New (and probably) final thread for those of us due in March (with a few lovely February ladies who didn't want to leave).

I am now officially overdue and with it quite grumpy! Finding it hard to find the motivation to play the games dd wants to, which in turn makes me feel like a rubbish mother.
Nothing is happening with the bump today, in contrast to the last couple of weeks when I have had so many twinges and tightenings I was convinced baby was coming. Except then he didn't .
I just want to get on with it. Come on baby!

shelley1977 · 09/03/2015 12:49

Today is my due date and after the last few days reasonably hopeful will be here soon Smile My other babies were all within 4 days of date apart from youngest who was 10 days late but I had signs either till few days before. Really ready for baby but also nervous about how it will go. Hoping for easy labour like previous experiences but think this baby could be a bit bigger than im use to! Getting a bit drained by the period pains, cramps and tightenings. hoping everyones babies born are doing well and babies due will be here soon x

Blue03 · 09/03/2015 13:22

Natalie I am also due 18/3!

Finished work today. Strange feeling leaving the office knowing the next time I'll be there, other than KIT days will be in 2016!!

Hoping she comes along soon...

nataliekristin · 09/03/2015 14:11

hi blue, so excited it's only over a week! mentally preparing myself for another two just in case though! is this your first? its my first and the whole not knowing what to expect is really scary!

Blue03 · 09/03/2015 19:29

Natalie i have a 2yo ds, expecting a dd. Not sure if knowing is better or worse... So many things that can be different to last time I guess. Still, I'm naively hoping for an early arrival. One thing I can say is all the old wives tales I exhausted last time round and they did bugger all Confused

ThisWayNow · 09/03/2015 19:36

Congratulations to the new babies.
We bought the new pram today. I was like a kid in a sweet shop and am so pleased with what we have chosen. Too embarrassed to tell anyone I know how much we spent but I really wanted to get something really new and modern for this one. DD1 had second hand ones but we are in a better financial position this time round so I wanted it to be a priority. It's a Silver Cross Wayfarer, anyone else gone for that?
For those of you with other young DCs I'm interested in what arrangements you've made for their care while you'll be in labour? We only recently moved nearer my mum so we've arranged for her to have DD1 but I really don't know what we would have done if we hadn't moved.

Think I underestimated how hard recovery from a c section was going to be.

A week on and I'm struggling. Everyone keeps saying its only been a week, it's major surgery, I'm doing too much etc. Think I expected to be back on my feet by now, which sounds silly reading it back. Must relax more!!

Blue03 · 09/03/2015 20:15

Gudgy take it easy hun- u wont get an excuse as good as this for a long time (housework not done, still wearing pjs at 3pm etc).

Thisway, we are lucky to have kind neighbours who have offered to kip on our sofa in the event we need to slope off to hospital in the middle of the night, so we can leave DS in his bed. My SIL will take DS for a night or two and has made work aware so she will take time off at the last minute if needs be. As for the rest of DH's family they have offered fuck all in the way of help. Mine are a bit of a drive away, and if needs be would drop everything to help out, all I need to do is ask x

Gudgyx · 09/03/2015 22:51

Thanks blue. I just feel guilty and lazy leaving everything to OH. He is loving it mind you, and is amazing with the baby. Keeps telling me to go have a nap, or relaxing bath etc. asking if I'm okay, telling me I need to tell him if I'm not, that I'm a brilliant mum and I'm just going to get even better when I can actually do it properly and am all healed.

But yeah totally didn't think recovering would be this hard, worrying and painful. I'll get therr.

theonewiththenoisychild · 09/03/2015 22:54

thisway i have a planned c section and the dc's will be staying with the grandparents (oh's dad and his wife) and oh will stay there the night of my c section. if i go into labour then my good friends who live behind us will take the dc's for us until dmil and dfil can pick them up. if i go into labour the weekend they are away then we will call oh's niece and she will hwlp out

ThisWayNow · 10/03/2015 00:56

Blue and TheOne, sounds like you both know some lovely people to help out. Childcare was something I'd not considered with everything else going on. I'm putting together a labour bag for DD with new clothes , new toothbrush, nappies etc so staying away from home for a night or 2 without me may be more of an adventure than a worry. She's only ever had 1 night away from us before and that was when DH and I stayed in a hotel overnight to celebrate wedding anniversary.

