No everyone just thinks I'm a lunatic now or is in awe Nunkie! I've had many women say 'at 34 weeks I could barely walk round the block' :) I don't need to wee at all but my baby is still very high so I'm not seeing lots generally anyway. I go before I leave every time but did that before I was pregnant anyway. Lots of my parkrun friends want to send a pic in to get me as cover photo of the week for most pregnant parkrunner but I don't like to be centre of anything so hoping no one actually sends pic. Will try and link to our fb photos, hang on. May have to try from laptop! I've done the questionnaire as I've had babies before, I think it's closed now though.

Thanks squattingNeville it does give me an energy boost, for a bit!

Try drinking a cold drink RL20, give them a call rather than going in as you're still getting movements and see what they say.

cinnamongreyhound · 26/02/2015 10:22

Does this work?

If not this is the album and you'll have to see if you can spot me!

FiRaffe · 26/02/2015 10:25

I'm only a short-ass (only barely 5ft 3), so maybe I just need to pump it up more!

Better to be checked RL and easier in the day than if you are still worried tonight and all the day services are closed.

All you runners are putting me to shame. I can barely run anyway, but doing it whilst this pregnant is truly fantastic!

Nunkie · 26/02/2015 10:56

I see you cinnamon! :0D (and your cute greyhound!) Great photo! :0)

I think it would be great for you to be on the cover, cos it would encourage other women to know that they can continue far into pregnancy ...and might discourage other folk from assuming 'Well obviously you're not running at the moment..' - which has happened to me a few times :0) But totally understand if you don't like being front and centre :0D

(Thanks FiRaffe - I don't /look/ too fantastic when i'm doing it :0D)

BananaToast · 26/02/2015 10:59

RL I've also felt like baby's been quieter the last day or so, but like you I'm still feeling movements. Going to pay more attention today to see if I'm just not noticing them as much, and will go get checked out tomorrow if worried.

Lauren82000 · 26/02/2015 11:37

The majority of movements I've been getting are an elbow/knee/foot/hand poking out and dragging across the bump. Hardly any strong kicks, plenty of hiccups though and the odd full body wiggle. I mentioned it to the mw at my appointment last week and she didn't seem bothered at all as heartbeat was fine and baby was still trying to swim away from the doppler. (I really do think they can sense it's there and don't like it) I still don't think I have an obvious movement pattern and it doesn't like any music on the radio as I never get a response even if I do a bit of car dancing. I guess some babies are just quieter than others and there is less and less room in there. (Still got my round football bump at the front although it is starting to look more like a beach ball!) 32+1w now.

I would get checked out if you are worried RL it'll put your mind at rest.

ChickenMe · 26/02/2015 11:40

Hope u ok RL, agree that you should give them a ring.
I'm defo in awe of those still exercising. I try to keep active around the house and walk. Thing is I get BHs if I walk and same with housework!! So it's little and often is best for me I think!

smogsville · 26/02/2015 12:07

daholster you're a legend with your night shifts and out of hours. consider yourself saluted. Yes I never take the mini Boden route personally as I know I'll get cross when stuff gets dirty. Mum buys JoJo stuff for DD in the sale. It washes very well without shrinking and takes a vanish bar for stains without any probs but I think it's better for older children whose growth has slowed down a bit as they get much more wear out of the (quite expensive) individual items. DD has been wearing three JoJo short sleeved dresses for nearly a year - in this weather I pair them with long sleeved vests underneath and tights to keep her warm enough. She looks pleasingly 'street'!

Also have heard that people had problems with primarni vests and sleep suits shrinking in wash, for what it's worth I've always found them to be absolutely fine. Will be reusing loads of them for this baby.

cinnamon - once again wow for your run. A salute for you too.

And you Nunkie! I think I would just wee everywhere if I tried to run anywhere even if I could get a reasonably pace up. That tends to happen when I run for a tube. Am planning a wax at around 36 wks. That's what I did last time and found it ok. Just basic bikini though nothing more exotic. Just to be neat when I'm on the slab having my sunroof prised open Blush

RL - defo call mw she will be able to advise if nurse qualified to assess you. Assume you will have spoken I someone by now as your appt was at 1045?

