a while!!

shinyhappyone · 21/03/2015 17:27

Yes rachey but it's not looking good for England at the moment Hmm

Agh blondie, that's not good. Glad the midwife has said it's nothing to worry about though xx

d0ttyne11 · 21/03/2015 18:33

Ohhh we are getting close to the end of this thread.

I keep wondering if some of us will be mummies by the end of Thread 8 Wink

I have just caught up with a OBEM on 4OD and found there little extra videos (I think they are called 'The Dads') to be pretty good too!!

Snooky17 · 21/03/2015 19:26

Had that on my last pregnancy Blondie was checked by hospital and told it was a cervical bleed, that s why I haven't DTD at all with this one, it's why OH is a miserable cranky bastard I hope

Blondie87 · 21/03/2015 20:46

I've not been checked Snooky, but I won't be doing it again while pregnant. It's his birthday weekend so it was intended as a treat haha!

gingerfluffball · 21/03/2015 23:40

Blondie sorry to hear about the bleed. Sounded scary but at least you know it's all fine. Don't blame you for not DTD again after that!

Dotty what a lovely thought... one of my friends has just delivered her first little girl and it's making me so impatient to meet our baby! 33+5 here and counting down each and every day.

And leanne totally normal I think - I was teaching last week and mixing everything up and failing to pronounce things, felt really silly but blamed it on baby brain and the students were laughing along with me. I think you can get away with generally low expectations after 30 weeks Smile

applecore0317 · 22/03/2015 01:40

leanne I can promise you aren't alone, sleep deprivation has caused me to fail for the first time ever on one of my email quality assesments. Am known for always getting top scores...

have also made a couple of stupid mistakes emailing the wrong customers...

Sorry about the bleed blondie must have been scary, glad the midwife could reassure you :)

nothing wrong with rhe kitkats shiney having also hit the chocolate pretty hard lately I have to say that I think its perfectly reasonable.

I have the medela electric pump. My aunt gave it to me, so I was lucky enough to not have to pay for it and just had to get some new bits for it.

Bought a small holdall thing on wheels for my hospital bag. Going to start packing it this week :)

aberjen · 22/03/2015 02:32

Argh! DD woke at 00.30 and although I managed to settle her fairly quickly I have been awake ever since Sad

On pumps, my hospital uses the ameda ones - I hired one and it was brilliant so purchased a 'domestic' version (ameda lactaline) and loved that too.

Also, if you have feeding probs whilst still in hospital you might be offered bm from milk bank - dd struggled to latch and hospital mws said if I couldn't hand express colostrum then they could get some milk from the milk bank. (Funny the things you forget until you start trying to remember - like sitting with your boobs out while a stranger watches you try to squeeze out colostrum into a 1 ml syringe Grin)

Am also a total space cadet at the moment with not sleeping properly. Have been sleeping in spare room so as not to disturb DP, so he had a shock last night when we shared hotel bed - mattress was pretty firm and killed my hips so I spent all night tossing and turning. He seems a bit more understanding of my zombie dopeyness now though, so silver linings and all that...

applecore0317 · 22/03/2015 06:46

My mum used to donate to the milk bank for the neo natal unit. Her boobs over produced milk so she didn't want it go to waste :) it's a great idea

sorry you've had such a rubbish sleep aberjen

this is the bag I bought for the hospital, really pleased with the size :) thought I would share in case anyone is looking for a new bag. Had to get on as DH broke my weekend bag cause he took it to a festivalHmm

KittyVonCatsington · 22/03/2015 07:55

Always nice to get new things apple Grin sorry for the sleepiness night aberjen-so frustrating!!
Blondie that is the main reason I haven't wanted to DTD-I've had bleeding at various points in this pregnancy and even when told it is fine re:baby, it is still very scary to see!!
d0tt- yes, can you imagine...more babies on the next thread, possibly!

Hope we can all have a relaxing Sunday!!

Hi everyone, I'm still in hospital, day 3 now. Was on the verge of going home yesterday then I had another bit of bleeding. Feeling down now about it as I miss H and DS so much. H is at work and is the only manager so can't leave and does 12 hour shifts so DS is with my mam.
The girls I'm on the ward with are nice though. All nearly at the end of their pregnancies so keep going off to have their babies.
Breakfast is here now so I'll catch up with the thread later.

