Good news! One healthy little bean present with a nice strong 137bpm heartbeat! Can't quite believe it after last time. Re-done my make-up twice now, sitting at my desk at work and trying to concentrate, but clearly failing!

So if you don't have many symptoms, don't worry, it doesn't necessarily mean anything's wrong. Thanks for all your good wishes, it's really helped! xx

Choccywoccydodah · 05/03/2015 10:15

I know it's silly as I had my scan Tuesday, but has anyone tested since their bfp?
With all my losses, I never got a dark line, so i just wanted to see what a dark line looked like and just got this Grin Came up instantly of course lol, and I've not tested since Friday 13th feb (unlucky for some!) and won't test again, but just wanted to see that line!

Amazing whoknew!! So glad you got to see your little one! Do you have a piccy?
Good luck getting through the rest of the day!

whoknew28 · 05/03/2015 10:23

Ginger and Sarky - thanks for the messages, it was so weird having a nice scan experience! And a MMC obviously doesn't dictate something going wrong the next time, so odds are you'll be fine. I'm going for another scan at 10 weeks, just because my MMC happened at 8 weeks or so, although discovered at 12 wks. Just hope the bean keeps going till then.

I'll try and post a scan pic up later when I have access to a computer (without a dozen work colleagues looking on!)

whoknew28 · 05/03/2015 10:24

Thanks Choccy! And yes, I keep doing the odd test ?? You're not alone! x

gingerbreadmam · 05/03/2015 10:34

congrats whoknew so pleased for you! cant wait to see pic.

Cineraria · 05/03/2015 10:55

Great news, Whoknew! Looking forward to the photo.

gaggiagirl · 05/03/2015 11:25

I still dont even have a booking in appt! 9 weeks today.

batfish · 05/03/2015 11:52

Congrats whoknew on your scan, it must have been amazing after your sad experience last time. And gives me hope as I have no symptoms!

choccy yep I did 4 tests at time of BFP and then another a week and a half later and then another a week and half ago as was convinced that despite a good scan a couple of weeks before I wasn't pregnant anymore due to lack of symptoms! it was nice to see the strong lines Smile

MrsEvansAlmost · 05/03/2015 12:12

having a major wardrobe melt down. at 10 weeks my bloat seems to be keeping me.out of normal jeans meaning the oh so fetching leggings are the only thing I can get into and I have an award ceremony to attend today for work with the local press there!/Blush hoping I can use pg related sickness to keep me out of the pics! getting very jealous of you ladies with scan and pics 2 weeks is dragging!!

Choccywoccydodah · 05/03/2015 12:20

Lol MrsE! Can you wear dresses with tights? Might be more comfy.

Gaggia I'd chase your appt up if you can. I've been told not to even phone my gp until after my 8 week scan, so mine will be late. But if you called them as normal, they should at least have sent you an appt by now!

Meant to be going shooting (clay) with dh at 1, so not in the mood esp as all I'll be doing is watching as not sure I'm allowed to shoot, then going out for dinner later as ds off to the GPs overnight after preschool :)
However I don't fancy eating much either!!
So far today all I've managed is a sip of lucozade, small glass of oj and currently forcing my way though a cup of decaf tea.

batfish · 05/03/2015 13:25

Oh no mrse - do you have any floaty tops and a hair bobble to put on your trouser buttons to give you a bit more room?

I can't believe how slowly time is moving, I keep having the odd bit of excitement about my scan on Saturday but mostly I'm just convinced that my baby will have died since the last scan, it's so awful! Only 44.5 hours to go......Sad

ginzillas · 05/03/2015 13:26

Hi ladies. I'm bloated too but am wearing my jeans a bit undone with long tops! Work from home anyway so don't need to dress smart. I remember a bump band being really useful last time as you wear it over your normal jeans so that last longer. I've got booking in tomorrow at hospital but am having to take DD as got no one to babysit and DH can't get off work. It's going to be chaos with her there isn't it?!

ginzillas · 05/03/2015 13:40

Sorry you're so worried batfish*. It can be hard not to fret! Am sure all will be ok for you.

batfish · 05/03/2015 13:59

Ah thanks ginzillas hopefully I'm just being silly. I don't think I actually believe I am pregnant due to feeling totally normal so that probably isn't helping! And then when I google for reassurance thinking surely I would know if something was wrong I find some good stories and then some where people had no idea that their babies had died 2 weeks before or whatever. No idea where all this worrying has come from, I'm normally the most laid back person.

ginzillas · 05/03/2015 15:32

I think the hormones really do it to you! My anxiety levels have gone through the roof too.

Toast85 · 05/03/2015 17:56

Got my booking appointment next Thursday, I'll be 9+3. Glad I phoned them to chase it as not sure when I would have heard from them otherwise. And mw sounded lovely over the phone.
So pleased to hear about good scan results! Batfish, all things crossed for Saturday Smile

crazypuglady · 05/03/2015 18:28

Had my booking appointment today. The midwife is absolutely lovely ??

Got my bounty pack and Emma's diary with the voucher for the first pack.

Just got to wait another 4 weeks for my scan now. Feels like forever away.

Toast85 · 05/03/2015 19:16

Maybe a silly question but have you been taking DP/DH to your booking in appointments?

Cineraria · 05/03/2015 20:02

I took DH along to the booking appointment. Last time it was handy having him there as they asked some questions about his family's health that I wouldn't have been confident answering. This time they just confirmed the information they already had so he wouldn't have needed to be there if I hadn't been so rubbish about having the blood test done.

flipflump · 05/03/2015 20:02

Toast, I did take DH to my booking in with my 1st, they ask lots of family history questions.

Jealous of all the booking in apps and scans, I don't get to see my GP for another 3 weeks, then booking in and scan will follow. Confused It wasn't this slow with my 1st, they've changed the system.

ginzillas · 05/03/2015 20:15

flipflump how far along are you? I'm eight weeks now and only got my appointment because I called the hospital to find out why I hadn't heard from them - and it turned out they had lost my referral form! So the bookings lady immediately gave me an appointment.

I wish I could take DH with me but he can't get time off at such short notice.

whoknew28 · 05/03/2015 21:34

Phew... long day. Just spent the last 2 hours cleaning the house as have guests staying over this weekend... I'm sure pregnant ladies aren't supposed to do this kind of manual labour. Excuse the pun Blush

Here's my scan pic as promised! Not lots to see at 7+1, but the top big blob is the baby, and the blob under that is the yolk sac. So glad she was able to see it all via an abdominal scan rather than vag cam! I've got a retroverted uterus, which can make it harder to see, so was convinced I'd be stripping off and throwing dignity to the wind yet again... Think private clinics have much better equipment though, so blushes were spared!

Batfish - not long now. The wait is so bloody awful isn't it? This last week I've done pretty much everything to distract myself - inventing jobs round the house, meeting up with friends, several books on the go, cooking more involved dinners - anything! I'm sure it'll go well, will be sending all good vibes your way Flowers

Flipflump - It might be worth getting pushier with them re your appt/scan, it can take forever otherwise? Feel your pain though - I've self referred (as we're moving to a new area in the next couple of months) but still haven't heard back yet, will be making a nuisance of myself next week Grin

MrsE - totally sympathise. Nothing fits but daren't get any maternity stuff yet just in case. Bloat + high-waisted jeans = just no.

Have a date for my booking in but I'll be 10+1. Was either that or go at 9+1 and share the appointment with another lady which seemed a bit crap. She won't send off for my scan until then so really hope it will work out time wise!

Friend wants me to go out for dinner this weekend. Finding it really hard to summon up the will to eat so not keen to go but have to. Pants!

Hope you all have a good day Smile