I feel like on fire this morning - a lovely man has come to clear the garden waste and I've ordered the turf and topsoil to be delivered on sat morning from a local outfit recommended by a couple of people who live nearby. And it wasn't nearly as expensive as I'd thought. Have informed DH that he needs to be up early sat morning to prepare the ground. We talked about it last night and I think he probably assumed he'd be off the hook as I wouldn't be able to organise it all to come in time. He has underestimated a preggo on a mission Wink

TheBooMonster · 26/02/2015 12:41

Been to see midwife, she's getting concerned about the persistent leukocytes in my samples, though they always come back fine. She got in a bit of a tizz about how tender my abdomen is though, wants me to go to triage if it gets any more tender or feels hard... Well that there is a fab way of convincing a woman who's a bit of a hyperchondriac that her placenta is going to explode... And I didn't even realise it was tender till she started prodding and poking, now it's really sore :/ she reckons my water consumption is my body trying to flush out an infection and wouldn't entertain sending me for GD blood tests.

smogsville · 26/02/2015 12:47

Boo I have a memory of having leuko thingys in urine samples in first preg. Obviously I can't check my own notes as would have had to pay £50 to get hospital to 'release' them to me Angry Never seemed to amount to anything though and I passed the GTT then too. Hmmm. Have you not had a GTT then? We all get it at my hospital irrespective of risk factors. It was non fasting so you turn up, drink a vile massive cup of lucozade, hang around for an hour not eating or drinking anything else, have blood taken and then leave. Could you perhaps insist?

Has she prescribed something for the possible infection or taken a sample TheBooMonster? If you don't get anywhere get a gp appointment.

Lauren82000 · 26/02/2015 14:18

I second what cinnamon said. If your not happy with what she told you get a second opinion. Much better to put your mind at rest than to have something happen.

mswibble · 26/02/2015 14:36

I'm very impressed with Sainsburys baby stuff, such a shame they dont have a bigger range or stock anything online. I love that their babygros have the integrated mitts and they are a really good thickness, look like they will wash very well.

cinnamon I think it is amazing how active you are at this stage! I'm one of those Jabbas for who even a walk round the shops is sore!

I'm getting a lovely mix of movement now, last night I gave up on the telly and just lay on the sofa with my top rolled up watching all the little kicks and wobbles. Its mesmerising!

32 weeks today! Grin

smogsville · 26/02/2015 14:40

mswibble I can confirm sainsburys stuff washes well too.

it's confession time. I just lay down on the sofa and caught up on Sunday's episode of Mr Selfridge! Felt like a proper reprobate watching telly in middle of day Wink

FiRaffe · 26/02/2015 15:55

I really want to have a nap....first day back to work and really need to sleep. Off to brownies straight from work though!
Just had a call from the Health Visitor - she's booked in an appointment to go through things and to show me a dvd about dealing with crying!!!

daholster · 26/02/2015 16:20

Hello everyone! Poor you boo. I had a tender bump and was told to rest more, it did settle when I have myself a few days of laziness and lying down. I often have Leica too. You are obviously worrying now so I would check she has sent off the sample to be tested for infection and then see your GP I think. That's what I'd do anyway.

RL hope all is ok.

Am sitting in the antenatal clinic. Everyone is bitching about how late the scans and consultants are running (average 45 mins). But I don't care because I know it's because some appointments aren't easy - what happens if a fetal death has been found or something? That poor patient is not going to be in and out like that are they- and they shouldn't be rushed. People have no idea what is going on behind closed doors. I also know that the consultant will afford me the time I need. What is an extra hour out of my day in the grand scheme of things?!

And dh is desperately trying to get back from the airport in time so I really don't mind waiting today!!! He is en route from Heathrow but at this time the traffic could be dreadful...

Got a call from dd's nursery today, she was hit in the nose with a heavy object by another child (by all accounts it looks like a lobster pot!!! It's in the outdoor sand pit...) And wasn't settling easily wincing at the ice pack which is unlike her and they thought her nose looked a bit flat... So I abandoned work and went to get her. When I arrived she was stuffing her face with a handful of custard!!! And instantly started telling me about her banged nose! It looks ok actually, swollen a little above the nose and seems to be getting slightly black eyes... But she seemed ok in herself so I dropped her at nan and grandad's instead of taking her to A&E with instructions to take her if she starts vomiting or seems drowsy... But hopefully she will be fine. Poor little bean!!!

33+2

RL20 · 26/02/2015 16:45

Just a quick update before I head off for my last shift at work (besides possibly helping out this weekend).

All went well at the hospital thank goodness.
They monitored baby's heartbeat and movements etc for around half an hour. All seemed well and the midwives were happy. Waiting for my wee sample results and was told I was going in for a scan to double check everything was ok. They said the scan was because I had concerns for the second time within 4 weeks, which I thought was really helpful and I wasn't expecting it at all. The doctor shown me all baby's bodyparts and heart etc Smilehe moved a little whilst on screen aswell and it also shown he was head down, and had moved from breech since last week! Although he could still keep turning so it's not as though it's a final position, we'll see!
Typically I've been having lots of movement now this afternoon! But I'm not complaining and don't regret going in at all, they were more than happy to help again.
Thanks for all of your messages this morning and to those of you who said that your feeling the same way, don't hesitate to go in/call your midwife as like I said that's what they are there for x

daholster · 26/02/2015 16:53

RL that's really good news!