FeelingBlessed77 · 22/03/2015 09:21

Sorry to hear you're still in hospital turquoise. Hope you get to go home soon

SmileyScooby · 22/03/2015 09:28

Turquoise sorry to hear you are still in hospital, hope that you can go home soon x

Have also been suffering with baby brain/sleep deprivation at work and the kids have been great when I've forgotten what I was saying part way through a sentence etc.

Was up at 3am with heartburn this morning :(

Apple I like the look of that bag, might have a look if they do a non pink one :)

Pump wise am going to get myself a manual hand pump (dunno which yet possibly avent as read good things) to try and then maybe get a electric one later on - I just want DH to be able to feed baby etc as well :)

Enjoy your Sunday ladies.

Blondie87 · 22/03/2015 09:35

That bag looks perfect for taking to hospital apple.

Leanne completely understand, got major baby brain! Left my car keys in a hedge over night?! Keep forgetting how to spell words on the board in class too.

Bleeding/spotting has tailed off thankfully. I'm sorry to hear you're still in hospital Turquoise, it must be really difficult being part from your family. Hope you get out soon.

Watch OBEM and thought it would freak me out but actually it reassured me as have now seen a cesarean, forceps delivery and natural birth all with positive outcomes! Made me realise I'll just have to have a labour which is the best in the situation.

Scottishgal78 · 22/03/2015 11:21

Aw turquoise that's just rubbish. Hope you get out soon!

Turquoisetamborine · 22/03/2015 11:29

I'm going home in an hour! Yay!
Breast pumps - I had a manual one last time but never got much out so I'm just going to use formula when I'm not there to feed the baby. Your supply adjusts once the first few weeks are over.

leanne963 · 22/03/2015 11:31

Thank you Kitty Ginger Apple Smiley and Blondie I knew there was such thing as baby brain i just didn't realise it would make me feel so out of it!!

Blondie How Annoying, this is the main reason me and DP havn't DTD in so long probably twice in the past 4 months. I really hope i can make it up to him after the baby is born ha!! Luckily he is being really understanding!

Ohhh thats a lovely bag Apple I wanted a new bag but DP said that we can just use one of our old ones...lol no fun!!

Aww Turquoise Sorry to hear you are still in Hospital! Hope you can go home today!

Blondie I love watching OBEM even DP is asking if we can watch it cause he wants to be prepared!!! I always end up crying when the baby is born though, makes me so excited to be in that position!!

Had to borrow my DP beard trimmer today to tackle my bikini line, it was getting really long and itchy. He was laughing so much!! I can't be bothered to do it properly, i just wanted a tidy up! My legs on the other hand....pshhhh thank God its still cold enough to have everything covered up ha!!

applecore0317 · 22/03/2015 12:49

smiley I got it in red lol, they do it in blue, black and other colours :)

Sorry you're still in hospital Turquoise

Yes Kitty love an excuse to buy a few new things, I feel with all the money I save by not going out it's only fair :D

glad your bleeding has stopped blondie

ha ha leanne, I'll be tackling mine today, going to attempt to wax with the help of a mirror... can't see it going well

oooh just seen you saying your going home turquoise yeeeey

Sunshinesaz86 · 22/03/2015 13:00

Hi ladies, I hope your all having a lovely relaxing Sunday!

Sorry to hear your still bleeding turquoise I hope u get home to your family soon.

blondie glad your bleeding was nothing serous, still scary all the same. I hope DH appreciated it! Also been watching lots of obem even tho midwife at ante natal class advised us all not too last week? Odd?

Haha love all the 'tidying up' talk I had a wax a few weeks back so legs aren't bad but did tackle bikini again with mac3 blind, couldn't see a thing just hoped for the best! No idea what it's ended up looking like!Grin

Scottishgal78 · 22/03/2015 14:26

Yay turquoise!

I've decided to make a roast and brownies for pudding today. Don't know if it's nesting or greed! I'm thinking the latter!

leanne963 · 22/03/2015 17:24

Scottish Joining you on the roast front, got the chicken in now :D
