Happy belated birthday kismac hope your cold gets better.

Cinnamon I have the utmost respect for you still doing those runs. I half wonder if I hadn't become lazy in early pregnancy after previously being quite active then I might be more mobile now! I remember how good a run feels (afterwards!) and can't wait to get out again in the summer.

Daholster hope you've been seen now and it went ok! I totally sympathise with them running late too and would rather just wait than kick up as fuss as you say anything could have happened. Shame your DH didn't make it in time though.

RL so pleased everything is ok and that you got checked out and an extra peek at your little one.

Boo hopefully your urine results are back soon and you get treatment if you need it. I sympathise too with GP waiting times but do think there should be a robust system in the practice for seeing emergencies - which I would class a pregnant lady with pain/UTI as worthy of an emergency appointment!

I've had an eventful afternoon... Have also been for scan and antenatal clinic. Bloods are stable and scan ok so consultant is happy to wait another 2 weeks until I'm 37w. Induction date booked 2 weeks on Saturday Shock so quite scary and soon. Think I should get some more small baby clothes, estimated weight today approx 5lb6oz. Fingers crossed baby grows more in next 2 weeks!

BananaToast · 26/02/2015 18:37

Happy birthday for yesterday kismac, hope you feel better soon.

Eek Penguin, can't believe you're having a baby so soon!

Nunkie · 26/02/2015 19:10

smogs - >>That tends to happen when I run for a tube.

FiRaffe · 26/02/2015 19:31

Happy birthday for yesterday kismac, welcome to the 30s club!

Just back from brownies so catching up. Hope all babies stay put and test results are what people need!

I had an email from verbadaut (apologies for spelling, i'm in my phone) and they are doing money off an a free changing bag for first orders. Shall I dig out and post the details?

daholster · 26/02/2015 19:48

I think about lobster sometimes too. There was a lady there today at about 20 weeks who looked clearly very worried with her husband - she looked like she might have had a cry or want to, a bit red faced - and I heard her say "well that's the worst case scenario". When the midwives were announcing the delays some people are so rude, saying things like "Oh what a surprise, she was an hour late last time", and "well no it's not ok" as loudly as they dare but not loud enough to be challenged... And this couple are just sitting quietly. I could seriously have given some of them a piece of my mind if my hormones had been a bit more on my side!!!

All good, don't need any more scans cos growth is fine, I will just have one more appointment in 4 weeks at 37 weeks to make sure nothing has changed making me feel a c section might be better with all my surgery/hernia issues. Must start taking my iron though, I'm borderline anaemic with very low iron and I NEVER remember to take it. I'm dreadful, and quite ashamed because it's important for my HHT risk. And also, if I'm anaemic I'm not allowed a water birth... So I'd best get taking it!

Consultant said that if I need an emergency c section a consultant must be called to theatre, not registar, and surgical registrar informed too, so I feel more comfortable now that plans are in place. And I only need antibiotic cover if I need an instrumental delivery or a c section. And she said she had no idea if I would prolapse my ileostomy with pushing but that if I was going to have a normal delivery which I want and she agrees is best then I need to just concentrate on that and not worry. Think I'll pack my hernia belt and whack it on if it feels odd then try to forget about it... And as my surgeon said he will fix what needs fixing afterwards!!!

smogsville · 26/02/2015 19:53

Good news on scans people.

My DH gets grumpy about waiting times too. I don't think he takes the time to think about why there are delays. I mean it's not as if the staff are sitting there having a fag.

Lauren82000 · 26/02/2015 20:16

Sorry if this is TMI but just been to the loo and the baby is now in such an awkward position it hurt enough to make my eyes water Confused not constipated so it didn't hurt because of that just baby pressing on something made it hurt. Still hurts in my bum if I bend overBlush not happy with this baby spinning around at all. Been transverse most of the day and now think it's breech as I have heartburn and kicks down below. Turn back round again please baby, mummy was much more comfortable the other way round.

TinyTear · 26/02/2015 20:26

Eviction is booked! Eviction is booked! Eeek!

BrixtonBunny · 26/02/2015 20:40

Eek Tiny! So exciting! When when when?

OP posts:
TinyTear · 26/02/2015 20:42

31st March
So if I get bumped over by emergencies it will end up on April Fools

daholster · 26/02/2015 20:55

tiny and penguin too!!! Can't believe the delivery dates are actually beginning to appear in real!!! Is your induction date 14th March then penguin? Sooooo exciting!