I have had the scan now waiting for the consultant. Dh didn't make it Sad oh well. He said he doesn't mind too much it was a bonus and we will meet him soon anyway Smile

He is head down (and to my right so his face is under my stoma!!! Made the imaging a bit difficult!) and measuring on the 50th centile so no growth concerns which is great Smile I'm interested to know whether this is average influenced by my previous pregnancy or not - cos if not then he will be bigger at this rate than dd and I won't be able to re-use those first size baby grows!!! Not important, of course... But my little dd was so cute and dinky Smile But then I was ill when I had her, she was 9th centile on weight when she was born and 75th in length poor thing! Quickly caught up to 75th all round...

I am waffling again... Anyway they estimate he is 4lb 4oz today, at 33+2. His little face is so cute and reminds me so much of dd! Smile

TheBooMonster · 26/02/2015 17:01

Glad everything went ok at the hospital rl

She's definitely sent my urine sample off for analysis, can't get a GP appointment for three weeks, but if the test comes back positive the reception will call to let me know I have a prescription for antibiotics.

We don't routinely have the GTT here and she wouldn't refer me for a GTT because there was nothing in my urine, even after I said that I knew people who had GD who'd had clear urine samples, but I'll speak to the consultant at the scan in three weeks as my new midwife seems a bit too laid back :/

brummagem · 26/02/2015 17:04

Fantastic news RL. I remember my dr and midwife saying they'd rather be cautious and do all of that stuff than have us keep quiet for not wanting to worry anyone and miss anything sinister. It's not natural to want to pester people about health stuff tho We're too stoical I guess. That stiff upper lip and British reserve Smile

I'm impressed with all that running! I was running before pregnancy well more of a jog/walk than a run but was still out and about but since told about low placenta and taking it easy have become a right couch potato. I still walk my dog but don't do anything else. Apart from chase 4 year olds around all day!

Had my 31 wk midwife appt and my 'Little' Bump is now giant elephant. Bump is measuring above the 90th centile line. Eek! I know it could be mainly fluid and he could still be a discreet size inside but those 50cm verbeaudet sleepsuits are now looking rather small and more suitable for Barbie than the possible behemoth I'm incubating. Midwife said to see if the hospital can plot him during my 32wk placental scan. That should give a bigger (no pun intended) scan. They might need a 40" screen to fit him in though Grin

Hope you're all keeping well.

TheBooMonster · 26/02/2015 17:05

daholster my DH spuffles and complains about the wait every time, I remember the last scan we had with DD I said that clearly someone had had a bad outcome from their scan, and we weren't a priority as we'd waited so long and that was a good thing. I was half right, they almost sent me to Boston for a c-section because she'd stopped growing. It's fairly understandable that they tend to run late, I just wish they had a system like in Argos, where you had a number and you could see how many people were in front of you!

kismac · 26/02/2015 17:32

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is well. I've had no wifi for over a week but this should be fixed tomorrow, so really far behind with all the chatter.

Good new RL that everything is ok.

Happy birthday Banana. It was my birthday yesterday. The big 30! Eeek! And of course, I wake up with a cold, so instead of having a nice birthday tea I had a bowl of cereal and went to bed early. Oh well.

I think baby is stuck now. I can only really feel big rolling movements from side to side and luckily baby is head down, so don't think can turn now. My bump has also dropped which freaked me out, especially when I text my mum and her response was to come round to have a feel (she used to be a midwife). But everything is all ok, but it has got me thinking that baby might put in an early appearance!

Also, DH got me a lovely birthday surprise...he bought us a car! Yay! I had moaned at the beginning of the pregnancy that it'd be nice to have but I knew it was an expensive luxury that we didn't really need but he's obviously been mulling it over and has bought one. We pick it up mid March. Very excited!

I'm now on my wind down from work and now no longer work Fridays, which is a relief as I'm getting really tired. Only 4 weeks left before I start mat leave :)

RL20 · 26/02/2015 18:22

Thank you everyone. Such a relief.

Happy Birthday for yesterday kismac!
And yay for the new car. Like you say not a necessity, expensive but worth it for when you want to take baby anywhere not in walking distance!
Baby is probably in a comfy position then! Some days I only feel rolls and turns and others I can't really describe, not kicks because he's probably a bit big for that but I'm guessing other limbs thrashing around, lol.
The lady who did my scan today said he has long legs Shock like his dad then, as he's around 6"2, 6"3.

Boo I agree. Obviously not all scans are going to be straight forward unfortunately. You have to give respect and wait your turn, whatever time you've been given.
I remember when I went for my 12 week scan with my partner, the time ran over, and his family (who he was working for at the time) had left him a few missed calls and answer phone messages asking how long it was going to be etc!! I was fuming.

RL20 · 26/02/2015 18:24

Also as I looked back on posts earlier I remember seeing someone had posted about thinking they had got everything but had forgotten about the Isofix base! I had too! Looks like it'll have to come out of March's payday, I think! Confused
