I am still waiting for my scan date... and shoild really send off my maternity exemption thingy.

Toffeegirl39 · 19/02/2015 12:17

Thanks for your replies, can't work out how to get your names in bold but:

Tallalime: Great, yes, I need more friends in the area too, very rural where I am atm but hoping to move nearer civilisation soon (house on market, another stress!!)

Whatabout: thanks, I guess they will just send me down for bloods then. I'm going to Cheltenham for the scan.

GoooRooo - why not?? Grin

Toffeegirl39 · 19/02/2015 12:26

Tallalime Which hospital will you be going to for your scan? Got my appointment ages ago.

Whatabout · 19/02/2015 12:28

name without the spaces

My exemption came through with my surname spelt wrong. Got to send it back I guess.

If you haven't had a scan date id ring ultrasound and check they've got a referral. They won't mind checking you are in the system.

Toffeegirl39 · 19/02/2015 12:30

Thanks whatabout ! Got it - what a dinosaur !!

Quinandthem · 19/02/2015 13:19

We didn't do nct last time - when we enquired it was already fully booked.

I did antenatal yoga and met a great group of women there - it's nice as I joined at 12wks and finished at 40 so you got to know people over a longer period than nct.

We are still friends now and regularly meet up for nights out and play dates even though we are now back at work.

I liked the nhs sessions but they were under pressure to cut the hours from 6 to 4 (plus 2 breast feeding sessions)

Whatabout · 19/02/2015 13:20

I had to look it up a few weeks back!

StrawberryCheese · 19/02/2015 13:34

Hi all, I'm off work today. I hardly ate anything yesterday and had a bad night with nausea and just generally being wide awake and emotional. The past two days in work I have struggled to keep it together. It's funny how you get landed with more work and pressure after they tell you that your services are no longer required Hmm So today I thought feck em, it saves me biting someone's head off and I've caught up on much needed sleep. It was set to be a quiet day today so don't feel too guilty.

I'm getting quite anxious about this pregnancy. Still have over three weeks until scan and getting a bad feeling. No evidence to suggest anything is wrong, it's just the not knowing.

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/02/2015 14:20

Marking my place.
I read everyone's posts and then forget to post myself.
Is anyone else feeling rather huge? This will be my third baby, I'm 8 or 9 weeks and my tummy is massively bloated and I've put on 6lbs

lovesmycake · 19/02/2015 14:34

strawberry don't feel guilty, your health is important and you don't owe anything to a company that makes you redundant. Sorry you are feeling anxious could it be related to everything else that you have going on? Try to focus on the positives lots of symptoms and no evidence that anything is wrong. (I know that's easier said then done!) and have some Flowers to cheer you up, I would offer cake but if your nausea is like mine that won't help!!

Toffeegirl39 · 19/02/2015 14:35

getoffthecoffee I feel huge!! I look about 4 months gone- Its my 3rd too Smile

LittleSesameSeed · 19/02/2015 14:36

Marking my place! Feeling very pregnant today and very sorry for myself! Hmm still awaiting scan date- 12 weeks today!

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/02/2015 14:50

Thanks toffeegirl I feel better that I'm not alone on this. I had awful nausea with my other two pregnancies (both boys) but this time I haven't suffered with it at all, I've just been ravenous. DH thinks it's hilarious that I'm eating so much.
strawberrycheese your health is way more important than work, take things easy.
littlesesameseed are you ok? What's getting you down?

GoooRooo · 19/02/2015 14:51

getoffthecoffee I've put on half a stone and I'm 8 weeks Shock. I'm not small to start with! I recently lost three and a half stone (although obviously half a stone of that is now back on) on Slimming World and at my booking in appointment this morning my midwife encouraged me to stay on it. I am secretly gutted haha. It makes sense though, I don't really want to gain a lot in this pregnancy.

My jeans are super tight - I've just been looking online at maternity wear.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 19/02/2015 14:53

Just got delivery of my first maternity clothes. Was so worried they wouldn't fit because I'm too fat! They did fit! Absolutely wonderful to be in trousers with a bump band. I'm convinced I'm going to get massive and people at work are going to guess before my scan! I've got two school weeks and a bit before my scan and I already think I'm at the is she/isn't she stage!

sebsmummy1 · 19/02/2015 14:54

Bad news from me I'm afraid. Baby died at just gone 11 weeks. They seem to want me to MC naturally but obviously I'm not keen. I've got to ring then tomorrow. I haven't even cried, just totally numb.

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/02/2015 14:55

goooRooo I know what you mean about trying not to pile on the pounds. I do need to reign in my eating habits as they're really bad at the moment. Need to stock up on things that are good for me although I'm only craving carbs at the moment.
Well done on your weight loss. I did Slimming World a few years ago and thought it was a great plan. They've changed it all around now though and it's over my head now!

Whatabout · 19/02/2015 14:56