M27J5M · 10/03/2015 09:12

Hello ladies Smile can see your all as fed up as me! 38+5 now and just want pregnancy to be over! Starting to scare myself too at the thought of delivering this baby, had my DS 6weeks early so he was a teeny 5lb2oz, God knows what size this bubs will be :0

m33r · 10/03/2015 09:53

I have a headache. I feel sick all the time. I am 38+4. Come on baby!

Btw, anyone any idea how much pineapple I should be eating? Pretty sure it's not helping my nausea but willing to try anything to bring on baby...

Lifeisabeach · 10/03/2015 10:35

38+1, nothing at all happening here, not even lots of BH. Everything feels very low and there's lots of pressure low down, but I don't think this one is going to be early. I'm ok with that though, still got a few things to sort out in the house etc.

Seeing the MW today, I guess this'll be the last appointment until after my due date.

Gudgy definitely take it easy. I know it's hard but you'll be back up and running in no time. Rushing it will only set you back.

fishfingerSarnies · 10/03/2015 11:16

39 weeks today, one week to section. Just waved my dd off to go stay with Mil she is so excited I had to hold back the tears and then waddle home to my empty flat feeling very sorry for myself lol. Oh well plenty of time to relax and clean and get the house just right before baby number 2 shows up.
I had agonising fanny daggers all evening it was making my eyes water but all quiet in the night. Wouldn't mind if he came now with dd safe and happy out the way so fingers crossed it might just happen.

With regards to the pineapple I think I read that you'd have to eat 9 of them skin and leaves included in about 10 mins for it to do anything even remotely labour inducing. Sorry.

shelley1977 · 10/03/2015 11:25

Im starting to feel quite drained by the stop start of this pregnancy, every time something does start its a little bit more strength/pain in right direction, just need that final jump to really kick things off. hopefully babies start popping out for us all soon x

m33r · 10/03/2015 12:16

Thanks fish. In that case, no more pineapple for me. It's just giving me mouth ulcers ... Now a toffee crisp; that sounds yummy!

I have given in to it and opted to stay I my pjs all day and do nothing other than read, box sets and eat. Let's see if that gets the time on quicker...

Come on babies!!

samza10 · 10/03/2015 14:32

40+1 and getting fed up of well-wishers texts and calls…still pregnant…we will let you know when there is news!! Getting some very mild period type pain and definitely some unusual mucousy goings on down there..with hints of blood (sorry tmi)..could this be the start? Doesn't really feel like it, but desperate for the wait to be over!

theonewiththenoisychild · 10/03/2015 15:07

i know how you feel samza except when i see people they ask you not had that baby yet?? well yes ive left him at home and put a football up my top Angry im only 37+2. c section is 2 weeks today

coastergirl · 10/03/2015 16:58

My little dude Callum arrived this morning at 11.17 by planned c section, weighing 8lbs 1.5oz Smile I'll post a photo when I can, but so far so good. His blood sugar is a little low but they don't seem to be too concerned.

Ellizardo · 10/03/2015 18:07

Coaster! Congrats! Callum is a lovely name. Glad GD all under control.
Am going in Monday at 9pm for induction at 39 weeks and am spending last gasps of freedom waddling about John Lewis and eating a steak. Otherwise, feeling everyone else's pain, impatience, irritation etc.
Uppababy finally delivered (apparently, I wasn't there to receive) my new Vista a month late...that's a month less time to figure out how to put it together!

m33r · 10/03/2015 18:24

coaster congratulations!!!! Can't wait to see the pics. How're you feeling?

MGFM · 10/03/2015 19:10