Dd just pooed in the bath Hmm. At least she said "poo" when she was hiding behind the shower curtain so I could say "no no poo Kaitlin!" and grab her when there was only a teeny bit, then I got her on the loo and she finished it but not without having let go a big bit of the dump on the floor... Got to clean the blooming bath toys again now and decide whether to throw away my lovely scrubbing pom pom thing! But I did say wow well done you did a poo on the toilet! To which she said "big girl!", and I nodded and agreed in approval! It's not really toilet training, but at least she has managed a non traumatic toileting event actually on the loo which I guess can only be helpful.

Now she has just got into bed like a big girl (my words, I asked her to do this) and she did, and said "night night mummy, blanket please" and I tucked her in!!! OMG! I wonder how long she will wait before realising she isn't asleep and is fed up now...

Sorry, all about my dd again... Best go wipe down the bathroom now the spray has had a chance to do it's stuff.

RL20 · 26/02/2015 20:56

Thanks Penguin. I must have totally missed half of your story! You're having baby in 2 weeks wow!! ShockGrin
Hope all goes well!
And you too Tiny!

Aww Lauren hope you're not in too much pain. I've had the odd pain - hard to describe - where I've thought "what body part is that?!". Almost like one of my muscles is literally being pulled or something!
Oh and nothing can be TMI in pregnancy! Grin

Thank you Nunkie. Glad your baby is kicking away now too Smile
I must not have been around much on the threads at the time as I don't remember Lobster. Sounds awful though, bless her. I've often looked around at people when I've gone for a scan etc, and think "I wonder what their situation is, I hope everything's ok." Because you just never know.
A lady had come in when I was at the hospital this morning. I gather it was because of reduced or no movements. She was 41 weeks! Luckily after a while the baby moved and had been asleep according to the midwife. When we were in the waiting area afterwards the midwife came over to her and told her that they wanted to book her in for an induction tomorrow! Her and her friend looked so shocked but happy, I almost got a bit teary myself! Hormones Grin

Wineandchoccy · 26/02/2015 21:16

Blimey tiny and penguin that must make it feel very real to have a date.

I remember last year when I found out that I had a mmc at my 12 week scan we were in a side room but I heard somebody complaining about the wait and I so wanted to go out there and tell her exactly what I thought.

cinnamongreyhound · 26/02/2015 21:39

Glad it's good news all round!

Exciting that there are delivery dates coming up.

That's the thing about our scans at the foetal medicine clinic, everyone is there because of a problem and we're always late. The time before last it was a really long wait and she apologised and said there were a couple of difficult cases and then got so excited that my baby was moving! It's horrible seeing a room full of sad and/or worried parents, but as times gone on its made me feel that things could be a lot worse!

What a lovely gift kismac!

My friend had her first at 34 weeks and he was 5lb 1, looked so tiny but soon got used to holding him PenguinPoser but he did have to have micro nappies for a while!

PenguinPoser · 26/02/2015 21:47

Ooh exciting tiny! Thanks RL basically I'm being induced for obstetric cholestasis. Yeah induction date is the 14th march (surprised they do them at the weekend!) but I have to be admitted on the 13th for pessaries as my cervix is "unlikely to be favourable"! Consultant was talking about doing a membrane sweep on the 12th at clinic which freaked me out a bit thinking of someone I actually used to work with seeing my bits! Blush
I'm actually quite scared of the whole thing, induction, labour, pain, and baby being potentially small as early and maybe having to stay in hospital. Though fingers crossed not.

Sorry you're feeling uncomfortable Lauren everything down there is getting so squashed isn't it. Try some ball bouncing or altering your position more to try and encourage little one back to a more comfy position.

Sorry to hear about your previous mmc Wine this is exactly the reason why most people would be more than happy to wait longer times to make sure others with worse news are being looked after properly. Overhearing something like that at that time must have been simply awful.

Good luck with the bathroom cleaning daholster! And glad you have a good plan in loads for your labour now.

MoominMama22 · 26/02/2015 22:37

I feel like I take my eyes off this thread for 2 mins and suddenly I have 5 pages to read! Blimmin chatterboxes
Wasted a fair bit of time reading that funny labour stories thread, was that you that shared it boo? Very funny!!!
penguin oh nooo! I imagine all the snzpods will be faulty then as that was their new shipment . mine arrived today, I wasn't going to build it for a while as we are short of space .. But I suppose I better try and see if it works or not :( thanks for the heads up!!
And just caught up....2 weeks? Wowowow its getting real!
RL I got my mat claim form back a while ago, not due to start payments until 1st April. I rang up just to make sure when I needed to return the next form and it started some mess and confusion with them , it was just a simple question! Urgh. So now I think they are sorting it and I don't have to return any more forms . :S.
Glad your scare turned out fine :)
chicken our local hospital apparently has lots of balls so no need to bring one. They always have them on OneBorn so I presume most hosps will.
Happy belated 30th kismac

Nothing to report here except I'm dreading baby has turned around ! :( Was beautifully head down but has done some serious moving and is now kicking and punching and squirming away constantly I just wish I could tell what bit was what!

34+5

daholster · 27/02/2015 00:50

I'm awake and feeling pissed off! I went to bed at just before 10 because I was so tired. Dd has been coughing lots and is obviously coming down with something, and keeps crying about waking up coughing - not her fault but sleep was more like dozing for 15mins at a time with the lamp on because I was expecting dh back from the comedy club.

Then he got home and stinks of booze, wanted to see the bump, tucked me in which annoyed me because I was ubtucked cos I was hot and he was a bit hurt when I was stroppy about it... Probably fair enough and I apologised. Then he went to get something to eat do I tried to sleep again (never that easy when you are waiting for someone I find).

I dozed, he hiccuped downstairs so loudly I woke up!!! Dd coughed. I started feeling uncomfy whichever way I lay, with the dreaded restless legs starting. Omg having fidgety legs is SO ANNOYING!!! Then I started feeling hungry (not enough tea).

I have tossed and turned. The bump had also woken me a couple of times from almost sleep by wriggling and thumping. Dh is now in bed and snoring so loudly I have recorded him.

I'm so tired and just cannot sleep. Might bugger off downstairs instead. I have an early start with so much work to do tomorrow and I just want to give in and have a break, I'm exhausted... Have Braxton hicks to keep me awake now too!

AAAAAAAARGHHHH!!!!! Angry

daholster · 27/02/2015 01:23

Back ache Sad

And why on earth has our heating just come on?!

RL20 · 27/02/2015 04:25

Aww daholster that doesn't sound like a very fun night. I agree though I can't get any sleep whilst waiting up for my partner. He's gone work early this morning to try and get finished a bit earlier. So I got up for a wee, have come back to bed relatively awake now, and can't decide whether I'm peckish or not but don't want to wake up again later on starving so feel like I need to go and get a biscuit or something. Hmm

ChickenMe · 27/02/2015 06:05

Not a good night, holster. Hopefully you have managed to conk out now? I hate restless feet!
I'm headed in for my last day at work. Hooray! It's getting uncomfortable to stand now for long because the baby is on my bladder constantly. Yeow.

daholster · 27/02/2015 06:37

Wow 3.5hrs sleep. I could cry! Can't call in sick for extreme tiredness can I...?

daholster · 27/02/2015 06:39

Thanks guys. I slept from 2am til 05.30. Gah... Have a great day chicken!

PenguinPoser · 27/02/2015 06:40

Moomin hope yours isn't faulty too. It is one of the part 'A's with the hinges on. I emailed little green sheep straight away and now expecting a new part this morning.

daholster sorry you've had such a rubbish night. Hope you did manage to get some sleep in the end Brew

Hope your last day is ok Chicken!

I'm up early as going back to hospital to be a 'patient' for some medical student exams! Not entirely sure why I volunteered to go for the early exam, but don't mind overall I'm quite interested to see what they are like Smile

Lauren82000 · 27/02/2015 07:07

My night wasn't as bad as yours Daholster but it wasn't great. Still had some pain in my bum when I rolled over a couple of times. Baby is still in a painful positionConfused but think it's trying to turn again as it's feet are in my hip so more diagonal than anything. DD woke up at 4 and tried to come in our bed luckily I had woken up for a drink so directed her back again but had to sit on the chair by her bed till she dozed off again. Then when I eventually got back to sleep I had a major foot cramp that invaded my dream turns out my other foot was crushing the cramping one into the mattressBlush can't even control my limbs it seems.

Going to have to buy a ball I think to try and shift it back round, can't handle being this uncomfortable for days till it shifts. Sad

FiRaffe · 27/02/2015 07:08

Sorry for the bad nights ladies.

Have a good last day Chicken! So jealous...Over a month to go now!

Ooh that sounds fun Penguin- hope it's worth the early start
